I think it could also be an elephant growl. Maybe a combo of the two. I’m sure the sound designers played around with a couple of animal roars.
When I was little while watching this, I thought she said, "I was gonna kick that flower for the rest of my life."
Thank the stars I was fortunate enough to be a nineties kid and know this movie exists. I can't imagine that.
