Maven S1: The Best Looking Spotting Scope
I use mine on the back of my Perun 3 clipped to the headband in red flash mode on dark country roads. Should anything happen to the main light it can be pressed into service to light the way. Such a versatile little light I'm never without it.
Thank yoy for sharing
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the review. I would love to see the Maven B.3 6x30 put head to head with the Kowa 6.5x32 BD II XD.
Interesting. Maybe I can borrow a Kowa and do a side by side.
Nice buddy, I'm thinking if you turn a hat around you can clip the light forward .. I'm about to buy one.. I just receive my baton turbo and baton 3 I think, the one 45 deg light 😂.. love Olight, I used Fenix light for the last 5-6 yrs.. love it too.. I wish Olight can upgrade that the light can adjust up or down light Fenix does.. I work on car so it's very help if I can adjust the light up or down to where I want it light.. 👍..
That's a great idea. Hope you subbed.
Does the PD40 v3 have a spring on the head and tail?
Just the tail
You can customize the ui and make turbo 2 clicks and strobe 3 clicks. While the light is locked out, you press the button 10-11 times and hold on the last click. Light should blink 2times. Now unlock and they are reversed.
Thanks for that info. Hope you subbed
This thing is an airsoft optic. Please do yourself a favor and don't waste your money putting it on an actual firearm.
Not sure I even want this on my airsoft gun.
Does this charge with usbc to usbc or only usba to usbc? I've noticed a lot of flashlights dont charge with usbc to usbc
Looking to buy my first pair of headphones, and was wondering, how long do these last before they no longer work?
Depends on how hard you travel and bump these things. Mine lasted for 4 months until I gave it to my daughter to use. She broke it after about 3 weeks of using it at school.
@MoondogReviews ahh ok thank you!
If I buy this one can I use it to strobe.
Double press for strobe.
Olight never over claim but their price is a bit steep.
Steep? Compared to Streamlight, Surefire, or Nextorch?
Hi, I bought V3 over smaller V1 because it same price here. Is it much better battery life and lumen than V1? Also love the option of magnet and black-light over V1 but missing warm light.
My magnet keeps popping out even after gluing it.
Now this is how to do a spotting scope review. Great job
Wow, thanks! Hope you subscribed.
Hat trick with this light is to turn your baseball cap backwards and clip unto the strap
That's a nice hack. Hope you subbed.
There is also a red light turbo mode that does not step down when you double click on red light mode. It’s a cool light.
I like it. Hope you subscribed.
@ , I sure did. Great review.
Also, nicely done graphics/titles on the imaging for distances, etc.🎉❤
Thanks!
Nice review hope you get a lot more subscribers🎉
Thanks! Hope you subscribed.
Nice review hope you get a lot more subscribers
I appreciate it!
Please lock the exposure for the beam tests.
I'll have to finally mess around with the Pro Videomode on my phone
You touched on it towards the end, but I don't think you were critical enough. This form factor does not have much practical use. Clipping it on my winter puffer (zipped up) or shirt pocket, it sorta just flops around, never giving you a consistently focused beam of light. If you clip it on your front pant pocket, it's relatively stable, but your hands will be crossing the beam constantly. Clip it on the strap of a bag and it just slides down during your hike. The only real use I found was the magnet, and clipping it on my rear jeans pocket to show oncoming traffic I'm there, but that's pretty limited. In addition, that pocket is where I keep my phone... Anyway, it's very well built and the lights are fine, but I sent mine back due to its lack of practicality.
I’m glad I’m not the only one that thinks this. The exception may be the Wuben X1, where it’s light enough to clip to a hat brim, and articulates to fire forward.
Agreed. The form factor lends itself to clipping onto a backpack strip or somebody wearing a chest rig or webbing. Hope you subbed.
Good point. Hope you subbed.
great review, suggest keeping your camera on a fixed iso during the brightness sample of the door
Noted! Thanks for the tip.
@MoondogReviews subscribed. Just got mine a few days ago. I get the point when some people say that usability is a hit or miss because of the 90 degree design, but in my opinion, this flashlight is probably the best secondary flashlight there is. The runtime on medium is insane for the weight and also the ability to have red, spot, flood lights all in one. I think this flashlight isnt suited for outdoors but its more of a tech/mechanic light. I find it super handy for metal workspaces and lighting what i do infront of me directly with a hat (like fixing wires in the dark).
Do you think for most people the extra money for the argos is worth it over the talos ?
Most normies, no. Hunters and long range shooters will appreciate the wider eyepiece on the Argos.
Honest review👍
Thanks! Hope you subbed.
This is a considerably better review than many others that have much higher view counts. Thanks very much!
Wow, thanks! Hope you subbed.
I don't get it. Half the magnification of the (discontinued) TS-82. Not much for spotting at 1K yards.
Agreed. I see this as a speciality spotter who seriously need to cut weight or run covert.
Good video
Thanks. Hope you subscribed.
this was a great review, i was shocked to see your sub count, this is some seriously high quality shit.
Thanks for subscribing. Do you best to spread the word.
doesn't work anymore, according to rumble it was RUclips the ones that stopped the sync process. All this time I though I was uploading to both and now I have to manually upload everything manually one by one on both platforms
Yeah, did I follow up video. RUclips now sees Rumble and Odysee and everybody else as a threat and have shut down that sync feature.
Where have you been, Christmas decorating starts on BER months, SeptemBER, OctoBER, NovemBER and DeceBER. Ask Filipinos, they know.
My relatives that have Christmas decorations in October is because they left them up since last year.
Can you review barska 25-125 spotting scope from amazon for $140 also?
After the experience I had with the Colorado, I won't touch another Barska scope ruclips.net/video/4_D-bu6HXAc/видео.html
Oh, I didn’t know you already reviewed it. Thanks for the link.
@@OrangesnGreens Enjoy. Or in this case, avoid.
Mine is stuck on low/dim beam. How do I fix it?
Return it for warranty service
@MoondogReviews hmm I can try that. I bought it on Amazon though.
@@fifty6648 IF it's less then 30 days, you could get a return directly through Amazon. If past 30 then Streamlight should cover it.
just bought two, great for xmas only 15 pounds, apso do many others
Good choice!
I need one in Ghana How much
I don't know. How do you buy Amazon or Temu products in Ghana currently?
I had been advocating for Goggles4u to my fellow Marine Corps Veterans, church members, my chiropractor, strangers and anyone who would listen. The last 2 times I ordered my prescription glasses from them the frames were definitely cheaper quality in 2024. The last really good frames I received from them in the early part of 2024 the arm broke. I must admit that the next 2 pairs I purchased in 2024 were light weight with cheap looking frames that took a month to arrive even tho I paid extra for their fastest shipping method. I called them several times but a couple of weeks later I tried ordering from Zenni Optical and they Emailed updates and tracking info with expected delivery dates.
I accidentally did a water test on this flashlight by forgetting that I had secured it with the magnet to the top of a dishwasher and then running said dishwasher after repairing it. The flashlight survived and works perfectly to this day.
Good to know it's waterproof enough that torture test
Today I also got my 5 items and it was such a disgusting cheap quality products.
What "free" items did you get?
leaving a comment.
Thanks!
Good looking Glass and it’s difficult to get crystal clear at 60x under 6-800 dollars. Spotters are get more definitely pay more, Vortex Leupold etc. but way outta my Wheelhouse. Great video
Yeah, premium spotters get into the thousands.
As I checked all the spotting scopes till now,i found Kowa TSN Prominar is really no1 in the world and its really sharp and free of chromatic abberation and colour finges
Kowa scopes are indeed awesome
Not so closer to Kowa and Swarovski not even close to Meopta or Nikon, field of view is very narrow
The Kowa and Swarovski indeed have better glass. But The Swarovski ATS 20-60x80 has a listed FOV of 108ft @ 1k yrds. The Cronus is listed as a FOV of 117ft @1k yrds. www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/885865-REG/Swarovski_86614_ATS_80_20_60x80mm_HD_Spotting.html/specs
i bought the pro and its a pos caught and fire and melted the palstic lens after 4 days idk if i should even give olight another chance after they almost burned my house down
I would get an Warranty exchange? But it's easy to forget we are literally playing with fire with any Lipo powered flashlight that outputs a blinding ≥1000 lumens.
Keep your lenses clean and don't make a user error of repeated turbo mode. Use like intended and they are great lights
You need to keep it away from heat or sudden temperature changes.
Hard to avoid sudden temperature changes if go from hot summer temperatures into an air conditioned building?
I like the Trousers my friend I’m a huge fan of Pockets. I wear Tru-Spec but my 5.11 are softer. I check the Amazon Warehouse and usually find a pair for around 25 bucks most of the time. It’s Amazon Resale now
25 bucks for 5.11 is a good deal. LA Police Gear sometimes has them on closeout prices too.
I've had this for a good few years now, it's been a really good little light. I am wondering if your 300-lumen output was from testing the turbo/boost mode (accessed by press-and-hold while off) or just the high mode? I didn't see you mention and couldn't quite tell from the video which mode you were in. I believe the turbo is closer to the claimed 500 lumen - it's significantly brighter than the high. Over the years I have dropped the thing many, many, many times, thrown it on the road a few times, and I think I might have run over it once. The cover of the USB-C port broke off some time ago, and it does have a tendency to activate in my bag if I don't put it in lockout mode (and i almost never bother), but apart from that, it's still a very reliable companion.
My lumen measurement was of the High mode to see if Jetbeams numbers were accurate and if they were, one can infer their other output numbers will likely be as well.
love mine, EDC cant tell its in my pocket. light enough for attaching to cap..
That's what I wanted to hear.
I prefer the Pro (have no use for laser) but purhcased the Ultra as a gift for a friend who spends lots of time outdoor involved in conservation work. Both terrific tools. Hyper comfortable and simple feature sets.
I bet they'll appreciate it. Happy Christmas.
Its a head of a caracal
You're right
These do not have magnesium tubes; they are aluminum.
Sorry about that, I must have had these confused with the BX4 Range HDs
Listed on Amazon for €25...i purchased on sale €18... Only to see them on Chinese apps for €12. 😢
12? That's cheap. But how is the return policy if it comes dead?
Sv46 is way better
I've reviewed the SVBony SV46 too.ruclips.net/video/o7D3fjDXgxs/видео.html
