Host ip is always local ip, no matter what game server you are running. If you want it to be accessible over the internet you need to port forward, or use a lan emulator like radmin, in which case you would put the lan emulators ip.

Is this worked with Hacked Rom?
Yes
Does this work on Virtual Boy advanced? thats the emulator i already have and would prefer to just have that one if possible
Quick note, probably not. I was doing the test myself with what I had and it refused to work.
the mod did not do the rest
Me and my brother are on the same wifi but we are having trouble connecting to each other's game. I'm using the server script while he's using the client script
can anyone help me please with which IP number do I need to put into client and host, im running Macs both connected to the same wifi router.
For the server file you don't have to change the IP address or Port in the file. Just leave it as it is. For the client file you will need to change the IP address to the IP address of the host's Mac, which can be found by clicking the Apple logo > Preferences > Network. Just leave the port as it is. I hope that works.
@@dennisvanfaassen8918 thanks yeah, I figured it out yesterday a little after posting but thanks now anyone else can see how also
Does this work for IOS/Android? If so can you explain how.
No, it does not. Maybe if mgba was ported with scripting.
@@thehuntermanx7137thats sad.
Will this be avaible for Pokémon Platinum as well? Or black and white
It may be possible, but this only works for GBA games because it is made for a GBA emulator
Not from me. I have enough work with Gen 3 as is.
anyone still in here with a guide on how to seve the game files when u shut off ur pc just lost 4 hours progress
Just save it using mgba. Saving is the exact same as without the script.
it would be nice to have written instructions aswell along with the video or in the description, also what program do you use to open these files?
notepad
use a .bps or .ips to .gba converter if you want to start the dame directly
does this work on mobile?
Not until mgba ports to android with scripting.
Is it possible to Play on an Android Emulator?
No
Fuck yes awesomesauce :)
Can I play in Japanese?
Does anyone know how to increase the Frames for the game as a server? I tried manually ScriptTimePrev variable to something like "400" in the server LUA script but it didn't do anything
Might not be possible cause the games are natively locked at 60
Question: Can I use this with retroarch or do I need the MGBA standalone emulator
We're you able to find an answer to this?
yo a waterblue version would be cool (that one fan hack)
How do you host....
It keeps freezing when I open the client file I'm using zerotier if that helps I put the IP as my friend's public IP and it doesn't work please help?
How long does it normally take to connect because it isn't freezing it's just... stuttering i think?? I don't know this doesn't provide enough information on connecting specifically over the internet without a port :(
when i load it it says there is a error in line 925 anyone know how to fix this
Does anyone know if this is possible for games like alpha sapphire or xandy?
I would need more explanation on where the host gets their IP (as this is not explained) and if "international" means not on the same internet network (connected to the same router) or if it actually means like someone from france wanted to play with someone in canada because that is unclarified.
Host ip is always local ip, no matter what game server you are running. If you want it to be accessible over the internet you need to port forward, or use a lan emulator like radmin, in which case you would put the lan emulators ip.
@@TheCreeperProBro what does port forwarding mean?
@@psonehagrid by default your router has a firewall and any time someone from outside of your network tries to access anything on your network, your router will stop/reject it. Port forwarding is opening ports so that your router allows traffic through that specified port so something outside of your network can reach something on your network that is using that port.
Host has a public IP, which clients must connect to. The server can find their public IP by using a website.
How did you edit your Lua File?
Looks like they used some sort of code editing software but I think you can open it with notepad to similar results
unknown game, script disabled.
anyone know how to fix this?
Does anyone know why it runs so choppy?
can someone tell me how to set it up with hamachi? i tried but my friend can't login
Does this work with Radical Red?
Does it?
