you are setting up for a street/strip truck. Id start out with exhaust cut outs where you can swap from open headers and also go on out the back with a true dual system out the rear like it is
I don’t know about everybody else, but I usually hold my torch on each bolt for at least a minute or two. Yes, it might be expensive in torch gas but it’s worth it
Run the dual xpipe speed engineering sells with dual mufflers been wanting to see how it sounds I have the 1 7/8 headers and xpipe on my truck with true duals out the back with 5 inch slants. It’s got a stage 3 btr cam with cai and a 2800 stall dynoed 335 on 37s on a 8.5 lift so I lowered it back down to 3.5 she’s pretty quick
you mentioned you soaked the screws for a week.. did you drive the truck at all while soaking? and do you think if I soak the stress over night I would be fine?
I say just stay with the y-pipe for now and run 3 in from the y-pipe back with either the magnaflow bullet part# 14419 or the corsa pro series mufflers either the packed resonators or the tuned muffler. Can’t go wrong with either of the 3 and maybe a nice dual corsa style exhaust tip behind the tire or in front would look sweet!!
For future reference on the driver side you can pull that little steering shaft so you don’t have to pull the front drive shaft. It’s a lot quicker and easier
@@chuckplainview4085 nope look up the Escalade v exhaust diagram a loop on the passenger side exhaust with a xpipe and mufflers to tips out the back it’s super easy with no looping around stuff
Those hardly look rusty. Mine have 280K and several broken heads. BTW if you get the glowing red it works better. Hot enough to sizzle spit is just enough to break down the thread locker. Need to replace mine, but knowing I have at least 4 bolts I'm going to need to weld heads on has pretty much kept me from that....
Super informative video... but for the love of god, PLEASE stop calling bolts 'studs' lol Also, I think an equal length (Karnage DD Equalizer loop) w/x-pipe merge would sound the best. I plan to do this eventually with my 6.2L Denali and a set of Spintech 6000 series mufflers
Nice find. Poor guy who lost the ratchet though those ain’t cheap😂
I think a y pipe to a 3” single would sound good and leave room for possible *cough cough boost* options later on down the road
It don’t take much to make those trucks run 12’s man. All you need now is a cam, stall, a custom tune and remove a little weight.
Yes, it’s very easy to make trucks go 12s. All you need to do is Coyote swap them.
@@eriktinaj8741 lol you do have a valid point, I love coyotes…however, 5.3’s were running good numbers way before the coyotes were out.🤷🏻♂️
Ford suck
@@Gladiatorguy1998 define good?
My f-150 was running 12s with just a tune
Go with the x pipe and true duals like the setup on chomper.
Y Pipe and true duals don’t go together
True duals don't have any cross pipe. Bank 1 and Bank 2 exhaust pipes are separate
@@alexanderc9058 you can put a x pipe on true duals. I have it on mine
The Old Man Jimcee be looking tight watching Shorty's six. You have a bad ass crew of trucks going on there. Loving the work you put into these toys!
I’ve always wanted a single cab Sierra but I ended up buying an extended cab and now I wanna slam it with some boost. Amazing looking trucks man
Always love when i get a notification from the channel!
You need to do corvette style exhaust coming out the back under license plate
Yes
You need to keep this truck for your son. Be a great first truck for him!
lol made them “top notch” mechanics look bad by not breaking any of them studs off in that head good stuff 👍🏽
You gotta do just header one time for a comparison
keep up the awsome work
You can’t beat the bang for the buck with these 5.3 silverados
I need to do headers. Already have a BTR stage 1 cam. Headers and a 93 tune would really wake it up.
you are setting up for a street/strip truck. Id start out with exhaust cut outs where you can swap from open headers and also go on out the back with a true dual system out the rear like it is
looks good and sound pretty mean open header!
My 07 Tahoe z71 at 227k and she has all her studs/nuts😌none broken/snapped idk how but it’s a miracle 🙏🏾
Grille guard on the yukon?
Hell yah can’t wait to do my Sierra the tips are great -- keep making videos
Get the x pipe kit made for those headers. Then have a shop make a custom exhaust after that
I plan to put a set of speed engineering 1 7/8th headers on my 2010 gmc Sierra
I don’t know about everybody else, but I usually hold my torch on each bolt for at least a minute or two. Yes, it might be expensive in torch gas but it’s worth it

Double x pipe and black widow race mufflers, would sound money.
How long did you wait after heating the stud, before you start wrenching?
Loving the videos man. I got short tubes on my Ram and love them can’t ever go wrong with headers
Oh yeah! Loving this build 😎
Score on the ratchet! That's dope 😂
you mentioned you soaked the screws for a week.. did you drive the truck at all while soaking? and do you think if I soak the stress over night I would be fine?
True dual with Flowmasters with no cats and a X pipe with turn downs would be really nice on that truck
Do a catless exhaust with a muffler and also have electric cutouts on it
Drag truck in the making
Do you connect all four o2 sensors if you where cause my headers only came with 2 spots to screw them in and don’t know where the other 2 go
Boom tube exhaust or equal length exhaust
Any lights on dash from o2's
Bro you braver than me I definitely ain't lighting a torn anywhere near a gas engine 😂
Bro I love how you are slowly getting into the dropped truck scene #suelomob
Love the content man, keep at it🤘
I’m running tru dual to xpipe dumped but you ca always start with ypipe to maybe a corsa 3inch
For future reference on the driver side you can pull that little steering shaft so you don’t have to pull the front drive shaft. It’s a lot quicker and easier
Do an equal length setup. Isn't the easiest to do but it's worth the effort
Actually very easy using the same method the Escalade v uses
@@thecrow1727oh really? Last time I looked into it you had to order pontiac g8 x pipe setup and do loops around stuff

The socket wrench was funny
Great video I recomend (Soler Preformance) throttle body. Based in Alabama
It looks awesome.
Corsa sport trust me on this one it will sound nasty with a dual tip also
Extremely similar If not the same for the older years of 5.3s
how did it fit around the front diff mount?
What is the part number for the head gaskets?
Can you put a Denali grill on shorty please, and a single turbo would be crazy
On my suburban with a stage 1 cam on the 5.3 I would do long tubes, to a y pipe 3 inch to a flow master super 40 out the passenger side.
BIG OLE LOUDY BOIS
Get a ctsv x pipe and run equal lengths……it will give it a vette sound
4wd too much work
true duals with black widow neighbor hater mufflers
It’s a RATCHET!!!
True duals all the way
What you want for them stock rims over there on the wall over there
Stay with the Y pipe with single exit exhaust!!
Do you have a link for those headers?
Could you post the link to purchase them?
Love the vids keep up the good work
Dang finding that ratchet it like finding 100$ bill on the ground lol
True duals with 5in tips
Do a equal length exhaust on it with x pipe you won’t regret it
I have a FBO SCRB f-150 5.0 10speed if you ever wanna compare it
Cherry Bomb with true duals

My boi when you use a torch it obviously creates heat, when metal heats up it expands therefore making it “looser”
Soundin’ sweeeet
Lower tail light/brake light out on the driver side
it needs a spintech 6000 muffler
Truck Norris cam and wet shot of nitrous
Try some spin tech mufflers
Y pipe to quad exit u see the plate like a corvette
I need that factory y pipe 😂
👍
X pipe true dual equal length! PLEASE 😂
Next thing it needs is some 243 heads

Instead of using a torch couldn’t you just let the truck run for the heat? Asking because I’m doing this to mine next week
do an X pipe and carven R exhaust !
Clap city😂
True dualls
I would go true duals!!!!!
True duals please!!!
Do 3in cut outs
Still waiting for you to put shortys on Larry
How the hell did that ratchet stay there 😂
Need to take the 4x4 stickers off.
Try a H pipe true dual🤔
Please buy back baby squad

Buy baby squat back please!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You didn’t show how to put them in.
Ok so you got a good ratchet now please get a tool cart or something that busted up plastic is painful to see😂
Put a corsa muffler not a bullet
I vote y pipe
Side exit
Just go ahead and x pipe it, sounds better
