Thanks! Did my hair yesterday and need to finish it. I am going to wrap the string around the pieces of hair sticking out of the braids. This will create bands of color and prevent cutting.

I love your humbleness and your work. It is beautiful. I have a question and a request. I looked through your archive to see your braid work on 4c or coarser type hair. If you have one, can you point to it and if not---can you pretty please do one?

I guess my question is can a person get smooth, sleek and shiny braids like the one's you do...IF---they have that hair type.
There are videos on YT for 'Cornrows' on 4c but they still look...'rough'...I guess that's what I'm saying. Neat...but...you know...not shiny and pretty and stuff.

It looks like a drink pitcher; you can get it at any dollar store or Walmart/Target.

Yep that’s an electric kettle, they sell it at Walmart for $14.99. I use it for my braids too. You don’t have to fool around with a pot of hot water on the stove. It plugs into this little base that plugs into the wall, and within seconds the water is boiling. Then you can remove the pitcher from the base and dip the hair in it.
