Looks like a piece of the water pump jammed between the cylinder wall and the block. I only say this because of the Dent on the OUTSIDE of the "sleeve."
Could be. 🤷♂️ My thinking was maybe it hydrolocked and water pressure forced the aluminum to crack out inside the jacket? Can say this is the only engine I have personally worked on in 30 years with a cracked cylinder.
