But the possession was just not a “toy” but a treasure. Although you can have it replaced, it wouldn’t be as easy to accept the lie.
So the reason why Stewie keeps fooling himself into thinking Rupert is real is because he’s capable of lasting forever, unlike Brian given his small lifespan as a dog.
