I hope you all enjoy todays video of fishing the Provo river in Utah. I got several brown trout and a couple nice cutthroat trout. If you have questions about the gear I’m using comment and ask, I’m happy to help people learn the fly fish! On this day I was fishing the upper provo river as it begins to go into the mountains.

I've fished the Provo just above Jordanelle a couple of times. Haven't crossed over the road opposite the entrance to the State Park yet. I assume that's where you were fishing, right? There's some nice pools you can reach by crossing the bridge inside the State Park and walking up-river. But you have to negotiate some gnarly flood debris and bushes.

What size rod were you using? I didn't see any other people in your video and usually the Provo is packed full of fishermen. What day were you fishing?

I was using a 4 weight. I was fishing some hidden little pull offs on the roads so i dont think many people fish the spots i fished. I only saw 3 other people fly fishing the whole day

@Flints_outdoorlife Hey man what nymph was that? And the size of it? I’ve been fishing the lower Provo all weekend long haven’t had a lot of success.

Im honestly not sure. If you screenshot a picture of the nymph and go to a local fly shop they will be able to tell you.
