On the number 8, I did away with the extensions I used on the other 7. The end of your spark plug socket has a 3/4 shoulder on it. I did mine with just the 5/8 spark plug socket and attached the 3/4 to the end of that and that’s it!
Thank you for that comment. That's what worked for me
So you're saying a 3/4" open end wrench on that shoulder? From top or bottom? Thanks
I do not know what the big deal is. I just changed mine. Less than half an hour. The 4 on driver side were no issue. The Passenger side I just used deep socket and swivel on all 4. The plug wires were no issue. First plug change on my 2010 Yukon with 130k.
I know your intent was meant well but trying to watch your video was like a 5 year old running around with the camera going. Also when I change my plugs and wires that one plug was accessed from under the vehicle. I drive a 2008 Yukon 5.3 Flex Fuel. I never run hi octane fuel unless I'm filling up with e85 and its never been an issue. I do put additives in occasionally for cleaning the system
Robert Vitorre I noticed this while I was outside looking at my Wife's truck, going under the passenger side seems to be a smarter way to go!!
Watching makes me feel like I'm about to toss.
Thanks Bro. my neighbor keeps yelling over saying take the tire off and I could tell it's not that serious lol
It's easier to go through the wheel well less likely to cross thread the sparkplug plus it helps if you have the right tools
Good video, but you had me laugh a bit at 3/8 x 1/4 it’s an adaptor from 3/8th to quarter
Good info but you need a camera man lol
Yeah.... you should redo this video except have a 2 or 3 yr old hold the camera. Would be 100x better.
dope!
Cool video
How did you know it wasn’t one of your coils?
nice job. I saw the 1/0 aftermarket power cable, is that for parallel batteries? If so, howd ya do it? thanks
I can make a video on that for you :) I will try to make it today and have it uploaded today :))
I have a 2015 Silverado bought brand new I usually run midgrade or premium … tried from the advice of friends to run Regular within the first 3 or 4 months that I bought it … the truck didn't like it ran shitty under load or mid to heavy throttle if your driving miss daisy it was ok …. So I went back to Midgrade in spring summer and fall and premium in winter because I live in Manitoba Canada …
I crawl under the passenger side door and I hand tightened it under the car by hand easier to access when car is cold very easy then once I get it hand tight I go to the hood tighten it with wrench
The only thing worse is the fight scenes from the Bourne movies
I thought i was watching scenes from Cloverfield!!
Xs power 1/0 cable, nice choice.
you saw that too
I put 93 Octane from Costco in my 2011 Avalanche and it now runs like crap. Never a problem like this before that one tank of 93.
How is that relevant to any of this?
I replaced the plugs & wires on my yukon last night/this morning. Almost slipped off the stool I was using nearly breaking my arm the way I was twisted under hoses & wires.I ended up getting my 3/8 (I think) socket to give the added torque needed for #8, be wise I don't have the 2 step-up you mentioned. It was almost 2 in the morning when I finally got done with all my 100K maintenance.
its such a pain in the ass
Shit I'm having trouble getting the dam wire cover off FML
SKOL
What size what the socket?
avalanche ,3/8 socket
I can't get the boot off no 8 mine is stuck my no way TO get leverage on.the boot ypu glossed over that
Get a pair of spark plug boot plyers from like a harbor freight but do not use anything that will crush the wires if you intend to save the wire for that cylinder.
sorry couldnt watch.... blair witch project film job
oops! thanks for the info. um ? a ? I won't say anything BAD
That into is f*cking obnoxious
6”3 🙊
1:35
One forth lol how bout quarter inch
I thought it was one force
Did you try changing it from under the vehicle? How about a "stubby" ratchet handle? Get someone to hold the camera. If your mom or grandmother was with you would you still use the profanity and F bomb?
Awful. I couldn't watch past about 3 minutes. It's like he's JUGGLING with the camera.
Bad camera work, needless cursing and I'd just love to hear the opinion on dielectric grease. I want my 8 minutes back.
Easy to understand why he still has under 1,000 subs
