After watching so many unrealistic newborn routines on RUclips and feeling quite deflated that my routine with baby looks nothing like them, it was so lovely to see some realistic self care tips. Loved the video, thank you. ❤
As a viewer without a baby I really appreciate learning about all the ways you give yourself grace throughtout the day and in changing seasons in life. Absolutely relatable to anyone thank you💜
showers are key!! so life giving. my daughter just turned 1 in June and Im pregnant with our second, I was just telling a friend that that is something that I desperately miss about not having children. being able to shower every single day! 😍
I like how you think cause I feel like the way you live lets you enjoy your time with your little one. Pretty soon he will start crawling , walking then school. So your just enjoying life right in the moment
@@AshlynneEatonas you were reading to Oliver in the video I’m thinking, I hope they us the library get all the books you and Christopher grew up reading. And Oliver and get the chance to share that with Oliver. I think That be fun to do.
Wish you posted this 5 years ago as I struggled really hard throughout my 1st pospartum and didn't find many realistic stories of mum grace etc. Ironically, giving birth to pur 3rd baby last year, I realised that I'm finally able to enjoy this newborn season, knowing already that nothing's gonna be perfect 😅 All the best for You and Oliver ❤
I had a really difficult postpartum with my first baby and it is so important to give yourself grace and know that the hardest parts only last so long ❤ things get easier and you learn more about your baby and yourself which helps a lot!
i'm far from being a mom but i feel like this does apply to living with mental illness too. another depressive episode has just started for me & things like "give yourself grace" and "something is better than nothing" are really helpful too. also therapy, yes
You look so naturally pretty just having stepped out of the shower with no make up and wet hair ! As a 50 year old woman I'm slightly envious but happy for you. Love your good down to earth advice! Greetings from Ballymena N.Ireland,☘️
Could you do a video or short about your skincare routine? I have seen in your past videos that you just use a microfiber cloth, but I am interested to know if you use a face cleanser or micellar water, etc. If not, why? Do you find that your skin is happier without cleansers?
Hi Ashlynne! I have been following you for quite some time. I like this video as it speaks to me as a new mom too. My baby is already 14 months old but I still feel like I’m treading through unknown waters. One thing I’m sure of is that our babies change us for the better no matter how much we have changed from our pre-baby selves. You go mama! ❤
These are all great suggestions! I would also add to get a kindle. So often when I’m pumping or feeding my babe I’m just scrolling on my phone. Sometimes it necessary because I’m literally trying not to fall asleep but most of the time I just stay on my phone. It makes me feel so drained and defeated when I realize I’ve wasted so much of my day just scrolling. I’ve been swapping out my phone for my kindle whenever I feel like I need help staying awake and it has helped so much.
As a new mom my goal was to do something for myself every single nap. That could be washing my face and brushing my teeth. A shower. Having a good meal.. my partner made it his goal to ensure I could shower every day (romance isn't dead)
Love this. Nothing can prepare you for parenting a newborn, you really just learn as you go. You’re so right that it’s ok to not feel ok, and to seek support-and also to be that support for others.
Don’t apologize for wearing the same thing! I honestly wear clothing items at least twice before washing unless I sweat in it or spill something on it. Being in the tailoring industry, not washing after every wear prolongs the life of your clothing.
Just sharing for safety no judgment here, your car seat shouldn’t touch the seat in front of it. The simplest fix may just be putting the handle of The infant seat in different but locked position. Maybe you do that after putting the baby in, in which case disregard the start of my message!
Some of these tips are not just for new mamas, but also those of us and care takers going through health struggles. Your entire world can get wrapped up in the obvious that we forget about self care. Take care. :)
Please be mindful that the content you’re referring to was Ashlynne’s real life. I’m not a mum, nor will I be anytime soon, but I appreciate what she has to say because I watch her because I like her, not just the content she produces. Ashlynne is a human being who has gone through a major life adjustment, of course she’s going to discuss it, and not only is she posting, but she’s supporting so many parents out there. Not just mums, parents, because all parents can relate to this. Please be mindful when making comments like this as it could be assumed that you’re insinuating Ashlynne becoming a mum was a negative thing.

I’m so glad to hear that! Every baby is different and every parent is different. So it is OKAY (and even good) for your routines to look different. 🤍🤍

Ashlynne makes great balance with the content, she became a mom but not because of that the content is motherhood fully focused and I appreciate that.
I LOVE that you took a shower and then put on the same outfit! That’s so relatable and I’m so glad you didn’t try to hide it.

That’s such a great goal!! And the daily shower is everything 🤍🤍
Newly postpartum and I needed this today, thank you ❤
So glad to hear it. Sending you lots of love. You’ve got this 🤍🤍

You are one of the most cutest genuine person on the internet 💕
Baby is getting so big! So beautiful! Glad you can take a few moments for yourself! Youare blessed!

You are just such a breath of fresh air. Thank you for sharing and inspiring ❤
These are great tips for new mums. My child is grown up now. We found that taking our baby out was good for us and baby. He is adorable ❤
Thank you so much!!

You have such a healthy way of seeing and approaching motherhood! 🥰 I am a mother of two (6y.o and 8y.o) and I can recognise many of your suggestions😊
generally silent viewer here but I just wanted to say congrats he is beautiful and as a mom of 5 self is the grace that gets me through the day!

Aww, baby boy got so big 😢❤🙏🫶
I know 🥲🤍
Thank you ashlynne. I have a question. Are you going to share your baby moon video with us at some point?
What is the curl cream you applied?
I can’t remember exactly what it’s called but it’s from DevaCurl, I think it’s their styling gel

Haha yes, we have it set forward a bit when driving. I'd just adjusted it back for a second to pick up something. But moved it back after 🥰
Loved the video! 😍 also that jumpsuit looks so cozy, is it available somewhere?
Thank you! And yes, that’s jumpsuit it the coziest! Here’s the link: bit.ly/3UrHcuO
Loved this video and how much grace you give yourself❤ do you still use that work out trainer app that you used prior to having baby?
I do!! Slowed down a lot during the last month of pregnancy and first month postpartum, but back at it now and it’s been great!
@@AshlynneEaton that’s awesome! What was the name of the app again?

What app/workout program are you using? A newly postpartum mama here :-)
I’ve been using Trainwell and LOVE it 🤍🤍
❤❤❤

Oooh yes!! That’s so good!
