Perfect timing! I've been eating horribly lately and videos like this get me excited about the magic that good food does in our bodies, especially when you're obviously excited and joyous about it too! And I always know I'm in sore need of healthy food when words like "brocolli sprouts" make my mouth water! Thanks Joy!! :)
That's understandable given the phytoestrogens however the studies I'm familiar with show benefits with flaxseed consumption especially cold pressed raw organic flax seed oil. That being said, every person is different so if you don't feel good consuming flaxseeds or the oil, then omit it from your diet.
Another excellent video Joy! Just wondering what you might recommend if one is vegan and fatty fish is not an option? I am so excited to try some of these recipes! 😊❤️
Hi! Glad you enjoyed it. There are lots of healthy plant-based fats -- chia, sunflower seeds, walnuts, flaxseeds, olives, avocado, hemp hearts, coconut products.
Are radish greens considered bitter greens? I didn't know they are edible! I read a zero waste recipe that uses them in pesto. I made it and it's delicious! Who knew! All those years wasting radish greens 💕

This was actually surprisingly helpful
I'm happy to hear that :)
Curious if there will be a new season of the Joyous Health Podcast? I've listened to every episode multiple times!
Yes there is! I'm working on the intros and then it's on to editing. It will go live in the next few weeks!

Yes they totally are! Pesto is a great idea because the texture of the greens is not my faves -- it's kinda fuzzy but I guess depending on the radish.
Thank you for the information. I shall try eating bitter veggies.
you're welcome, enjoy!
Great video!
Thanks Donna!
Great video Joy ... I’m sensitive (red) to flax seeds... could I sub chia ? Thank you
Yes for sure. Chia doesn't have lignans nor are they phytoestrogenic but still many other benefits.
I love the foods. I also use water enemas and coffee enemas from hormone balancing. A toxic body can cause and did in my case hormone imbalance.
That's awesome you've found something that works for you. Getting regular with your bowel movements is absolutely key for balanced hormones!
@@joyoushealth Thank you. I have been using enemas for more than twenty-five years since I was thirteen years old for the health benefits.
have you tried bitter gourd before? Growing up in a chinese family, my parents love to make bitter gourd soup
Interesting! I actually never knew you could eat bitter gourds!! I always thought they were for decoration.
