It's sort of like Whose Line Is It, Anyway. They give points for "right" answers, and also for funny answers. They take away points for answers that are obvious, but wrong. The points don't really matter.
Nobody really knows, though it is suggested that it's how interesting or wrong an answer is. It is however totally irrelevant to the show. It's just meant to be fun.
the only detail ive heard is "you get more points for an Interesting answer than a Correct one", and that the Klaxon means Minus Ten... ...but in all honesty, announcing the "rankings" is just a clever way to Name the players at the end of the show, instead of saying something 'boring' like "thanks to Josh, Holly, Cariad, and Alan for being on the show" or whatever...because in the end, the points really Dont matter, its just more fun than NOT using a Points system...
@@jefferyhoelscher I guess I was waiting for a follow up discussion about whether teleporting was feasible or not. My guess would be that teleporting a person intact might be possible for a very, very advanced civilisation, but humans will never be able to do it. We'll be able to make a few atoms jump across the room, but that's about it.
Orlando natives have known about knocking out kidney stones on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad for decades. I love to see more people discovering this quirk 😂
I had two kidney stones at the same time; a week after diagnosis still had them so drank a lot of low alcohol beer. Had to wee all the time but was dulled so passed them both in one stream. Still not comfy but was drunk so huzzah
That was a bit odd, for me, Thrush is a yeast infection in the mouth, which I though was mostly babies, but I guess from their comments that they use thrush for any yeast infection.
Don't ever take up medicine! Thrush, also called Candida, likes warm, moist places. It is Not confined to baby's mouths! We can't help it if Yanks are thick! It is rather cute how you always blame others for Your ignorance though. Doh, I guess dey use if for udder fings ober dere! So does Ever bloody doctor on the Planet! Except US ones apparently! Lol
First time I watched a full episode. I still don’t understand how they keep score, but it’s fun.

Points are also given for interesting answers.

Holly's "let's hope the queen is listening" is so much funnier now lol if only she had been
Would like the XL version but this is still nice to have!
I love Holly’s thrush joke, but the nitpicking nerd in me is dying to shout out “Thrush is a fungus, not a bacteria.!”
🤣
Love these, more please 💖
They misspelled "carpal." (26:07) ijs 😛 I just found that a "carpel" is a female reproductive organ in a flower. 😉 QI always inspires learning. 😁

What's this, a full episode that isn't blocked outside the UK? :D
Can you post the XL versions?
13:40 Wait.. that was a funny joke, but what was Sandy's question about teleporting?

I keep thinking Josh is the host and on the panel, but it must be my imagination
surely the official qi channel can upload their own episodes with their own subtitles
Why? The rights to subtitles are not necessarily owned by them. They can be done by different companies, for different countries and stations.
Sorry, no... someone who takes your selfies for you is called a "photographer."

What do the bacteria talk about?
Their culture.
Wait. It's not Monday!
It’s Monday somewhere

Yep, one of those pesky US/UK differences.
