In many cases, the airbag extends backwards above the door, so placing the cable as shown here may have unforeseen consequences if it inflates. =Make sure that the wires do not cross over the side airbag. Such a great video! Would you mind explaining, the part where you install the fuse in a certain direction, why is that and what would happen if connected vice versa? Thanks!
The reason you need to find out which side of the fuse slot has the voltage coming in is because the current has to flow 'through' the fuse. If you install it incorrectly, the device will still get power and operate BUT it will not have fuse protection. So looking at the fuse, one side will connect to 12V source, and the other side will go out to the device. If you install it incorrectly, the 12V source will be connected directly to the device side. You can watch another video I have showing the install, and you can skip to 5:05 in the video where I talk about the in and out of the fuse. ruclips.net/video/Me0idM8MW4Y/видео.htmlsi=bBrnEPIJL9gRMA3B

Get a dashcam battery that has output connection for the 3 wires: gnd, batt, ign 12v wire. So instead of connection to the fuse box, you connect to the dashcam battery.
Hey, I love the video! How were you able to discern that PWR SOCKET ACC 1 was ignition 12V and ELEC PARTS was constant 12V without using a multimeter? I don't have a muiltimeter on hand, but if that's the only way to find out I guess. Also, how did you know which way to put in the fuse tap? You said that in that vehicle, the voltage comes in through the right side and out the left, but how do I know if that's different in my vehicle? Or is it the same in all vehicles? Final question, is there a specific way to crimp the wires? Some people say wire crimpers are the safest way, but I saw you simply just squished the wires together with the pliers. Does that cause any issue? Thanks!
Since I test a lot of dashcams on my channel, I have done many videos where I showed how to test the fuse with a multimeter to find ign 12v and constant 12v. I did not show those steps in this video, but yes you definitely need a multimeter to test the fuse circuit and find out which fuse you can tap into.
Hi. Thank you for the very informative video. Can I please ask how you plug the a139pro to the 8 power cell battery? When plugged to the battery do we need the parking mode cable? Does that mean we need use fuse tabs for the parking mode and the battery as well? I’m so confused. Any help would be great appreciated thank you 🙏🏻
If you want to connect this dashcam to the Powercell 8 battery pack, then make sure you order the correct USB-C output cable when you buy the Powercell 8. You will use the Powercell 8 output cable to connect to your dashcam. The Powercell 8 is connected to the fuse panel using fuse tap. The dashcam gets power from the battery pack and not the car battery. See my review/install video of the Powercell 8 ruclips.net/video/e1lSGgr3KAY/видео.html

Once the cameras are plugged in, it will recognize the 3 cameras and begin recording. If you want to turn off the interior or rear camera, you need to disconnect the cable to it (power dashcam off first before disconnecting).
Hi I have a question about the infrared interior camera. How does the camera works? Does have a light that stays always on when it records cause that’s what I don’t like about it.
Do you know of a good way to mount the interior facing dashcam so it can be adjusted towards either the drivers or passenger side in the event of a police encounter?
The interior camera does not swivel left or right. If you want one with interior camera that swivels, then check out the VIOFO T130 that I reviewed ruclips.net/video/Zv3XfKl0WSo/видео.html
I would think it's a matter of finding a suitable universal mobile phone holder which can swivel left/right. Perhaps a magnetic one, where you stick/glue the loose magnet (intended to be mounted on the phone) onto the original camera-mount's stickypad. Speaking of mounts, I don't understand why Viofo didn't run all connections (power, auxiliary camera signals, and GPS) for the main/front camera through its mount. Separate cable connections are always good, but an additional quickly "unclicking" connection would be nice when you constantly remove and mount the camera.

Hi Thanks for your videos. I m looking at getting this dash cam I have the Viofo A129 pro is my hardwire kit compatible with the A139 pro or do I need to renew all wiring and cables
Hi there! First your video and knowledge is awesome. So when I am choosing which fuse I want to connect the dashcam circuit, it’s a bit easier for me because I have spare ones. However, they come in all different voltage. I learned that factory voltage must be always bigger than Dashcam voltage. I see that you chose 12V and 10V - is that big enough? In other words, what is the voltage of VIOFO A139 Pro? I’d appreciate your help!
The numbers you are referring to is amperage (A) for current, and not voltage. The car operates on a 12V system, but the current draw is different for different circuits in the car. The dashcam will work with a 5A or 10A circuit. That's more than enough to power the dashcam. FYI, the dashcam requires less than 0.5A.
Hello great video! I had one question, If Im tapping into a empty fuse slot for the hard wiring, what size fuse do I need? I need to insert two fuse into one tap.
@@aykay711 The fuse rating should be able to handle the current draw of the circuit. A dashcam should draw less than 500mA, that's why the 5A fuse will work fine. As for the other fuse, you can also put in a 5A fuse, but you need to check to see what current draw other devices use on that circuit.

My cam always turn off after 2-3 minutes in parking mode. Someone knows why?
Please set the voltage selector to 11.8V to confirm if it can work longer. It seems that there is no enough power supply from your car battery.
@@VIOFO-CS thats an good point i'll try later. i'll let you now. thanks mate
@@plo0p1 You are welcome, it is our pleasure!
I can not get parking mode to activate
Does your camera turn off when your car is parked even if you have turned on the parking mode in the setting? If yes, please check if your hardwire kit has been installed correctly. The yellow cable shall be connected to an accessory fuse that can detect the car ignition. The red cable shall be connected to a fuse that can supply constant power even if your car ignition is off.
@@ViofoDashcamOfficial It is ALWAYS on? Always when i park and turn off tge vehicle nothing changes. It never says parking mode activated. As well there are NO vudeos in app under parking tab. Parkibg mode will not activate. Yellow wire runs to radio fuse which after 1 click of ignition turns on. Red wire is straight to the battery?
@@speakadatruth7907 If the camera is always on even if your car is parked and has not entered parking mode, the yellow cable must have been connected to the fuse that can supply constant power. It is better to use a multimeter to test and choose a fuse that will only supply power when your car ignition is on and then connect the yellow cable to it.
I have the red cable going directly to the battery. I have the yellow cable going to a fuse but only turns on once the key is turned in the ignition. It's in the same fuse is my radio in my radio isn't always on
Maybe you guys labeled the wires incorrectly
