I just noticed that this is five years old! Wow... what an eye opening account of a day behind Shafiroff's workforce, impressive to say the least! It is good to know old world ethics and ingenuity still exist in today's climate! What a pleasure to have viewed! KUDO'S to you and the shop, will definitely be in my wheelhouse now. Seth
I have the 434 Ultra Street in my 73 Nova. With me in it it weighs a little less than 3300 lbs. Running 9" slicks my best time is 10.43 at 127. Thats with 94 octane 34 degrees timing and shifting at 6500. Run through the lights at about 7000. You get what you pay for.
A lot of BS coming from his yap. Not saying his products are not good because they are. Used one of his 540s in a race car. He is a bit expensive (good quality). I do recommend his stuff. Just be aware you are not getting a fantastic deal especially when you factor in his buying power,,,,,
might be a "get what you pay for"...perhaps his guys really do give a shit and treat it like their own, it all takes time which = money...good to hear it ran well for you.
Tried a couple... he is not nearly as high as those... I am not into running those shops down... they knew we were behind the eight ball... for a large payday... it was his other customers who saw us run high 3's with it ' grenading ' through the win light... we need them no more... but they got us through. It is what it is... when you know what's up before calling! Just saying.

Shafiroff made me killer 434 thank you so much Shafiroff
I have watched several video's of shops- I am impressed. Plan on buying a SBC next spring for my 57.
I'd love to have one of his SBC's, but I'd settle for one of those cool t-shirts.
Just ordered my 540 from Vinnie for my 68 Corvette!!

My advice is to move out of NY, just like everyone is leaving CA.
Not one time did I hear him say anything about a warranty
