    One of the BEST unboxing and detailed look at the setup and slow roller set up. Most guys speed through that part.
    I’m looking to buy a KJ3 when I return doe deployment in December.

    Really good video Jim! That KJ3 looks like a game changer, so many options and becoming a real one stop shop for all your needs, just need a PhD in barbecue for all its configurations

      Totally agree! I can think of many other grills that have the versatility and include everything you need right out of the box.

    Hi Jim, I just found your channel today as I am in the market for a Big Joe III. Really loving the vids, well put together and informative. My question is not about the Big Joe but your skillets, I love them, where did you get them. Keep up with the good work. Simon

    Hi Jim have you found any faults or improvements you would recommend to KJ3, I expecting mines to arrive in August 2020 so i am reading and watching all videos on KJ3.

      I haven't. It works a dream. Suppose if I was to be really picky Id like them to strengthen the divide and conquer arms as when the grills are on the top level without the sloroller it will flex a little. apart from that no.

    Nice vid. Love to see the fun you 2 have. Can you cook like lasagnas and potato dishes/ stews on it. The big Joe is enorm but i can see how nice space is. Q; in your set up. Is it needed to fill up the chaok basket all the way up to get a good heat? In general does it need more then the Classic III?

    • @Onlyslaggin
      @Onlyslaggin  4 года назад +1

      Thanks, I generally use about the same amount of fuel in the Big Joe as the Classic. It possible to cook anything on them really. Ive not found anything we can't do yet.

    Hi Jim,
    I have the classic model but was thinking about moving up to the Big Joe. Do you find that you are using it more than your classic so far? I feel like the added room will be a huge benefit. Cheers.

    • @Onlyslaggin
      @Onlyslaggin  4 года назад +1

      I love the Big Joe 3, it does need a little more charcoal, and definitely needs more space.... it should come with its own postcode!! lol The added room is nice especially if you intend to use pots and pans at the same time.

    I have to admit I need to upgrade from the Jr. That meal looked amazing but I have to say never put tomato based products in a cast iron as it removes the seasoning on the pan.

    • @Onlyslaggin
      @Onlyslaggin  4 года назад +1

      I don't find it too bad in mine. They are well seasoned as they get used multiple times per day. I did make a mistake with one a few years ago when making a sauce and stupidly added cider vinegar to deglaze the pan..... was in auto pilot and wasn't thinking!! was so annoyed with myself as I ruined the seasoning on that one!

    Hello! If you only buy 1 KJ for a family of 4 with occasionally some friends, would you recommend the classic III or the big joe III? Thanks

    • @Onlyslaggin
      @Onlyslaggin  4 года назад +2

      Honestly in most instances the Classic 3 will be fine. I tend to use a lot of pans etc at the same time and already having the classic 2 the Big Joe 3 was a natural progression.

      Onlyslaggin BBQ thanks for this response I’ve been back and forth on getting the extra large one vs the normal size KJ3.

    • @Onlyslaggin
      @Onlyslaggin  4 года назад +2

      Yeah the space is good. If the price doesn't put you off then go with the Big Joe. Always good to have more grilling space.

    Looks like you have a garage full of grills which are all obsolete.
