I am so grateful that you posted this video. I had so much troubles with this EB and now realise it is not that easy to get it well done. It needs the right techniques
Best tutorial of this I have seen. Would have got nowhere without this vid - thank you. Still I find one side much harder than the other. One side the rope crosses perpendicular to me making the jump easy, the other side it comes more at 45 degrees so I constantly hit my foot. I think it's down to how I cross my arms but man, it's frustrating! And the wrist slaps are killer!
Sweet happy to hear it helped! It may be a flexibility issue on that one side or it could be the angle the initial side swing comes in to start the end on that side vs the other side. Slow motion video will be your friend in determining the problem.
What is the worst rope slap you have ever had? I've had some absolute vicious BUTT slaps! I'm talking a nice standing welt across me arse haha....I tried to run from the pain....it didn't work. What do you want to see in an upcoming video?
Picked up my jumprope again in Jan. Using this video, it took me 3 weeks to get the EB side swing decent enough to do reliably, and another 3 weeks to get the full EB. Still gotta polish it and get it up to speed, but I did full EBs from side to side smoothly for this first time today. Thanks!
Funny thing, I've gotten in to doing Rope Flow along with jump rope. The EB Side swing is an overhand sneak in rope flow world. Fun stuff. Great for shoulder mobility after your coach kills them with Wall Balls and pull ups.
It was tough at first but it more so boiled down to just gaining the flexibility for the reach and understanding the angle that the rope comes in. I still need to work on it to smooth it out more. Time will do that.👍
Whatever I do, it goes sideways (not parallel to my body)... it seems impossible when I'm doing it, and yet I see others doing it well... no clue how to make it happen.... sadge...
Focus on good form. During this skill it's hard to hit the hand and arm positions at first depending on flexibility. Practice it slow so you don't have the threat of getting smacked hard👍
If you can film yourself in slow motion from a couple angles, that can really help to identify the problem. You can also tag me in a clip on Instagram (@jump15_official) and I can take a look.
This is the best tutorial. The others are not really breaking it down and looking at the faults like yours or making it rocket science.
Appreciate the feedback and glad it helped!🤜

It's definitely not an easy one!
Appreciate how you show your outtake mistakes too so we can relate since it’s not the easiest trick to learn for beginners.
The goal isn't to be trip-less, but to trip less.🤙

Right in the nuts. So bad I was done for the day.
@@TeFLoNMD11 Dude, that's brutal. Probably some PTSD from that one on your next workout! Haha

Thanx a lot for this GREAT TUTORIAL! You nailed it perfecrly for Beginner like me! Cheers from Germany! 🙂
Appreciate you! 🤜
Finally found a video that explains briliantly, and only took 10mins without jumping yet. Keep it up.
Nice!🤘 you too!
Great tutorial Kyle!!!
I'm looking forward to trying this one out😊
Let me know how it goes!🤙
I watched the rush athletics tutorial and just couldn’t get it to click, I like how you broke it down! Will try tommorow
Cool, let me know how it goes 🤙
I'm looking for the detail of this skill and RUclips suggest me. Thank you so much for the tutorial, it is not easy to get it.
Ya this one is a bit more technical so stay patient. I hope it helps out. Keep me posted!

Definitely works range of motion and shoulder/arm flexibility. 👍
Landing the EB with a crossrope, that's impressive. I can only land these fancy tricks with a long handle free style type rope.
It was tough at first but it more so boiled down to just gaining the flexibility for the reach and understanding the angle that the rope comes in.

Great tutorial!! 👍🏼
Just subbed man, only person I seen show some mess ups too so I was ok I just need to get the technique down better lol
Right on bud🤜 it's definitely a more technical skill so nailing the hand placement is big.
Whatever I do, it goes sideways (not parallel to my body)... it seems impossible when I'm doing it, and yet I see others doing it well... no clue how to make it happen.... sadge...
I aim for a diagonal rope path as I jump it. This skill has a lot to do with the flexibility of the arm reaching across behind you.
Good job bro, thank's for sharing.
Thanks bud🤙
Great tutorial!! THANKS!! :))
Glad you enjoyed!
Thanks😊
🤙
This looks great… I will try it…
Let me know how it goes!🤙
Boa tarde, teria como você me envia um link pra mim compra uma corda dessa
I have a question, how can I stop it from wrapping around my head and it hitting my feet

What means EB? (ex. Cross Open is c.o jump)
I'm not positive, but it may be the initials of the person who came up with the skill.
Thank you so much!
Trying to understand why my rope get narrow when I try to uncross the rope back to the front

@@Jump15official thank you, will do
What do you mean by “loop” 2:25, where is the loop
The loop of the rope is what you jump thru. You need a big enough loop to clear each side of your body.
With a Crossrope just makes it that more difficult. IMO. Sheesh.
Haha 🤙 whatever rope you use the most you will find a way!
Which skipping rope is this?
That is the Crossrope 1/4 lb rope

Is this algorithm reading my mind?

The reach behind was the hardest part for me. Hang in there! You'll get it!
