So, I was just thinking...Jacob recorded this about 8 years ago when he was barely out of his teens and his musical knowledge and ability were already at that level. So, what has he learned since then?? I mean 8 years of being immersed in creating music, you'd expect any normal human to learn a lot...but with JACOB'S BRAIN?? His learning curve must be completely off the charts.
You almost ran out of stank face on this one! 😂😊 It’s a stunner.
Love these Jacob Collier reactions, can't wait for more of them!
Bet 😁💫
Thank you!
dude you've got talent being able to analyse this with hardly any listening
You're a braver man than me attempting to transcribe these live.
Thank you for watching! Glad you found this helpful.
I want to recommend Jacob and friends' performance of "Hideaway" at the Paste magazine studio.
It may be best to listen to the original album version first, but the live performance arrangement is an entirely different beast.
Definitely one of the most interesting reactions I have ever seen😂.
Glad you enjoy it!
How do people even hear this all and figure out
heck yeah
Thank you
I was told “The Flinstones Theme” was based on “Rhythm Changes”. In fact, my test for a song I think is based on rythm changes, I use the Flintstones melody to check.
you should do a tutorial on his cover of Hide and Seek with his harmonizer. some crazy chords on that one
It's easier to just turn a forearm parallel to the keyboard and just press down
Be interesting to see how you get on with his version of "In the Bleak Midwinter" ... 😬
No particular reason 😇
I would love to see that too ^^
Thank you for your suggestion
*cough* no reason *cough*
That might've been G half sharp lol
