My parents introduced me to your music when I was a baby, and it was the only thing that could send me to sleep when I was really little. In between dreams was released only 23 days before I was born. I’m only in high school, but I’ve been listening to your music my whole life. I watched the curious George movie growing up and I know every word to upside down. It feels so surreal that I can experience brand new music from you that is just as good as the music released before I was born. Thank you
Same. I was born in 02, I grew up listening to him. I remember every camping trip, my parents would play “in between dreams” on the road. Now his music reminds me of not only Curious George, but also Yosemite, Sequoia, Big Sur, etc. Camping trips seem incomplete without some Jack Johnson. God bless you and have a great 2021!

I was born in 06 so i was like a month old when the curious George album dropped, so it was extra special for me, what with lullaby, people watching, broken, question, and upside down, to name a few favorites. Easily the best moment of my short life was when the girl in my class who volunteered to make our graduation slideshow put upside down in there. Hilariously enough the song started playing right after the first slide of me came up.

@@MakoGo Good question with an unexpected story! I randomly visited the channel page a couple days ago while watching videos before I went to sleep. It was already uploaded and in the channel videos, but was listed as “unlisted.” Maybe it was a glitch in the system and it was accidentally visible a couple days before it was supposed to “premiere”? Regardless, it was very late at night and very quiet where I am, and the view count was super low ... so as a fan for 20 years I had this trippy experience thinking, “I’m probably one of the first 100 people in the world to hear this song by my favorite artist, and nobody is even awake right now to join me in this beautiful moment!” It was serene and surreal, and something I’ll forever appreciate to end a very tough year. Most of my immediate family recently passed away, and Jack’s music helped me through it. He brings me so much joy in good times and bad, so while rational me is sure it was a line of code or a routine upload process or something basic like that, I’d like to believe it was someone from beyond sending me a special moment I needed.

I love my step-dad and my siblings but listening to Jack's music always brings back memories of when it was just me and my mom. Jack idk if you read these but your music changed me inside after I got out of the army. People tell me that we kinda sound alike but your voice and song writing is far better. But I have put everything I have into this and it seems like I may never get noticed and as things have gotten harder for me I find myself wondering if I will ever get to live with the same purpose as my dreams. Being homeless being hungry being cold none of that is as painful as watching my dreams slip away as I fight for my life to keep them. I don't really have any friends I guess that's why I'm here in my darkest moments reaching out to a stranger even it's just to hear me out and send good vibes. All I want to do is sing my songs about my experience and live. Even that seems too much to ask of the universe.
