    Should look at the small and even larger side facing v7 and v15, the v7 has become my go to flashlight, fits in my watch pocket. The battery is small, but it's bigger than the really small torches. The side emitters work well for me cause they can clip on a pack/shirt and illuminate enough to get a small task done. The only drawback with the v7 is that it wont work while charging, the v15 will work in all modes while plugged in, which is how I want my bigger side emitters to work. I like them to be able to use a large external battery for extremely long usage times. The v15 also has secondary flood lighting and a GITD case.

    Some observations I have to augment your review of the Boruit V10.
    Firstly, this light appears to be a generally manufactured light that is then branded by multiple vendors of which Boruit is merely one of many re-branders.
    Personally, I find the "siren" function all but useless because it's relatively quiet. Your review example was surprisingly loud relative to my experience.
    I view the UV light as useless unless you're hunting scorpions. It doesn't work at all for finding, say, pet urine which would actually be useful. Not even a novelty in my opinion.
    I far prefer a branded variant from Ciwic which unfortunately can be difficult to find. I picked up several for only $17 apiece on sale and with a nice, bright red laser pointer in place of the (in my opinion) useless UV light.
    The laser equipped variant is one of my favorite flashlights, and I'm a flashlight nut with more flashlights than any genuinely sane person would have. It's a bizarre combination of surprisingly high performance and great features bizarrely fused with a lot of silly and useless features spliced in. Lots of run time, quick charging, dirt cheap, and so on.
    A super important point which must be HEAVILY emphasized is that it is EXTREMELY unsafe to keep in a pocket or purse or in any other enclosed, confined circumstance. It has no lockout and the thousand lumen momentary option can easily activate by circumstantial pressure and it gets HOT very fast.
    While I love this flashlight, you MUST MUST MUST be cognizant of the accidental lighting heat danger and handle accordingly. I wear one EVERYWHERE on a neck lanyard because I'm that kind of dweeb. 65-year-old, half blind retired engineer. I must use it a dozen times a day to augment my iffy, diabetic vision.

      Great points! A laser version would be useful. I'd rather have that than the front UV. The side "blue" light also emits in the UV spectrum so it's essentially a UV light. I honestly haven't ever used it for anything useful either. Though it can be used on recent US currency to counterfeit check a $20 or $100 bill.

      At first I was hating on you for giving your opinion on UV being useless (maybe because I just like having UV, and would also like an added lazer as you mentioned exists in a different model!).
      Can we have both?
      Your "opinion" is actually super valuable as a self admitted "flashlight nut" lol. 😊
      Us there a model that is nice and solid/compact like the V10, but with a lazer?
      I gave my v10 to a friends son (couldent say no), and about to order the V20 as replacement 🙌
      Hopefully it's good 😅👍

      @MoondogReviews Use it to see dust, and whatever else shows up more in that light spectrum!

    • @captainterrific
      @captainterrific 2 месяца назад

      @@augustusmaximus891 I am not personally aware of any model that has both.
      And I think I need to make a clarification. Rereading what I said was not very clear.
      The UV is only "useless" because the UV version doesn't really work all that well. I have a couple of little rat dogs that leak and having something that would light what they do up like Christmas would be extremely useful to aid in cleaning, but I couldn't get the UV light on this flashlight to do that. Perhaps the frequency of the light is wrong; I don't know.
      So it's only "useless" because lighting up biological material doesn't really seem to work all that well and it was my expectation that it could do that.
      If it actually had been able to do that, I'd have held onto it like grim death.

      The heat isn’t very bad coming from someone who owns 10,000+ lumen lights (including Imalent lights) and I keep it in my pocket on a daily basis along with my wallet and other stuff (it is an EDC light after all). I’ve only ever had it accidentally activate in my pocket once and it’s definitely not hot enough to cause a burn or let alone fire through the pocket (unless your pants are extremely, extremely thin). That’s not to undermine its heat though, you 100% should still be safe with little beasts like this one, after a few minutes on turbo the metal part can get hot enough to give you a third-degree burn if you leave your skin exposed to it for like 20+ seconds (probably, haven’t personally tested that though).

    I think you measured the run time with user errors, maybe you used the flashlight for other tests and then tested the run time as my test has huge difference in results-
    Tested starting on full charge on HIGH
    I got a run time of: 04:02:40
    Basically 4hours of runtime on high but for sure the light brightness is pretty constant throughout excluding the initial decline in brightness for 30seconds
    Also one more addition on something you said is: the side light does not have an UV the one you saw is actually a simple Blue light and not a UV

    • @MoondogReviews
      @MoondogReviews  5 месяцев назад

      Nope. Fully recharged it overnight and didn't run the light prior to testing. Your unit may have a better or broke-in battery? Some new Lipo batteries don't fully recharge until a couple of cycles.
      It's a blue light that extends to UV band. It has enough UV out to cause UV sensitive items to fluoresce.

    • @oh_yeah_
      @oh_yeah_ 5 месяцев назад

      @@MoondogReviewshey maybe you’re right about the battery.
      you’re definitely wrong about the uv light, I had to study electromagnetic spectrum, WL spectrum & wave optics for an entire season so ik what i’m talking about,
      “It’s a blue light that extends to UV band” - a completely wrong statement, a UV has a wavelength range of 100nm-380nm and a Blue light has a range of 450nm-495nm, they are no way close to each other even if hypothetically “blue extents to UV band” there would be another full segment of violet which is around 380nm-435nm, in that logic red is also extending to UV and all the other colour lights are “technically” extending to UV.
      The reason u might think the blue light is UV or close to UV- U might have tested both on objects which generally have a very prominent glow and reflection to UV, (fluorescent) you might have also noticed somewhat same reflection from the blue light, now a common miss-conception is “fluorescence” is only reactive to UV which is wrong, it will also react to the same way to a shorter wavelength light like “violet” or “blue” but that is definitely not a reason to believe all blue lights are UV.
      A simple experiment to prove the difference between your blue light and uv-
      get a thermo-chromatic ink pen (a pen which erases when introduced to heat, “friction” from the back tip of the pen or a eraser) or get a “erasable” pen and then write something down on a piece of paper and erase it, now shine the UV light vs the BLUE light on the piece of paper, you will only be able to see the “currently invisible ink” with the UV light and not with the Blue light, Wollah you proved that both are different.
      here’s an example i made- ibb.co/xLsQNqR
