I have had a lot of time behind the wheel of an ambulance that had liquid springs and they are a game changer. Normally when one of the rear tires hits a bump, the entire box (back of the ambulance) sways back and forth a few times. With the liquid springs, you hit the bump and it stops any sway immediately. The first time I experienced this, my mouth about dropped to the floor with a big grin lol. For those of you trying to start IVs, do CPR, or get intubations while driving down the road, it makes a night and day difference.
Yeah but I'm not trying to do that. Seems like the added expense basically $10,000 floss the added expense of the upkeep of the system is probably not worth it if you're not putting IVs in people. It's cool and I would totally want it but for me I'm looking for a truck that will last 20 years at a reasonable price point. For an extra $15,000 over the life of the truck I feel like it needs to be absolutely necessary and for my needs liquid shocks seem like an unjustifiable luxury item. I mean for that I could buy two Godzilla V8 to keep in the garage. Which means I could mod and burn the first one to death and have all of the fun in the world and still have two engines left over. The hydraulic suspension is pretty awesome but it just doesn't seem worth it
Really? What setting do you run your liquid spring in? The med unit I’m on has them and I feel like they have way too much body rock/roll on any setting besides sport and then the ride suffers. It doesn’t help that the front shocks on my truck are destroyed and the transmission smells like it’s cooking itself 😂
My friend owns this company Elevation Off Grid I went to the shop when they built the first one and I was so amazed by the size of these trucks, the topof bed is taller than my head! I thought they were so cool, but I didn't yet understand what they were actually building as I learn more about the capabilities of these vehicles I am more and more amazed every time I look at one. Jeremy and Sergio at Elevation Off Grid are both amazing guys and their dedication to these trucks blows me away. These guys are working 20 hour days and still manage to find the time for their families and Friends. I feel privileged to know these guys personally and to watch them grow their brand. Thank you for the videos!!
I was thinking in my head I’d rather get a tremor and put 40s with coil overs and dual bypass shocks, but I remembered this thing is still a badass work truck. Not really comparable, but badass for someone using it as a work truck!
Well done video, Andre! What a monster, the ultimate overlander! Liquid Spring is also an option on some gas-powered Class A motorhomes, makes a significant improvement in ride and handling.
Pretty cool rig. I think that liquid suspension is quite pricey all on it's own, but if i had the budget and need for a 1 ton (even if not for offroading or overlanding) I'd probably consider it as I've only heard good things.
That suspension would be a game changer when towing a heavy toy hauler up in the mountains. I'll be following their site for when their F350/450 kits are available.
I thought I would hate this video and truck.. but after watching it perform, seeing the payload, and the fact it has an 8 ft bed. I'm in freaking love and I want it! 10k of payload!!! Holy cow. What does it tow though!!
Same. I actually watched this video to hate watch it, I thought it was just a big stupid bro truck, but after seeing it perform I actually kind of like it. I can't imagine a use case for it though. Maybe take the bed off and throw some kind of a camper on the back.
Fun video and truck! With the $8,500 sound deadening package, would have been nice for TFL to test with a decibel meter, like you do all other trucks, to get a real value rather than "it's really quiet". Andre states their goal was to make it as quiet as a luxury sedan and that he thinks they succeeded. Testing with a decibel meter would have provided the data. Maybe next time.
Instantly felt in love with this truck! But of course I need more:a megaraptor nose and I need it on....46"!!! Double the tank capacity and turn the armrest into a cooler. Interesting paylod and towing abilities. Good review.

I'm building a mild overland 2022 Ram 5500 With a Bowen custom's bed and northern light truck camper. With liquid Springs And Buckstop Truckware single rear wheel conversion. This video makes me feel a lot better about the buy in. Also I spoke with EOG About purchasing their truck except at the time they only sold Ford F550 which did not have adaptive cruise control. Now EOG sells Ram 5500 srw which is a beautiful truck.🤙🏼
Since I saw this truck in one of your other videos, I can get it out of my mind. :-). It is a bad ass truck and great platform to build an overland vehicle. Maybe someday..
I'm usually very big on price and $179k is a lot but when you think about it this is the most capable truck you can buy and that says a lot. I don't like how compact it is but I'm sure there's a reason for it. But I would say that's a reasonable price for it. Super capable
Wonder why the rear brakes where sparking at minute 12.20. I've seen that in the track and while pulling somewhat heavy downhill but never under normal driving. Curious if its a normal occurrence with just the weight of the truck.
The way they managed to make this thing only weigh 9800 pounds is beyond me ❤ My ram 3500 SRW weights that much with a spare tire, Aux Tank, bumpers, and tools
I would love to see this truck do a IKE gauntlet near towing 20K or so up that, I wonder what mileage it gets to probably not as bad as you think The only negative i have with the truck is it doesn't have the new high output 6.7 that would likely make it even more nimble and normal daily driver feeling then it was and of course give even more performance and capability
A good alternative to getting a cab & chassis Super Duty is to get an F450 pickup without the detuned medium duty engine. 2023 has a high output diesel with 500hp & 1200tq.
Yes, if you dont need the 10,000 lbs. load capacity that comes with this configuration. I like the 550 vs 450 since i can haul a very large heavy camper/fifth wheel toy hauler, use it as a car hauler business, then go fishing in the mountains with heavy truck camper on the bed and a boat behind with no need for another vehicle...lol.

It would be interesting to know how low down This truck can go. A welder could really make good use of the suspension, and if it lowers quite a bit it would give them much better access to the equipment in the truck box.

I love the whole vehicle except for the front fender flares, the should have just re did the front panels over and it would look so much cleaner like the mega raptor

As an african who drove in african roads, I may comfortably say that you haven't driven this truck on a bad road (REAL of off road!) yet! Is it stout enough to endure true tortures? It's a serious concern so any answer will be highly appreciated. Thank you.

Pulling 15k lb trailer up a sharp jagged pipeline incline onto a plateau you need a serious truck and tires. I ripped up the bottom of my truck..blew tires out and got stuck quite a bit.
Is it just me or did the truck seem to be sparking at 12:23
I believe it’s the brakes, but ya I saw it too
Awesome truck and awesome review....
Should be a custom factory option. I love it.
I love the whole vehicle except for the front fender flares, the should have just re did the front panels over and it would look so much cleaner
like the mega raptor
Man, if you got the single
Cab version of this I bet it would be even better on harder trails
I thought 6.7 has 475hp? Is commercial trim less? If so I wonder why?
Longevity.
Cab and Chassis tune
That’s it I’m ordering one !
Great video 👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

I'm in love with this thing. We need to see more of it!
It does look CRAZIER
The price is just stupid. That trick liquid suspension is also guaranteed to break. Give me some leaf springs and a good set of Bilsteins. If I need anything more trick than that there are always coil over options.
Wild Boys
We are from Australia that one huge truck sitting on 42s
We love the big American trucks.
Most of our trucks are Toyota’s
Under power & to light for the caravans.
So a lot of people at towing Illegally as there to light of towing vehicle.
So the American trucks are stating to come into there own.
I love them 350 F Ford
People are going for actual Japanese Trucks tow Caravans and have enough payload capacity to carry a lot more than a F350
As an african who drove in african roads, I may comfortably say that you haven't driven this truck on a bad road (REAL of off road!) yet! And this is where I have some concerns:the liquid suspension system, with this extraordinary payload capacity, let alone its towing abilities, is this system is going to survive african roads? Is it stout enough to endure true tortures?
It's a serious concern so any answer will be highly appreciated.
Thank you.
