I'm 59 years old and had to recently retire because of health reasons. I bought a double wide manufactured home 3 yrs ago and my lot rent was $780 , Now it's $1139! For a tiny little lot! So I know what you mean about your parents. I'm in SW Florida. These homes are selling for outrageous amounts now, so my plan is to fix mine up a bit, sell it , then take that money and buy one of your homes. I'm excited about this area of SC because I love The Forest and The Mountain areas of your place in TN. God bless 🙏.

I noticed two, 1 + mill dollar homes listed now in close proximity... one just 2 miles to downtown... they have really pushed the grants there for small business owners... and given out about 175K since 2019... im pretty impressed... their short and long term revitalization plan is really aggressive... I have looked at three commercial properties there already, online.. while researching all the work their doing there... this spot is nice enough to ride a bike into town... that has to be stunning when all grown in... with the water features.... I really really like this one...

The most recent update is at least 5 years plus monthly lot rent of $700+. Even with Randy's $10,000 initial buy-in, his monthly lot rent will be 200+. The math/time frame doesn't support me waiting for Tiny Tranquility, as cute as it is.

I was initially interested in the Traveller's Rest area because someone put in a small tiny home community and looking at the map I saw the Swamp Rabbit Trail that runs through Traveller's Rest to Greenville. That area is a little higher in elevation, so not as hot in summer. I will have to learn more about Abbeville, but they do have a nice downtown and you mentioned a new grocery store coming to the area. It looks very nice

It should look beautiful there with the rolling hills and trees. You may want to check out their flood zones with those creeks to see how big they get in the rainy seasons, before planning house lots near the creek. An affordable community in such a lovely place almost sounds too good to be true. (Especially if it is walking or biking distance to downtown too.)

🌳🌳🌳Beautiful property close to town, mature hardwood trees and a creek running through it. Its a new wooded park & creek future Tiny Home Village exactly 140 from the original Newport Tiny Town. Sending a million positive creative thoughts on this pending development. 🌳🌳🌳 👍👍😊

Randy & Amanda are the local banks in Abbeville willing to loan on tiny homes? This looks great.
    Amanda, glad to you back.

There really are not any banks that loan specifically for a tiny house... as the property can be moved...... generally it will be an equity line or a personal loan... there are a few small specialized lenders now offering higher rate loans for tiny houses.... sometimes you can also go after an RV loan when they are specifically certified as one...

This community reminds me of growing up. Businesses were closed on Sundays, neighbors knew neighbors and there was pride. Love this so much. Glad to see Amanda back as well. This is ITH’s season of growth and prosperity

Like you, I grew up when no stores were open on Sunday’s and I miss that. And, I miss neighbors knowing each other and helping each other when feasible. Those weren’t the good old days..

Actually he's not. This community development will take time and it will have a new/other excavation/construction crew than the two that are already at the mountain & the grove. Buffalo Creek will be after The Grove is finished. The communities are seperate and none take away from any of the others.

I am currently homeless in Las Vegas, NV, but I have an idea to build a low income tiny home community of Boxabl Casitas powered by a solar & wind power plant for veterans and seniors. However, I have no money or other resources to even begin putting together such a project. More power to you guys for getting it done!

I am 73 years old. Trying to figure out where I can live independently within my means. Currently working full time to pay prior medical bills and living with my son and daughter in law in MD. Just moved in with them in August and know that I need to have my own place like I have had all my life. I am very independent and currently working and in good health. This seems like something I can afford with my pension. And still working for the next few years. I plan to drive down in the next week or 2 and check out Abbeville. Randy I hear the excitement in your voice and I have the same excitement. Hopefully this would be some place I could move within the next year or two. I'm not sure how long it would take for you to get some land cleared and homes. I will keep watching and waiting.

He is going to clear as little of the trees as possible, mainly only for narrow winding roads. In my opinion this would be wonderful as a 3 or more phases/sections tiny home community.

There is a Senior Center next door to this property with lunches 5 days a week! They also are a Meals On Wheels Delivery Location. The Medical Center is right around the corner in close walking distance of .20 or 1/5 miles. The Senior Center also does provide a little transportation at times... Stay Tuned... more to come... 👍👍😊

A few places made with without trees or mostly grass would accomade those who don't won't to deal with leaves maybe to the front, side, or anywhere. Just a thought.
