  • There was one German Emperor who reigned for 99 days in 1888, however his time ruling would be spend as a voiceless man crippled by horrific illness and he was in the pains of death. Frederick III was the son of the King and Emperor Kaiser Wilhelm I, and he was raised in a military manner. He was celebrated as a young man for his leadership during various European wars, but he hated warfare but he would also marry Victoria, the Princess Royal the oldest child of Queen Victoria. The couple were well matched, and they were admirers of Prince Albert Victoria’s husband. They would plan to rule as co-monarchs, but Frederick’s illness stopped him from establishing policies and himself s the German Emperor and King of Prussia. His reign was short, but his illnesses were many. But what is the story of the Horrific death of Frederick III?

I am sure the Victorians knew how bad smoking was to their bodies. Several descendants of Queen Victoria died because they were addicted to tobacco.

It is a pity Frederick didn't live a lot longer. WW1 and WW2 would not t 9:31 o my mind have happened. It makes you wonder what sort of a son they made. That's another story.

The very stupid Russian Tsar basically caused WW1 by mobilising the Russian army on the German border. He was repeatedly told to remove it. When he did not war was the outcome.

I’d agree. Tragic. He should have taken the throne a lot earlier from dad when it was offered, but he was too loyal? Too set in “how it works”? Honestly, sometimes good guys DO finish last. He couldn’t have seen the old goat would live until 91. NOBODY did. nobody lived that long back then! In all fairness to him. But…it also gave his son a lot more time to get all militant, and with his gigantic ego, and his as*kissers toadying up to him? I think they tried hard with him, but it was a very militaristic world back then, all about glory and all that stupid pap, and they weren’t totally in charge of him, because they weren’t the rulers yet, and grandpa, who WAS in charge, was under Old Blood and Iron Bismarks thumb. It Would have been better to not be able to speak. He knew how to write. Idk. But WW’s most likely wouldn’t have happened imo.

Light up another one! Two of my sisters were chain smokers and both died in their early sixties. One from COPD and literally smothered to death. She begged for a cigarette three hours before she died. The other lit one cigarette from another . About six months before she died, she decided to quit cold turkey. It was too late.
So! enjoy putting the nail in your coffin.

Pardon my ignorance (I watch you to learn, after all), but what is a "Princess Royal?" The eldest female in line for the throne? A daughter with the same name as a ruling Queen? Thanks for the video!

The title must be conferred by the Sovereign. There can be only one Princess Royal alive at any time. It is an auspicious honour.

Princess Royal is a title a Sovereign can choose to give an eldest daughter. It is not automatic.
