My grandparents were as PA Dutch. As they got older and their health declined they could always hold a cast iron pot of potatoes, but had a hard time holding a telephone. I miss them! Love these videos!

This video was suggested to me because of the keto diet I've been researching. I just bought cabbage today, planned on making steaks and soup out of them.
You are the kind of good cook who can cook other dishes from other cultures like mine. I bet you can make good beans, black eyed peas, and greens, can't you?
Americans really do rise to the occasion, we can do anything.
And sister, let's pray for our nation.
It seems that I stopped by to encourage a nice lady whose video of her clean, nutritious food, which looks delicious, is appreciated.
    Ladybug, you are appreciated.
    Thank you kindly.

I want to really thank you for your kind words, support and prayer. Yes, I appreciate all cultures and enjoy learning to cook with them. Food culture teaches us so much about others, and gives us new ways of seeing things. I love it. Yes, I do make some great beans, black eyed peas and greens! I wholeheartedly agree in joining you in praying for our nation. Blessing to you!

Neighborhood meat market butcher said to put kielbasa on a foiled pizza pan and into the oven for 20 minutes then flip for a few extra minutes and do not poke them. They taste just like the wonderful sausage you get at a Polish wedding. I used sharp cheese on this cabbage recipe and it was really good. This gal can cook.

I'll be looking for it. BTW, it turned out great. Only change is I only put cheese on half the steaks because I wanted to compare cheese ones to just buttered and spiced ones, and the non-cheese ones were just as delicious. Tender, buttery with just a hint of smokiness from the Paprika. I was so full last night. 🧡

I made 'Cabbage Steaks' last week, and my Hubby who is not a fan of Cabbage - Loved them! I think you could add more cheese and bread crumbs and layer this in a casserole dish like a stuffed artichoke - or - top with sauce and pepperoni like pizza. This was so easy and a hit at our house. Thank YOU!

This makes the second video I have seen of cabbage steaks. I have never heard of this before about a week ago. But looks very good.... I do like to make baked cauliflower. Just same way as cabbage you got there. Except you cut cauliflower into florets and put into bag with little bit of oil and season all. Shake and pour on to cookie sheet. Same way around 400 for 30 mins. Very tasty

Is the pan tuff to clean after the cheese burns on? Maybe a little oil on the pan first? Parchment paper maybe?
Can’t wait to try this one. My wife and I both like anything “ cabbage “. The sausage looks good too, doing the sausage in the oven keeps everything simple. Plus it gives you some time to do some clean up and maybe a cocktail. Winner- Winner, cabbage for dinner!

Yes, I do. You'd be using this one. Dumplings are filled or big and fluffy here; pasta is noodles. These are what you make with the short ribs here. Enjoy! ruclips.net/video/OAW8DnM_M5M/видео.html

You could put also the Kielbasa in to the pan with the cabbage steaks before going in to the oven so the cabbage wold pick up some sausage drippings...

Just love your videos. My husband is Pa Dutch. He's family cooked way different then me . I am German and cajun . I lived 13 years in Germany they cook and name things so different then Pa Dutch. I would rather get ideas from you then my husband. He is from Halifax. I'm going to ask a question as if you will read this lol. Do you have a good recipe for Straberry rhubarb pie ?

I'm sorry I'm just seeing this. YT comments doesn't always show up the way they should. You're not far from me being down in Halifax! So, here you go.
      Strawberry Rhubarb Pie
      1 beaten egg
      1 cup of sugar
      1 teaspoon vanilla
      2 cups rhubarb
      2 tablespoons of flour
      dash salt
      ½ cup fresh strawberries
Mix all of the above ingredients in a large bowl until mixture is well blended and pour into an unbaked pie shell.
Put on a top crust and flute and crimp the edges.
Make some slits in the crust so that heat can escape.
Bake pie for 10 minutes at 400, then at 350 for 30 minutes. Filling will be bubbling and hot inside. You might have to adjust bake time to how golden you like your crust.
