  • Working on the super vantage once again!
In this episode we teach you how to replace old sun beaten screen tint that gets baked onto your Aston Martin stereo screen & driver information screen.
Jeff, our mechanic walks you through the full process.
We ordered our tint online and not from Aston Martin, as many retailers carry perfectly fine tinted film for these repairs.
As far as color matching goes, the original screens had A brown hue to them, we're much happier with the clean blue hue this film added..
We have many updates from this project coming in the near future.
    Stay tuned for more.

Ya'll are treasures to the AM community. I dont have this issue but i see it on tons of AM from this era. Nice to be able to tell folks there is a pretty straightforward and cheap fix!

Small world, if that car was in Wilmington, NC for some of the life/work I think it’s the exact car that made me want one all these years.
    Great content, keep it up!

      So no desoldering required?

@@VelocityAP very interesting... fully debunks the writeups I've seen on other sites. I bought mine in Orlando with both screens exhibiting the issue. Looking forward to getting this fixed!

Hi Jeff! Great work. I have the same exact problem and don’t trust myself to do the job you did. Any advice?

Hi Jeff so I mustered the courage to do this but the tabs you are speaking of, two of them are soldering onto the circuit board. How did you loosen the tabs without desoldering the board?

Did you use window tint film to cover up the screens? If so, then which type do you use or recommend? Thanks!

Also curious on where you sourced the film.

@@JustinPandeloWe sourced a high heat window film that had good reviews. Look for one with a more bluish metallic finish to better match the aluminum dash gauges.
