I originally had no intention of coming to San Pedro. Nice place? I ended up staying 10 weeks. All the ex-pats smiled at me when I told them this, story, before invariably replying.
"I did the same 4 years ago."
Be careful if you come here!

Guatemala is a nice country. The football game looks fantastic. Here in my department, there is a little football championship called (Amistades del San Juan), "San Juan football championship" It is played every first week of January, it's the first football championship to be played in the world. If one day I have a motorcycle, I will visit the country! 😊

Hey if that’s the Spanish school Coopertiva, I studied there for a month. I’m going back September this year, 2023. Thanks for bringing back the memories. Peace.

I like the way you do video tour , it`s calme , you talk just Ok , you don`t concentrate the video on yourself , like many `` prima donna `` are doing , but on the around , it`s not an Ego-centric video , + you choose the life sounds around , you make it maturely , the way I like IT ! So thank you Very much , sir .

@@therehastobesomethingmoore That's very smart to concentrate your trip into just one country. Saves you a ton of time in both travel & those interminable border crossings.

Oh no, Guatemala is the second country out of many that we hope to visit, in search of our favorite cool weather retirement city. We expect to take 4-5 years traveling between Mexico and Argentina.

@@therehastobesomethingmoore Wow. That's impressive! Kudos to you for doing your due diligence prior to moving. You hear so many 'experts' telling you to move to such-and-such a country, but how do you know you'll like it? Take Panama for example; nice enough country, but I couldn't/wouldn't live there. It would be like living in a garbage pit. Good luck!

Actually I don't think they do. There are a lot of them to be sure, but I think there's a pretty good balance between the culture & the economic necessities of tourism.

I had a private 1 bedroom with unobstructed views of the lake, as you can see, it cost me $20 a night. Dorms will be cheaper, but you have to shop around.
