Thank you. The V7 does indeed have the clip, but I didn't like the 3 center led's on the side and nothing on the tail ends. I do have a V7 though, maybe i should do a review on that too.
@@Survival-gyver Yes you should do that review as well also the magnet on the V7 is weaker I guess it’s more comparable to the Wuban G2 I have that one as well awesome keychain light…
I will release the review of the v7 on July 22nd. And maybe a comparison of the v3/v7/v10 on Monday the 24th. Just found the clip for the v7, and unfortunately, it doesn't fit the v3, nor the v10.
Found your channel looking for videos about the V3. Nice to see you covering the V10. Had no idea it even existed. The V10 honestly doesn't seem that great. The V3 is pretty much the size of a key fob and just works better for my use cases. Some video feedback: Nice review/comparison, good job with the description. I think if you divided up your videos with chapters/timestamps they could be a bit easier. For example just divide up the video from when you're unboxing or I find that it helps format reviews better. If you get a chance adding a simple thumbnail would be nice too, it just takes a few minutes in Photoshop!
Thank you for the response. I agree that the V10 doesn't seem that great, its as if Boruit added functions without any rhyme or reason. As for dividing up the video, I've done time stamps before where the video gets divided, but I have been having issues with YT about it. YT tends to reprocess my video's every so often, making the time stamps then be in the wrong places. Unfortunately, I don't know when there is an issue until someone tells me, and that may be months later. But i will keep it in mind, Thank you.
Great review. I went with the V10 because I want a bigger battery and I don't mind a bit of size increase, quite happy with it for now. The only con I have is that it gets pretty warm, but it's to be expected with such a small torch, especially since it's so cheap
@@reetsa4203 i searched it, i believe you, but im polish so i use a site called allegro for all my online shopping needs, i don't see it, maybe i'll get it next year
There’s a problem with the v3 - it doesn’t support USB-C power delivery, which means it won’t work with most USB-C chargers with a USB-C to USB-C cable. This means that on my travels, my V3 wouldn’t recharge from the charger I was using for everything else. I had to find a USB-A to USB-C cable for it to charge. The v10 does seem to charge properly from regular USB-C chargers.
Weird, because I used a USB-C to USB-C to charge mine without any issues. Someone else from the forums said the same thing, it turned out his cord was a USB-C data cable, not a charge cable.
Usually the type-c to type-c cables are smart cables. Which just mean that it can talk with the plugged in device to choose the appropriate wattage. The V3 isn't a smart device so the cable just refuses to charge it. I don't know if the V10 is smart. It's probably not. I ordered one so I'll keep you posted when it arrives (if I didn't forget). Hope that helps.
Thanks for this indepth review. I have the V3 and it makes a great spare flashlight for the car. I contemplated going with the V10 because of the added alarm feature, which can be useful for attracting attention. Except that it appears to be too anemic on the V10 to be useful. Going to pass!
I had the v3 and loved it! I lost it at work one day and I have been considering upgrading to the v10. I’m not sure still and that alarm on the v10 is kind of turning me off from it.
I've lost quite a few v3's. Though I just refound one recently. It was inside the fender well of my vehicle, It was there for almost 2 months. I had used it to put a spare tire on at 2am on the side of a dirt road. Pretty good magnet I'd say. As for the alarm on the v10, I would just not use the function, if that's the only thing holding you back. Price wise, they are very close.
Your welcome. I'm not sure about the battery, or how to test for it. There is a gentleman who did an excellent tear down of the V3, and figured out the electrical schematics, his channel is @bigclivedotcom, and his video of the v3 is here: ruclips.net/video/61eTzzU2bTI/видео.html If anyone actually knows how anything about these lights, he should know.
the video was very well done and the content was very engaging and impressive.I like your video and subscribe you .by the way ,i have purchase a boruit v7 mini flashlight ,it has a pocket clip
Thank you. I do have the v7 as well, and haven't decided to do a review on it yet. Though the v7 does have the clip, it doesn't fit the v3 nor the v10. On my v7, the UV light does not work, and I use the UV a lot for work, as we have to identify automotive parts with special tracer threads that glow under UV light.
Whats the turbo on both? Is like v3 hold in the left for turbo. I use that function most. To the harrs / rabbits before my dog on hills. And whats the strongest Lumen on both a know it says 900 and 1000 but yeah I have olight gear so I know it isn't. Thanks!
On the V3, turbo is holding the left button. On the V10, turbo is holding the right button. V3 is about 450 lumens, and the V10 is about 500 lumens. All the Boruit and knock off versions, figure about half the rated lumens for what they state.
@@Survival-gyver Thanks for the answer! I think im gonna a buy a v3 again then, I don't want that alarm function and think the uv is nice on the v3! Thanks my man!
The V10 buttons are easier to press then the V3 which are quite tough. The V10 downside is the double click will fail - if you click to fast. You sort of need to pause a moment between clicks = very annoying.
I don't have that issue with the buttons, I found the V10 buttons harder to use, mostly due to the buttons being backwards, when I was used to using the V3 for a year. I did notice the double click on the v10, but i wasn't sure if i was just annoyed with the reverse buttons or i was impatient with it. Thank you for your feedback.
I can try, but different conditions will show good and bad. Locally here, we get heavy mountain fog, where adding light makes visibility worse. Otherwise, your going to get the same usability as any other 500 lumen light.
99% of companies test lumen output differently. Or vaguely compare against another flashlight with the same vague rating. There is also another issue of type of led and reflector. Just changing the reflector can change the lumen output significantly, and even LEDs of the same type, with the same input power, can have different output lumens due to minor differences in the diode itself. Unless each and every light is independently tested, the lumen rating is a generalization to compare between flashlights. Anything above 10k lumens is absolutely fake, as its 1] against the law in the US to sell a 10k lumen light as it can give you second and third degree burns in mere seconds, and 2] can cause source ignition of trees/shrubs, even houses if left on against flammable items for more than a few minutes.
If anything here interests you, please like and subscribe, so I can make more and better content for y'all. And feel free to comment and critique.

My V10 glows quite brightly. If you want to charge it in the dark just turn the UV LED on in your pocket.
It does, but does not seem to last as long as the V3, nor as bright.

Both are water resistant, as long as the charging port is properly sealed.
