Dom said it happened alot and he got warned and then it started to get tracked, and the tally after being tracked was 43, so its probably WAY more. In most jobs in the world youd be fired WAAAAAY before it gets to those numbers
@@ak3nodxd674 And you are credible? Also whenever he does leak stuff, it's been spot on. You can not like the guy but let's not say some bullshit like "least credible person" when that's been far from the truth.
Did you see the first minute of the video from caedrel? "what is the definition of late" counts here, there's absolutely a chance he was nickel-and-dimed here in order to get a contract reset. I can super easily see someone being 45 seconds to 1 minute late 43 times to daily meetings within the course of a year and nobody even thinking about firing them.
@@emilydegroot6436 does that matter if hes late a minute or ten if it happened on 46 different occasions? thats damn near 1/6 of the year that hes late any other job he wouldve already been fired. even in this benefit of the doubt scenario you put in him it doesnt paint him in much of a better light.
@@emilydegroot6436does it matter whether it's a second or an hour? With Jojo's contract, he probably earns so much more than the average, and with better support and benefits too. Given anybody else that same position, you would think they would at least try to show that they want to maintain it. Common courtesy dictates that you should at least be 10--15 minutes early to prepare.
@@lifelesslife2651 being late 52 times means bean late once a week through a year. If you count, as the leak counts, scrims, workouts and other events, then it suddenly very easy, as they can have 3 to 4 things a day. So what's the definition of late matters a lot. Because most office workers will be late much more often. Walking in three minutes late, or literally having a lunch break five minutes longer than average is not a weird thing. Shift jobs and public facing jobs are different of course, but office work? Nowdays? It could be ludicrous. Because it does not even consider whether he worked more out of hours. Through my working life plenty of people take longer lunch breaks then leave later. Some people don't take them to leave earlier... The fact that they added "workouts" is really what bugs me that there is something more here.
let's be real tho if I clocked in late 43 times, I would probably be in trouble too, and I'm only getting paid 18$ an hour so yeah even tho I don't know the full story, as someone who's very punctual and always arrive at least 15 minutes early, it's hard for me to feel sympathy for him, especially with the salary he's getting. He should be 100% invested, and 43 instances of being late doesn't sound like giving his 100%
@@neverwillno5583 Did he actually come out and say that the 43 tardiness was completely made up? If that is not the case, then that is not addressing it properly.
The thing about this is what was he late for? If he was late for say 5 minutes with scrim practice, that 5 minutes is more like 45 because of 9 other people having to wait for him minimum, not accounting for coaching staff. So just by being late a little bit is a way bigger deal than it actually seem.
Maybe they should make it more clear what he was late for? Instead of leaving people guessing? Like there’s no downside for saying he was late for scrims or training. Not mentioning it just sounds like he was late for lunch 43 times and they are just looking for an excuse to get rid of him.
@@clusterrockets I mean guys, C9 started counting it when it was 43 times, so before that they didnt even count because it was like "okay" to a certain point. So Jojo has actually been late to everything probably like 70+ times atleast, if not more. It doesnt matter if your late to washing your plants or starting scrims, if you have schedule you do everything on point of the schedule. This is like basic things everyone has learned when they were 8 years old but its not about you, its everyone around you that suffers from that, it also breaks the mentality of the team, "if this guy can come late to everything even if its just lunch, i also want my personal 15min break i can take to come late to everything", thisa ofc breaks the whole team if everyone does this. Simple, if you have a schedule, you hold on to it, if you are sometimes late for reasons its fine, 70+ times is not fine wtf xdd?
@@bachy4975 literally though LOL, i'm late once and i get an earfull from my boss even if its 2 minutes late. 2nd time I wouldn't even want to find out tbh but id prolly get canned
@@Bryanleefit and that's exactly the reason why there's no way that's the full story. If anyone in these comments is late to work when there is a specific arrival time, they would be warned the 2nd or 3rd time, and written up or fired in the subsequent times after... when you allow that level of negligence to go on a ludicrous amount of times (who gives a shit if its 20 or 43) and decide to not bring it up to the individual so that the issue can be identified or remedied in the interest of both parties, and you don't discipline the player in any way, then you have an ulterior motive in my opinion.
@@Bryanleefit Exactly and Jojo has no reason to be late that many times. These 9-5 works are a chore to most people but they pay bills so that's why we do it. He is living life of many because he is getting to do what he wants that is playing video game for a profession that he most likely loves to play and still being unprofessional about it.
100% has everything to do with not making Worlds, and them not wanting to pay his contract as a result. I will tell you one thing though, if I'm late to the same issue twice at my work I probably wouldn't have a job, let alone 43 different times that were tracked.
True it's likely they are looking for an excuse to get rid of him and his salary given his performance. But still he gave them every opportunity to be able to do it didn't perform well and then being late so many times.
@@pratikroy227 Idk how late he was, but Caedrel's reasoning is that practice to show up might have been 9:00 and he would show up at 9:01 and he would get written up for it just so they could get rid of him.
@@Whales1992 That's still being late tho ,you are making everyone wait ,not just 1 person and yes even 1 minute is still not something that you can ignore in a team environment ,if he was doing a job that doesnt require other people that's fine ,but punctuality is one of the most important things you can have at a job But maybe i am biased cuz i am always 15-20 minutes early on everything i do to make sure i dont arrive late
@@flameofthegame It's entirely subjective on what you're late for. If you're supposed to arrive at 8:00 and you arrive at 8:01 for practice, it's literally nothing at all, you don't even notice it. If he's consistently 15 minutes + late then yeah that's a different issue.
@@Whales1992 43 times AFTER they started tracking it, so it would be AT LEAST 50+. I seriously doubt out of these 50+ times he was late all of them were only 1-3 minutes late. At the end of the day Jojo was unprofessional and lost himself hundreds of thousands of dollars (maybe millions), if you're in his position you should be doing everything in your power to ensure there isn't anything they could use to terminate you.
Its actually more ,they started counting after he already was late pretty regularly and they counted 43 after that ,so its probably 50 or even more who knows . And even if they counted 1 minute being late etc ,its still unprofessional be be constantly late even by a little ,3 minutes here 2 minutes there ,it shows that you are not that serious about your job .
Him being late a little bit is also magnified. Given whatever he is late for, his teammates, the coaching staff, management and maybe even the other teams staff and players they're play/scrim against will also have to wait for him. So being 1 minutes late is more like 10 and so on.
@@bachy4975 Yeah that's my point ,i get it that LS and Caedrel are probably right that C9 wanted to rip the contract so they tried to give a reason ,but i still think they are in the right to do that since its a job .
The nuance of people saying "they just trying to ruleshark him to kick him off his contract" The fact they can come with with an "exact" number after verbally warned and its still 43 times is insane. If I was late 10 times "on the record" I would be sweating. and I sure as hell am not making the same amount of Jojo playing video games and have their living essentials provided for them.
Yes cadrel saying whats the definition of late sounded like it is ok to be like 1 minute late is insane. If your boss tell you to come before 9 you do that, there is not excuse here.
43 times is egregious. If you’re being paid THAT much, you can be 10 mins early to everything to insure they can’t call you out on that. And 43 times was after they started to document it due to being late so much.
Yea c9 probably wanted to get rid of his project. And they're absolutely in the right. If you don't perform and you're unprofessional on top of it you deserve to be kicked. Jojo is not a victim here.
it might sounds like a small thing to be counting and to use as justification, but what are the 'bigger' performance factors you want to judge him on? it's nice to mention some concrete, measurable factors, and the harder to explain factors, like: being late AND throwing your chances at worlds by playing bad
Giving more reasons for a termination hurts you. You say “his in-game performance was trash” you open yourself to a wrongful termination suit saying “it wasn’t because I was late, it was all performance based; and his performance wasn’t bad enough with a 10-1 in-season record and 2nd seed finish.”
@@WolfgangGaming-xq5rmthe reason they are willing to terminate his contract is because of performance. But it’s jojo fault for giving them a way to terminate the contract by being late. If C9 wanted to keep him they would.
I feel the Jojo stuff is eating a lot of the bandwidth rn, so I just wanna point out how crazy the scout situation is The malice in EDGs travel ban is insane. Literally spiting your own region because of your beef with someone who left your team. I dunno the full situation as to why he's being suedm but denying him worlds is just evil
I’m not gonna lie it is kinda scummy, but on the other hand if it was anyone other than scout they woulda been teamless because breaking contract by signing another one is very serious. Edg couldn’t stop him from playing lpl but I think if they could they would have because that guy shouldn’t even have a team if he can’t hold a contract. They know they can stop him from going to worlds so they will do that but I think we are also underestimating the context of how he got into Lng as well as what the lawsuit is, so it’s hard to have a good take on it but I can understand why edg would do this and I don’t think we should immediately paint them as a villain because of this decision
Actually from what I have just read on Bilibili, everyone is siding with EDG on this one. I have yet to read a comment on Scout's side. He is one of the most hated players in LPL if not the most hated for what he did to EDG and also for his toxic female fans. (Not all of his female fans are toxic but his toxic fans are female). There is even a special term given to them in LPL called "xmm" According to EDG, after winning worlds in s11 Scout told EDG that he wanted to go back to Korea for a while, during his stay he signed with KT while his contract with EDG still had one year left. Then EDG found out and offered him a higher salary and paid 20 million to get him out of the KT contract (20 million is not 100% true only some people said this). Then after s12 Scout did the same thing again telling EDG that he will play while looking for a top team in LCK. Scout wanted to play for t1 geng dk but no one wanted him. In the mean time EDG found out about him doing this again and there was very little time to sign players, Fofo told EDG that he will play for very little money and EDG signed him. Scout also went to HLE but HLE went with Zeka and Scout had no team. EDG waited for Scout, but he didn't return and signed for less money to LNG. It was not until July of 2023 that all of this broke out when Scout's brokerage company said that the reason he signed with LNG is because EDG gave him very little money. Since Scout has the most toxic fans in LPL, EDG and its players were getting flamed hard which is when EDG boss got mad and said to ppl in EDG that they can speak up about this. EDG non player people explained through streams what happened in the last 2 years and said they offered Scout 20.5 million which is the highest they can give due to regulations. After this Scout's toxic female fans flamed EDG even harder on Weibo. The most famous quote they said on Weibo being "If all of this is true, why not sue?" , so EDG then sued Scout after this. This quote is still being brought up to this day as their biggest accomplishment, getting EDG to sue their idol. It isn't really that Scout made EDG, but rather EDG made Scout. It was only after his fans began flaming them that EDG decided to sue. EDG has very good relations with its past players, except Scout. Flandre to the day he was signed with JDG lived rent free doing nothing in EDG's base. EDG told Flandre he can live there with them as long as he wanted. Other interesting things about Scout and his toxic female fans is that they are the reason he is known as Thief Saint in LPL because he has stolen so many MVP from his teammates most famously the FMVP from his jungler when winning s11. This is the only FMVP where the LPL audience didn't agree with. The castors are also afraid of giving his teammates mvp because they would then get flamed on social media and has to apologize. There are 3 saint (Rookie, Doinb, and Scout) and 1 emperor (Xiaohu) where his is the only derogatory one. Song Saint (Rookie), Jin Saint (Doinb), Thief Saint (Scout) Hu Emperor (Xiaohu). LNG even has to leave through backdoors to stadiums when they loose matches because players are afraid of getting attacked by Scout's fans. Is it legal and in EDG's right to retrain him from going to worlds? yes. I would argue it is not necessarily evil after what he and his fans had done to EDG. Most people I see rn are applauding what EDG is doing. Around 80% of this I can say for certain is true, some details may not be correct as there are so many videos on this I can't watch all of them.
You're not getting his point. Caedrel's saying that C9 might have been using jojo's tardiness as an excuse to fire him for poor performance. If Jojo played well, he could be late to every meeting and C9 would not fire him.
He is a child being praised by hundreds of thousands and clearly has a massively inflated ego. It's not an excuse, but it explains it somewhat. The people who still defend him is the real insane thing.
Honestly Jojo can easily be seen as NA Caps, issue is dude made an ego that he is the GOAT. Jojo needs to be humbled, but not demolished. Since the league community either calls someone a god and want to have their children, or subhuman filth for whom the death sentence isn't enough. Faker got 4 titles, 3 back to back and another years later when there wasn't that big of a gap between him and other midlaners, man is still just a guy who wants to be better. Caps is the only western miidlaner to be in post Korea Worlds finals, 2 times event. He is cheeky and playful, but still wants to be better. Jojo now feels like he accepted that he is the best midlaner from NA and is just riding that ego trip thinking it's enough to be the best. Jojo, you are the best midlaner in a minor region, sit down. You are an amazing player with so much talent, polish that instead of your ego schlong
Mate, if I was getting paid bucket loads for playing a video game, I wouldn't be taking the piss 🙄 but he's a young person, and younger people generally need more mentoring, guidance, coaching etc.
How are you supposed to get more of that if you're late? I get he had a "health" excuse because of his IBS, not sure if they were accommodating him having like mandatory breaks and stuff every so often, but IBS is not going to keep you from showing up to a job on time 43 times. Now keep in mind it's 43 times from when C9 started counting it as a pattern. Keep in mind that most other jobs start counting no matter what, even if it's not a pattern. You're late too many times (usually not even close to 40+ let alone half of that) you're gone.
Doesnt matter if there trying to catch him out, just because something starts at x time doesnt mean you turn up at that time, i turn up at least 10 minutes early to everything just so im prepared
People have pointed out the absurdity of the JoJo situation. Im sorry but i cannot feel for a young adult who gets paid more than 95% of the population, being late MORE than 43 times (those are the times AFTER C9 started counting). But i want to discuss how huge it can be, if League suddenly becomes more demanding for pcs in 2025. I know its long overdue, but League is as popular as it is because you can, literally, boot it up in a 20year old pc and play it (somewhat i guess ? i never tried it). Will be interesting to see how it will go, if they decide to do an overhaul and the minimum requirements skyrocket.
I dont think it would be drastic, they already got rid of win7-8 support, and since win10 was released in like 2014-15 I would assume that PC released in around that time would still be fine for league
@@musicaltarrasque Yeah that was my initial thought aswell. And i dont expect the requirements to actually skyrocket. But an engine swap and a graphics overhaul to the point of "League will change forever" as it was hyped up to be, just had me thinking. I bet they work on data though as you correctly pointed out. So i doubt they will leave out a significant portion of the playerbase.
The problem with Kiin is that he doesn't provide explosiveness to the team but only stability. Well majority of people will choose someone that is stable and consistent however team still need the explosiveness.
Yeah C9 could not want him anymore and don’t think he’s worth it. But at the same time jojo did give them a way out and I’m not going to fault C9 for capitalizing and saving money. Also jojo doesn’t have to be bought out in offseason if the contract is terminated.
it was more then 43 it was he was late alot so then they started keeping track. like im sorry this might be contract manipulation to not pay him again for another year but if your making hundreds of thousands of dollars to play a game and be a party of a tema then show up on time. if they were lie he was late 8 times then everyone would be like yeah he sleeps in sometimes it isent the end of the world but im assuming over 50 lates in a year is wiiiiild.
as much as sports and esports are hobbies for others, pros should remember that's a career so I understand why he got kicked out. I am always late if it's hangout with friends but never with work
Same thoughts on if they let it happen to use as a reason to fire if need be. Thats typically how companies operate with contracts they don't want to uphold.
I mean sure, but at the end of the day him being late isn't C9's responsibility. It's his. It's shitty that C9 was probably looking to get rid of him already, but he just handed them their golden ticket anyway. It's still a career/job you have to show up for, try showing up late 40+ times at your next job, see where it gets you.
@@lumivoid950 I get what you're saying but in a competitive league to just allow it to happen, even if it's affecting performances, is insane. It is not their responsibility to give their players the best environment and motivate them to win? I am in no way condemning what cloud 9 did from a business/company standpoint, but as a team in a league I definitely am. I have fired people before for being consistently late to shifts, giving people chances, talked to them, or not talked to them but still fired. Depending on the state as well you can be fired for just about any reason. They basically let jojo eat a free years worth of a paycheck while also not making it to worlds just so they could fire him over being late and not have to pay the rest of his contract?
I’m a jungle main, I love the idea of having a ping system that helps me when I’m trying to dodge mechanics and the last thing I can do is ping mid fight
ah yes a new ping that would be ignored by everyone, the truth is, most laners see junglers being invaded, they just prioritize thier own lanes, dont want to leave minions in a bad spot, dont want to miss a reset window etc.
if they actually got rid of the whole client/game seperation and made it one seemless program and updated the engine its basically a new game and they dont have to worry about the whole spaghetti code bs they deal with every update.
Id like to know the escalation of consequences here. Like did they sit down and talk with him after a couple times, did they give any warnings? if not then this is 1000% a contract thing. Being late isn't ok, but if its by like a minute or something then I doubt they would really care, or if they did care and it was holding them up then they would call him out for it. They would have given him punishments before just cutting his contract.
Firing a guy who is late 43 times is nothing to do with getting him out his contract. He was just late 43 times, try that at any job you will be fired btw. He plays bad, underpeforms, tilts beserker, late 43 times. 100% deserved dropping. Xmithie would party the day before games and play on minimum sleep, never caring. But he played well so it was allowed.
Exactly it's likely they are looking for an excuse to get rid of him and his salary given his poor performance. But still he gave them every opportunity to be able to do it, didn't perform well and then being late so many times.
Hate Caedrel's thinking of Jojo. I'm a C9 fan, does not anyone remember last spplit berserker almost wrecking his hand punching a door cause of some player? We now know who that is.
I remember Berserker being a bottom 2 ADC in Spring is what I remember. He was 7th to 9th in nearly every measurable statistic for ADCs in Spring, while Jojo was top 1-3 for mids. If anyone had the right to be mad about Spring, it was Jojo, because Berserker was one of hte main reasons they didnt go to MSI. He was flat out horrible. People keep glossing over just how bad Berserker was in Spring.
Berserker having a baby rage moment isn't suddenly justified because JoJo is lazy. Almost breaking your hand in a rage is cringe it's not some kind of respectable moment. Yeah Jojo is coasting off past success and phoning it in but berserker is not performing any better so why is he throwing a fit.
i mean, still 43 times late even if its like 5 mins thats still shit work ethic if you want to be the best of the best If you are a sports competitor trying to be the best player you can be while being the HIGHEST PAID PLAYER IN THE CONTINENT you should be on time if not early
1:46 it might be that he was late for scrims and stuff and that can have big issues right for so many players and staff so i can see if he was like 5+ min late for scrims that it might matter a lot we have to see how it plays out tho 4:50 like EU at least makes top 8 xD
Show up late to anything 43 times Whether it’s a minute or 10….. and see how long you last 😭😭 This has nothing to do with corporation, this is being held to the highest standard
People need understand that getting lazy after making to a top team. It's up to management or the team leader to put him in his place. I remember kobe got in a fight Howard over him being lazy. He was let go soon after that.
It's not managements responsibility to wake you up, get you showered, make your breakfast, walk you out of your house, into a car/bus/train and hold your hand all the way to your job to make sure you're there on time. 40+ times late. If management hasn't said anything to you while you're building up those 40+ late times then sure, but there is no way in hell there was not a single person who hadn't said something to him in 40+ instances of being late.
It's one thing to be late 43 times and still be #1. Then no one cares. But when someone is late 43 times and you don't make worlds when being the projected #1 seed, people question if Jo had put in a little more work or showed a little more dedication to earn his #1 contract they wouldn't be in this situation. Shame on him for pissing away that contract. He'll never get another one like it.
I still wonder how late are we talking here, Caedrel is right. I know a lot of Caedrel fans hate T1 sorry to bring them up but T1 has similar situation with lateness. Players used to be late without any consequences so they make a rule that players have to pay up a penalty (which is 100k won, around 75$) per late and they will use that to eat fancy meal together after collecting it for awhile (cmiiw it was monthly). Faker and Zeus are the highest contribution to that and afaik their lateness was max 5 minutes. This is why I feel like Caedrel is right about other bigger reason of firing Jojo but they just need credible thing to grab onto
EDG will have to lift the travel ban , otherwise god knows what the crazy chinese fans would do to EDG's owner. NOT only that , its most likely in their best interest if they didn't want to lose any partnership with Tencent or the chinese league circuit as a whole. The entire LPL staff will have a bad impression of that org if they pursue this lawsuit in midst of worlds.
a while back i was debating with my friends on league and dota graphics. playing league you think the graphics arnt that bad. so we all looked at worlds for both. first ever to new. dota has improved, and begun better league has barely changed graphically and started lower league is REALLY overdue graphic overhaul. and not a small one.
Crazy, you mean that if you don’t contribute value ppl will try to find ways to get rid of you? What a novel revelation… Also why say 2-3 minutes. What if it was an hour late 43 times?
yes 750k I've been saying it for years there's no money in league for NA bunch of delulu people think there is but if there was we'd have better coaching staff we'd have more teams you'd know the names of more then 20 players there would be advertisement online featuring those players oh and most importantly of all there'd be a reason for future talent to actually grind up to that point cause you can't live for free and put in the work you need too to play at that level. You make 0 dollars and o cents until a team picks you up or until you realize you can make more money boosting accounts and it's less stressful.
Ik the average Andy making 32k a year is saying they'd be fired... Now imagine knowing you pay this mf almost a mill for the year, I'd want that dude gone too. He doesn't soloq, he doesn't stream, and he's late all the time? I'd want him gone, too.
Not only did Jojo tilt Berserker by inting scrims, he and Blaber didn't really have synergy. I'm sure they both said if they re-sign they want to play with another midlaner and Jack just found the easiest way outta the contract. We all know this isn't really about him being late. Though, that obviously didn't help.
I don't see why it's controversial that C9 wants to get out of the Jojo contract. "They just don't want to pay him because he doesn't take practice seriously and also doesn't perform on stage." Uhh... yeah? Obviously? I'm betting Jack would be happy to keeping paying him tons of money if he were actually the best mid in NA and winning them championship after championship. His performance doesn't deserve the highest salary in the league.
The termination of contract is just a way for C9 to get rid of a player they don’t want anymore without paying him more money. He would probably get sold in the offseason no matter what. Unless C9 is lying they aren’t doing anything wrong
idc if its an excuse to terminate, 43 times late is kinda bullshit and as someone who has done smaller esports team play, its so detrimental when people are late to scrims. makes no other high end teams ever want to scrim you cuz its just a frustrating waste of time and resources.
If I was late to my Job to 5 times without a valid excuse, I would either be written up or fired and I don't get paid thousands like jojo, so its understandable, but why the fuck did they let keep going for more than 10 times, the management needs some blame too, cause no way after 10 times you let this shit keep going on, much less 43+ times after you started tracking it.
We assume C9 already wanted to let him go. However, it's not managements responsibility to make sure you show up on time. Letting it go on so long was probably due to not being able to find a replacement in a timely manor. Not saying that excuses it, but it's also an esport that was in the middle of a season where they needed 5 players to show up to events not run by them. Also there is no way there wasn't a single person (coach, management, teammates, etc) out of all the ones he had to work with that didn't say something about him being late. If you're showing up late 40+ times to your workplace there is 100% SOMEONE who's said something to you about it.
Being late 43 times *after* being warned about it by your boss would be grounds for firing in any job, but we all know this only happened because of C9's performance and failure to make Worlds. No shot he loses his job even with all the behavioral issues if C9 had won the split and was going as NA's 1st seed.
Yeah i mean for sure if you are a great performer at your job then you will be given some leeway. But if your performance isn’t anything special and on top of that, you’re also being unprofessional, then there’s really no point of keeping you in that organization
Homie I clock in 9-6 everyday, and I have been late 3 times in 2 years. Straight up, if you are late 1-3 times in 6 months folks get fired. Don't protect clown behavior
If you can count to 43 can it really be catching out small things? Guy was late like every 4-5 days. You dont go to work on minute punctual timers. Youd think after 42 times he would go a bit earlier
Ultimately, we don't have the full picture, and I don't think it's fair to Jojo to assume he's a shitty teammate without more info. There's been rumors about how Jojo might have medical reasons for being late, and its very possible that Caedrel is right that C9 is just trying to get out of paying Jojo.
The rumors jojo medical reasons is kind of irrelevant. It doesn't prevent him from playing but only for being late? If he has a condition where it take him an hour to get out of bed in the morning, then is on him to wake up an hour earlier then normal to be on time. It's not the team responsibility to work around his terrible time management that make him late 40+ times.
bro you can literally watch the video that C9 themselves put out where his teammates flame him for being a shitty teammate. Berserker was so upset that Jojo didn't take the scrims or the losses seriously that he punched a door. I mean if they're willing to publish that publicly it's not too much of a stretch to imagine how much worse it was behind the scenes.
I do think it's more than meets the eye, cause recently actually too(like a couple weeks ago), on the Cloud 9 Cod roster, they dropped someone for the exact same reason, after he got dropped he also had a rant to the community saying how c9 had him basically working a 9-9 shift including team workouts and meetings and scrims and everything else. Which it does seem to raise the question if cloud 9 as an organization are doing too much and effectively putting too many kinds of work for the players to be able to recover. I gotta imagine especially gamers, especially gamers who aren't use to this kind of routine and schedule, will have a tough time adjusting, especially at the beginning of the split, and that can even snowball to a bad performance all split/year. It is also interesting if you looked at the cod c9 team this last year, they basically did the team workout schedule 9-9 for the first half of the year and they were in very poor form based on how their team on paper should perform, losing to team a lot below their level, and then once they stopped that schedule they ended up winning a major and finishing finals of champs, their performance completely reflected the decision to switch. The other thing is, if C9 is doing so many things a day, even if you're a minute or 2 late, you could probably get like 5 tardies a day if you just struggle to switch tasks quickly and get there on time, over the course of a year could build quickly. Though I do support the decision to drop him based off performance, I do think this topic isn't so cut and dry and should actually be explored more if cloud 9's "systems" are working against them again.
Bro you read the inspired tweet where he clearly says jojo is hard working despite being late/missing things, then you say jojo doesn't work hard/is lazy xdd too much reddit/twitch chat
Doesn't matter if he was late a lot. If JoJo was running the LCS no one would care. Jojo is the highest paid player in the LCS. Jojo has been playing poorly the entire 4 years in LCS. His only winning season was with EG. That team had Danny, Vulcan, Inspired, and Impact. Vulcan, Inspired, and Impact are on the top 2 teams in the LCS. Danny was an absolute beast. Jojo carried maybe 3 games the whole season. The fact that C9 did not try/couldn't sell or trade Jojo says it all. Jojo is done professionally.
Dom said it happened alot and he got warned and then it started to get tracked, and the tally after being tracked was 43, so its probably WAY more. In most jobs in the world youd be fired WAAAAAY before it gets to those numbers

I have a hard time feeling bad for Jojo for the sheer reason that if I did anything similiar even half the amount of time, I wouldn't have a job
@emilydegroot6436 my entire work team got a warning for being less than a minute late
He should be 100% invested, and 43 instances of being late doesn't sound like giving his 100%
he adressed this though. its not the lateness. it's how well he played.

But maybe i am biased cuz i am always 15-20 minutes early on everything i do to make sure i dont arrive late

I mean even if he is just late 1 Mintue every time, dude lives in a house with them, he literally has to walk down stairs to not be late
I feel the Jojo stuff is eating a lot of the bandwidth rn, so I just wanna point out how crazy the scout situation is
The malice in EDGs travel ban is insane.
There is even a special term given to them in LPL called "xmm"
According to EDG, after winning worlds in s11 Scout told EDG that he wanted to go back to Korea for a while, during his stay he signed with KT while his contract with EDG still had one year left.

Getting paid hundreds of thousands of dollars a year to play a video game and you can't even show up on time, just think how insane that is.
He is a child being praised by hundreds of thousands and clearly has a massively inflated ego. It's not an excuse, but it explains it somewhat. The people who still defend him is the real insane thing.
I thought caedral was going to recommend himself for lng mid lane HAHAHA.. the way he was explaining the 'player'....
I hope LNG uses the same "emergency sub" loophole that Fnatic and EG used and brings in someone like Rookie to be their sub lol.
You are an amazing player with so much talent, polish that instead of your ego schlong
in other words, c9 got salty that they didn't get to worlds and jojo being late pushed their anger management button xD

They have the player data on the average pc specs.
They will be sure to keep minimum new specs within the range of most of their users

19:14 nah but who is "poopoo laser"
It’s not that his contract is too expensive, it’s that he didn’t bring the value of it to the team. 1000% he’d still be on c9 if they won the league
I’m just hoping there’s another source to verify dom’s reports. I really wouldn’t want him to get egg on his face for this.
I know jojo is not the easiest person to work with but I have no idea if he is dificult to work with, I have no info on that.
a while back i was debating with my friends on league and dota graphics. playing league you think the graphics arnt that bad.
so we all looked at worlds for both. first ever to new.
dota has improved, and begun better
league has barely changed graphically and started lower
league is REALLY overdue graphic overhaul. and not a small one.
Crazy, you mean that if you don’t contribute value ppl will try to find ways to get rid of you? What a novel revelation…
Also why say 2-3 minutes. What if it was an hour late 43 times?
Wild Rift would be infinitely more popular if they gave it the same ranked system as PC
for normal job/profession...most probably u are fired after 5-10 times late without valid reason
This is what I expected Jojo would do. His ego is too high since EG days lmao
L take. bro if you late on any job in the king world 43 times, you deserved to get fired ASAP.
yes 750k I've been saying it for years there's no money in league for NA bunch of delulu people think there is but if there was we'd have better coaching staff we'd have more teams you'd know the names of more then 20 players there would be advertisement online featuring those players oh and most importantly of all there'd be a reason for future talent to actually grind up to that point cause you can't live for free and put in the work you need too to play at that level. You make 0 dollars and o cents until a team picks you up or until you realize you can make more money boosting accounts and it's less stressful.
they started siphoning money because of franchising. shame on riot
Ik the average Andy making 32k a year is saying they'd be fired... Now imagine knowing you pay this mf almost a mill for the year, I'd want that dude gone too. He doesn't soloq, he doesn't stream, and he's late all the time? I'd want him gone, too.
I get fired if I show up late at work. He was late 40+ times in a year. Probably considerably more often. Makes sense tbh.
Tardiness. That's what they call when the Human Resources Dept. sent you a memo for always being late.
If they increase pc requirements they will kill league. League is popular worldwide because it can be played by anyone anywhere.
idc if its an excuse to terminate, 43 times late is kinda bullshit and as someone who has done smaller esports team play, its so detrimental when people are late to scrims. makes no other high end teams ever want to scrim you cuz its just a frustrating waste of time and resources.
This is the dumbest way to get fired wtf
C9 just wants to save their money and move it. With all the lateness, at some point shouldn't the manager or team figure out why he is late?
Being late 43 times *after* being warned about it by your boss would be grounds for firing in any job, but we all know this only happened because of C9's performance and failure to make Worlds. No shot he loses his job even with all the behavioral issues if C9 had won the split and was going as NA's 1st seed.
Yeah i mean for sure if you are a great performer at your job then you will be given some leeway. But if your performance isn’t anything special and on top of that, you’re also being unprofessional, then there’s really no point of keeping you in that organization
Precisely
Homie I clock in 9-6 everyday, and I have been late 3 times in 2 years. Straight up, if you are late 1-3 times in 6 months folks get fired. Don't protect clown behavior
If you can count to 43 can it really be catching out small things? Guy was late like every 4-5 days. You dont go to work on minute punctual timers. Youd think after 42 times he would go a bit earlier
Baus said it. League is best video game ever created. Baussi
i think most people would be fired for being late 10 times
late 43 times nah. It's because they MISSED WORLDS. If they qualifed for worlds he would have been fine.
Ultimately, we don't have the full picture, and I don't think it's fair to Jojo to assume he's a shitty teammate without more info. There's been rumors about how Jojo might have medical reasons for being late, and its very possible that Caedrel is right that C9 is just trying to get out of paying Jojo.
i mean, looking at dudes play it's eveident... he needed to be removed.
@@bachy4975EG completely dissolved as an organization because they refused to accommodate one of their players
bro you can literally watch the video that C9 themselves put out where his teammates flame him for being a shitty teammate.
Man it's a good thing they didn't make it to worlds, they would have been out their best midlaner!
(obviously he was fired because they lost)
Bro you read the inspired tweet where he clearly says jojo is hard working despite being late/missing things, then you say jojo doesn't work hard/is lazy xdd too much reddit/twitch chat
Actual NPCs in the comments. All bow to your overlords. Yeah.
you guys are gonna be gutted when you see the change 😂
Bro said Viper's non-adc champs were bad in 2019, nope
Imagine being fired from a E-Sports team cause you were late to team workouts 😂 C9 🤡🤡🤡
Kicked out from a western team of lateless wow
If you think jojo has been playing poorly for 4 years then you are incredibly stupid and your opinion doesn't matter
