Next time if you go out and your hubs aren't engaging, it's because the gasket behind the locking hubs went out allowing water in. This causes a thin layer of surface rust preventing the hubs from engaging. Taking them off and cleaning everything then putting them back on, it's easy. Maybe an hour for both sides, not counting if there's water in the differential though. Waiting for the new seals to fully cure takes longer than anything 🫣
Greetings from Pontassieve, province of Florence, Italy. I have a Suzuki Jimmy 4x4 with a 1.3 LT m13a gasoline engine from 2001, all original, which I use to go to the countryside, the forest and the mountains on agricultural and forest roads used by lumberyards.
Nice looking rig. I presume you added the YJ SPOA suspension kit for Rocky Road? What did you use for springs (any extra arch)? I know the Rocky Road kit doesn't come with missing link shackles ( I am looking at the Rocky Road SPUA YJ suspension kit. I was kind surprised there didn't seem to be as much articulation in your suspension as I would have expected and the springs seemed pretty rigid. What shocks did you go with under the Samurai? Looks like a pretty capable rig!
Yes, Rocky Road Outfitters SPOA YJ kit with stock YJ springs. Doetsch shocks came with the kit. This video was the first off road ride, not sure on the articulation yet, still working out things but really happy so far.
