That is the best, most succinct and lush description of Joan's career I've ever encountered. I think she looked exactly as you depict her. Love your channel. I never really got how she went awry because most retellings are so full of her saintliness that you can't imagine a flaw or mistake. She just wouldn't stop fighting. But she was young and she was human. Thanks for telling the story without diminishing her power and importance. She really did act like a Hand of God.
Beautifully done, both the documenatary and her depiction. She was truly an amazing young woman, able to convince, not only men, but trained soldiers to follow her.

There is a context. Very young Charles is already known to be a bit soft and indolent, and then he gets caught up in the usual succession disputes and court intrigues. His own mother turned against her 16-year-old son, forming a government to rival that of her son. The latter was disinherited by his own mother and declared a bastard. In addition, his mother supported the marriage of one of her daughters, Catherine de Valois, to Henry V of England and had her son-in-law recognised as heir to the kingdom of France in place of her own son Charles. Charles VII had a temperament that was constantly under influence, first from his mother, then from advisors and other powerful people, and finally including his favourite Agnès Sorel. A weak man whose adolescence had been too violent not to hope for order and peace. He probably never wanted to be king, and he probably wasn't cut out for it.
You have an INCREDIBLE gift. It goes beyond graphic design and photo manipulation. It's like these people's souls are shining through your portraits of them. You not only managed to capture Joan's physical appearance, but you also made her look French (however that's possible). Moreover, you captured her courage, grave eyes, and joyful demeanor as described, all in one image.

The great silent film, "The Passion of Joan of Arc" (1928)," directed by Carl Dryer, is a timeless and definitive depiction of the trial of Jeanne d’Arc. I truly believe an historical epic of fitting scope must and will inevitably be produced about her life one day, once a major studio recognizes just how inspiring such a magnificent story would be to the entire world.
This has to be one the most incredible portraits that you've done so far. Based on my own reading, it takes into consideration all the reliable accounts of her appearance, right down to her ruddy complexion. Well done!
Thank you so much for this one; fantastic work and story telling. During my Chemin Saint Jacques pilgrimage, I was forced to stop in Orléans, so I visited the cathedral. The large window dedicated to Saint Jeanne D'arc is phenomenal; it was a blessing to read and understand more of her history there...I fell in love with her and her story; her feast day (30 May) is one I celebrate. Again, thank you...
Hi, I found your videos on my suggestion feed. I am so touched. I was born and raised near where Jeanne was born and raised. She is , of course, my mothers favourite Saint. Her story inspired so many. Women and men alike. It was touching to see her becoming alive thanks to your input and technology. Merci beaucoup.
My children and I really enjoy listening to these videos as we go to school and then once we arrive we look at the picture at the end. Learning about people that they probably would never learn about at school, broadening their minds and I'm learning so much as well. Thank you!
I don't see how it's comparable, Joan of Arc wasn't marginalised otherwise she wouldn't have cherished such influence and power. She was someone in power, not at the top certainly, but well above the common people, and eventually her family became nobility. And that's why she was executed: she had influence, power and motivated the troops of their enemies, they suffered defeats because of her, she's an enemy that needs to be got rid of. If at first they were reluctant to execute her, it was because they didn't want to make her a martyr.
Wow, Wow, WOW!! As a Catholic man with a great devotion to St. Joan d'Arc I have been SEARCHING for the "perfect" movie about her... and I've FOUND IT! I just love coming to the comments of these beautiful videos to find other people who were and are just as obsessed and moved as I am. I loved Joan of Arc growing up. It's so nice to see so many feel the same!
She looks so lovely in your modern interpretation of her! Thank you so much for this wonderful video! I have been an admirer of Saint Joan of arc since childhood.
I have admired Joan D'arc, known as Joan of Arc, the maid of Orlean, since I first read about her as a child. She is a great inspiration to all freedom loving people. I loved your presentation and I found your depiction of her face to be about what one would expect her to look like. What a story! a seventeen or eighteen year old girl, not a transgender, received instructions from God and led the armies of France to victory. It is too bad she didn't wait until the French were ready to mount their grand offensive that finally defeated the English.
The historical story that you've told in this instance, of Joan of Arc, and all of the other historical figures, is just incredible. The intricate details make you feel like you know them.

- Joan of Arc is a heroine known to the four corners of the world. This young girl fought and she has sacrificed her life for a cause that she believed to be just. She has shown exemplary bravery, an iron will and fidelity to her faith, the King and her land. His intrepid fight and his tragic end touch all the hearts. One can only bow to this figure at the symbol noble and legendary. His story should inspire every human being whatever his skin color or religion, his social level or his place of life. Joan of Arc is an icon and a Saint for the eternity. She will be perhaps recognized and considered in the future as a universal heritage. (Google Translation from French to English)
I have always had a strong liking for Joan of Arc. When I was a teen, I read Mark Twain’s “Personal Recollections of Joan of Arc.” It’s very good historical fiction that has real history including her trial. The author modeled Joan on his own daughter who sadly died at the same age as Joan. Thank you, you do an excellent job.
Great video. I think an important fact is missing from this video is that Joan was betrayed by all of the men she worked with including the King himself....hence why she ended up being executed by the British army. Its interesting how nobody was there to help or save her.
This made me emotional, I admire her so much. Currently working on a sleeve for myself of her and I love watching these and learning so much about her.
One of the greatest figures in the history. She had fashionated me ever since I was a small boy. How could this young woman or should I say girl manage to reach her power? Was it really from God, we will never know. May her soul rest in peace, you remarkable girl. 🙏
Jehanne la Pucelle left her Barrois region early 1429. She arrived at Chinon, with Yolande d'Anjou, the real mastermind behind the scenes, she was nearly 22 ! The hand written Latin document , De rebus gesti Francorum mentioned that she met the Dauphin , between the age of 21 and 22 ! She was in Tull, Holy Germanic Empire, in 1428, to annul a marriage promise which was accepted by the father, a few years earlier ! She was 20 ! Jehanne la Pucelle was NOT a teenager !!
I remember seeing your prior video. This one is more "completed" with the added history. Joan of Arc is one of those mystic figures that always captures the imagination.
The story presented is so absorbing that by the time it's finished, I had forgotten about the facial recreation and thought "oh, that's right. I came here for the recreated face, but now it's a cherry on top of the amazing story."
This could not have been a better time to see this video. We’ve just returned from Rouen, where we were lucky to see the cross that was shown to Jeanne d’Arc right before her execution. It was displayed at the church named after her during Rouen Armada, which we were recording for our channel, that just came to an end today. Your representation of Jeanne is very touching and somehow feels closest to what she may have looked. Thank you for the inspiration!
This should be a strong message to men who put women/ girls down and cause them harm..a young ordinary girl who saved France and showed such a courageous spirit! 🦋🌈 Thank you for sharing this brilliant/ history 💥
Great job capturing her animal drive and physicality of temperament governed by her pious nature--the woman who has captured the imagination of God fearing, freedom loving students of history.
This is fantastic. You told her moving story in such a clear and concise way. What an excellent tutorial for anyone wanting to find out who Joan of Arc was.

Wow! Thank you for this video! 👏👏👏 You guys did a marvelous job at bringing Joan of Arc back to life! Love how you've recreated her too! She is a true inspiration, a godly woman and a complete woman - a total badass! 🤜🤛
You mentioned in your introduction that = '' We know that she was short - probably around 5’ 2”, and very muscular with a strong neck. She had dark hair, cropped short with bangs similar to the men’s hairstyles at the time. Artistic depictions of Joan actually popularized the bob hairstyle in the early 20th century. Her eyes were described as “large, dark, and grave”, and matched her skin tone, which was tan and sunburned from her time outdoors." ..... The first Jehanne' pencil sketch (1430 ) showed her with long hair ! She had certainly strong muscular legs, wearing that 30 kilo armor, with weapons, since a Medieval war horse was mainly controlled with the legs. We really do NOT know that she had large dark and grave eyes ! This is the same echoic statement that Jehanne had dark eyes, dark skin/complexion trying to make her resembling the Virgin Mary. The ''Vigiles du Roi Charles VII '' , from 1484 , shows Jehanne la Pucelle as a tall young woman, long dark blond hair, often with a dress from that special Duke of Orléans' green colour or again , a red dress to the ankles , her arms always covered. Wearing a full armor on the battlefield with a closed helmet, and always long dress at the court, she probably had pale white skin ! The Scottish troops on French soil, mentioned that she had black hair and fair skin ! The Germans said she had dark blond hair ! The modern French, probably she had brown hair ! No description from the English aristocracy or troops. What we really know ... she spoke with quite a heavy accent, since she was from the Barrois region, that is why she was made fun of at the trial ; she was at least, wounded on four different occasions, seriously at the St-Honorée Paris Gate, her second armor, was built larger at the waist ; she had the best clothing and spurs of gold, she bathed regularly .. ( medieval public baths, one side for women , the other side for men ); she had a Scottish escort/guards of 70 Scottish knights and numerous Scottish bowmen ; she had four missions, she was successful with two of them ; she had 6 swords, they are all well-known today. She was very impatient , yet with quick decision-making skills and had compassion. She was known for her short temper !
You do such stunning work. High production value, excellent writing, narration, and visuals, and the musical accompaniment is stellar. I love your depiction of Jean D'Arc. Beautiful work thank you for all you do!
From Australia. Thank you. Great production. Some info included on St Joan's sword should have been mentioned which adds to the notion that she was guided by God. The recreation of her face - she looks like Meryl Streep.
The amount of effort, art and elegance put in the video is amazing. Thank you so much for all the creative videos and waiting for more to come… best of luck.
It was definitely harder with no solid thing to go on! That’s why I incorporated bits of the statue even though it’s probably not of her, it’s still really associated with her legacy. I’m glad you liked it!
Joan of Arc is the matriarche of my village Domremy, Saskatchewan,Canada, and the matriarch name of my Roman Catholic Church of the Diocese of Prince Albert, Sask. A statue was raised of Joan when the first church was raised in the 1920s or so.A new church was raised to replace the aging old one with bricks, and Joan's statue ornates the front of new Church, with Joan astride her horse, proudly showing a woman of valour ,fully clad in armor, I think minus helmet ,holding her flag , on a cement pad and monument, with its encryption. Gaston Hamoline
Holy crap! Just on a whim basically after learning about medieval armours & happening across a small passing reference that only that sketch of Joan had been made in her lifetime, I decided to drop by your channel to see if you had ever done a video on her, and by an astounding coincidence: here it is, your latest, less than a week old! Freaky... Another fantastic video, and recreation! I also can't describe quite exactly how, but your recreation of Joan also just _looks_ quintessentially French somehow.
This was beautiful. I cried when I saw 10:30 and 11:41 and many other moments. The music, the narration, the images. Her story is true and so moving. It is amazing what God can do in a life yielded to Him. She makes me think of King David as she would tend the sheep and she too had no combat experience yet she was strategic and fought like a seasoned warrior. The Spirit of God was definitely in her. I have no doubts.
Have you thought about trying to do Henry the 5th? That would be a challenge. I thought about taking a mix of the profiles and then compare with his father and the sketch up Humphrey and seeing what I could come up with, maybe one day lol
Your video is very well done. Joan of Arcs story is so inspirational it brought tears to my eyes. She was like a Wonder Woman superhero of her country, era, and the world.
Thank you for this wonderful production. I knew of her life , but the political and military history that she was a part of was something i knew little of , so thank you for the history behind this heroic woman of faith. And only 19 years of age. Inspiring what can be achieved when you have faith.

Thanks for this. She has always been my heroine. This is my 83rd birthday. ❤🇿🇦
I always say to myself to just skip to the recreation and then I end up listening to the whole story! The final reveals always give me a chill. Thank you for your work!
We will never know exactly what she looked like , but what an inspiration she was .
well she was definitely NOT black as portrayed in whatever tv show
@@pianorelaxingmusics No , she was French , so was a European.
@@pianorelaxingmusics same with Mary read and Anne bonny. They're making it seem they both were lesbian. In reality they were close friends and wore men clothing around pirate so nobody could know they were women on the ships.

After all she did for him, that "king" wouldn't even lift a finger to help her when she needed him. I hope you do queen Boudica too someday. Shes an icon! Queen Elizabeth I admired her greatly and used her story as an example of her own reign.
I was always been outraged by Charles' abandonment of Joan after her capture.
@@Petitmoi74 It is possible that Charles was actually illegitimate because both of his parents were very unfaithful.
Your work is always beautiful and you present it with a lot of enthusiasm. Perfect mix of history and stunning real life recreations. Thank you 🙏
Thank you so much!
I think you guys have some of the best recreations out of any channel! I love them so much! I think Joan is a fascinating figure, and I’m so glad you’ve done them. I would love to see you guys do Katheryn Howard, Queen Consort of England and Ireland, or Katherine Parr, or Queen Anne, first official monarch of Great Britain
There is a Kathryn Howard reconstruction available.

I LOVE your biography and reconstruction of my great, great... aunt and lifelong hero. She’s an inspiration to all of France and much of the world.
Merci à vous d'honorer cette si noble âme !
Chills. As soon as it revealed the wholeface, I could absolutely agree that I could be looking at a depiction of Joan of Arc. Really, well done.
I feel like her depiction came very close to Falconetti's Joan!
There have been 2 very good ones and one that was alright.
Yes agree overall, especially those large dark and grave eyes that both seemed to possess! @@clairepettie
This has to be one the most incredible portraits that you've done so far. Based on my own reading, it takes into consideration all the reliable accounts of her appearance, right down to her ruddy complexion. Well done!
Thank you so much! It was challenging with not much to go on, but I think it turned out really well :)
Thank you!
Hi Becca and Andre. Just when I think RNS couldn’t get any better, you outdo yourselves. I’m seriously enjoying your history lessons. ❤
Thank you so much :) this means so much to us ❤️
The trial of Joan of Arc feels very relevant to today. People in power telling marginalised people their perspectives don’t matter.
🙄 the opposite is happening
"Marginalised" dont refer to Joan in that undignifying manner, unlike you all she didnt victimize herself and whine
Royalty Now Studios, you have a fan for life with me... I just found you 3 hours ago and have been binging you the entire time since! God bless you for your absolutely STUNNING work!!
What a incredible young woman! Gathering the attention of so many men and helping lead them into battle, all because of her faith... what a heroine! Made me emotional seeing her at the end.
Thanks so much! I am writing a theology paper on Joan and I have French heritage and she has been my guardian angel throughout many hard times in life
I think this is my favourite recreation! I was so moved by her story and your beautiful recreation! ❤
Thank you so much ❤️
@@RoyaltyNowStudios I’m gonna love your current vid of Joan of Arc and Cleopatra… but can you do Saint Cecilia of Rome?
I just love coming to the comments of these beautiful videos to find other people who were and are just as obsessed and moved as I am. I loved Joan of Arc growing up. It's so nice to see so many feel the same!
One of her patrons is my patron saint. Love her and her story. Her feast day is the 30th of May.
I really appreciate the respect you gave her in the way you spoke about her and told her story. Thank you so much for making this
I chose her as my Confirmation Saint. I am only 10 percent French and moreso British but she was guided by God..
A woman with a mission, clearly.
Love this channel.
I literally burst into tears watching this 😢 thank you ❤
She looks so lovely in your modern interpretation of her!
You guys did such an amazing job! I think you really did the best you could possibly do with Joan's recreation using what information we have. I can see how the quality of your videos is increasingly getting better with each one! The writing, narration, editing, and recreations are all fabulous and on point! Definitely one of the best and most accurate recreations of Joan I've seen.
Thank you SO much! It was challenging with not much to go on, but it would be really cool to think she looked something like this. And I’m glad you liked the quality because this one felt like SO MANY HOURS lol.
Nothing but love ❤️ for her,,,,one of only a few people I would go back in time to meet.
I discovered your channel today. The face reveal is great, but the straight to the point history set up and how you got to your conclusion on how they might have looked like is what makes this channel Excellent.
Very well done. Joan lives, protecting us to this day.
Such a superb creation… kudos to Andre for editing part!
An incredible woman with an incredible calling.
Joan of Arc the Sister of Earth Angels. All Glory to God.
I have always loved history, but when you bring these people to life it has a whole meaning.
She arrived at Chinon, with Yolande d'Anjou, the real
mastermind behind the scenes, she was nearly 22 !
The hand written Latin document , De rebus gesti Francorum mentioned that she met the Dauphin ,
between the age of 21 and 22 !
She was in Tull, Holy Germanic Empire, in 1428, to annul a marriage promise which was accepted by the father, a few years earlier ! She was 20 !
Jehanne la Pucelle was NOT a teenager !!
From the first time I’d heard Joan’s story, I was obsessed. Even if she was mentally ill, her courage is unmatched.
Amazing, the story I have heard before, many times, but knowing the passion of your project made your telling all the more for it. Thank you :)
God Bless you Joan. That face is so real. Wish i could have a copy of this picture. Love the background music too !!
Thank you for sharing this brilliant/ history 💥
Awesome Work like always! Enjoying your content really much!
OMG, these make me cry. I am so grateful. These people come to life for me. Thank you so so much for these videos.
Thank you so very much for your artist impressions! I LOVE history and I am impressed by your research into these people! It is AMAZING how you continue to make history come alive! I have referred my friends who are history teachers to your channel so that they have their students see your work!
I saw the thumbnail while scrolling google. It gave me chills, so i came to the video. She looks like so many french women I know in Paris.
I really like the expert storytelling. It's just great to have a context, story before we "meet" with the hero.
Wow! Thank you for this video! 👏👏👏 You guys did a marvelous job at bringing Joan of Arc back to life! Love how you've recreated her too! She is a true inspiration, a godly woman and a complete woman - a total badass! 🤜🤛
This is probably the highest quality channel I am subscribed to. The storytelling and recreations are superb. Every single one made me shed a tear.
I cried watching this, it was such a tragic story. Even after all these years after her passing, she is still very inspiring.
It wasn't that she believed in herself. She believed in God.
he believed in her
I'm religious but shut up😂 she did it herself
You mentioned in your introduction that =
'' We know that she was short - probably around 5’ 2”, and very muscular with a strong neck.
She had certainly strong muscular legs, wearing that 30 kilo armor, with weapons, since
a Medieval war horse was mainly controlled with the legs.
We really do NOT know that she had large dark and grave eyes !
This is the same echoic statement that Jehanne had dark eyes, dark skin/complexion trying to make her resembling the Virgin Mary.
The ''Vigiles du Roi Charles VII '' , from 1484 ,
shows Jehanne la Pucelle as a tall young woman,
long dark blond hair,
often with a dress from that special Duke of Orléans' green colour
or again , a red dress to the ankles , her arms always covered.
Wearing a full armor on the battlefield with a closed helmet,
and always long dress at the court,
she probably had pale white skin !
The Scottish troops on French soil,
mentioned that she had black hair and fair skin !
The Germans said she had dark blond hair !
The modern French, probably she had brown hair !
No description from the English aristocracy or troops.
What we really know ...
she spoke with quite a heavy accent, since she was from the Barrois region,
that is why she was made fun of at the trial ;
she was at least, wounded on four different occasions,
seriously at the St-Honorée Paris Gate,
her second armor, was built larger at the waist ;
she had the best clothing and spurs of gold,
she bathed regularly ..
( medieval public baths, one side for women , the other side for men );
she had a Scottish escort/guards of 70 Scottish knights
and numerous Scottish bowmen ;
she had four missions, she was successful with two of them ;
she had 6 swords, they are all well-known today.
She was very impatient ,
yet with quick decision-making skills and had compassion.
She was known for her short temper !
Fascinating!!.................thank you!............she was one awesome woman!!

Hearing your voice makes me so giddy!! Thankyou for the stories.
omg this must have been so hard to do! amazing!
It was definitely harder with no solid thing to go on! That’s why I incorporated bits of the statue even though it’s probably not of her, it’s still really associated with her legacy. I’m glad you liked it!
Great narration and beautiful photo of her. Poor girl, rest in peace with God!
Joan is one of my favorite heroines may the Lord continue to have mercy on her soul 🙏🏼❤️
SO love your channel. Your work is absolutely brilliant. Thank you for yet another learning experience in a life, come suddenly to life.
You are so kind! So glad you enjoyed it :)
If only we all could have the courage and faithfulness of this young girl. 🙏
The way you told her story was so inspiring, thank you ❤️
Have you thought about trying to do Henry the 5th? That would be a challenge. I thought about taking a mix of the profiles and then compare with his father and the sketch up Humphrey and seeing what I could come up with, maybe one day lol
It was not belief in herself that gave her her strength, but faith that what she was being told was from God!
Royalty Now is wonderful! Thank you for all your hard work and research. She was a beautiful-hearted girl.
