John Lithgow really nailed it out of the park with his role as George Henderson. Hated him as the bad guy in Santa Claus the Movie but loved him as a family man in this movie.
At 0:40, I wonder why Harry was standing in the middle of the street to get hit by the car. Unless maybe he was crossing the street to get food for his family on the other side and then ended up getting hit by the car.
From 3:49-4:02, what did George find so scary about looking at Harry's hand? Was he afraid that Harry was going to jump up and grab him or did he get a surprise feeling thinking he hit a bear since he mentioned that he thought he hit a bear? If that's what he thought, he could have thought that maybe it was a gorilla he hit since Nancy thought it was a gorilla and gorilla's have hands.
@@CaptainKotetsu Yes that could be true since maybe the moment he looked at Harry's hand, it was a different looking hand compared to a gorilla looking hand where Harry's hand must have looked bigger than a gorilla's hand realizing his hand was not a gorilla hand and might have assumed he was turning over a bear's claw but saw a hand instead.
@@KevKoster-yq5nx Yes, that could be true since he thought he hit a bear as he said from 1:14-1:15 while Nancy thought it was a gorilla but, he could have maybe thought that Nancy was right it might have been a gorilla and not a bear by just looking at the hand since gorillas have hands and not claws. He probably assumed it was a gorilla until Ernie said it could be a Bigfoot at 4:38.

And they don't make family film's like this anymore. This is what you call an absolute classic.

I can understand Harry getting pushed out of the way by the car but, why would he get knocked out at 0:43 since he's very strong?

I think it was the realization that he was looking at something completely unknown. At that moment he knew it wasn’t a man, gorilla or bear.

He was probably expecting to turn that hand to see claws or something and not fingers. That’s my guess
