That was my favorite part of Singapore. I went there for a week and ate that breakfast for 4 days. Fell in love.
just like what we did, same breakfast for 4 days. best breakfast ever! + the local coffee. i miss SG
I go for a breakfast like this every 3 or 4 days when I was in university. Kaya toast + 2 eggs + 1 kopi o, so delicious.
Sometime the simplest breakfast are the best. Someday I'll have to return to Singapore for a visit. And tried this place. Of all the place I've been, Singapore is my favorite. Thanks for sharing.
I am so addicted to these videos! I really love them! I love hearing the sounds of the street and the environment.
Aww so happy you like them!!!!!
Agreed!
Guy Mats....🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️ too, Brother! ♥️
Same
I always like to eat the sides of the bread first and then eat the part where there's the butter at the end. it's just heaven. For those foreigners who are watching, you can get kaya toast everywhere in Singapore but Ya Kun is the best place to get a kaya toast for breakfast.
Show us a Singapore market next time:) I really like your style of video editing. Keep it up!
I always wanted to try Kaya toast. That looked super delicious especially with the eggs with a little shoyu -salty sweet rich buttery goodness! Enjoyable video as well - I feel like we've just enjoyed a relaxing day.
This made me miss SG so much. We ate kaya toast for breakfast every single day we were there. And the coffee was amazing!
Toast, butter, jam, and eggs. Sounds perfect!
Hi Shinichi! The Kaya Toast breakfast looks really delicious. What a great way to start the day! I'm glad you were able to visit Singapore and try so many delicious foods. Thanks for the video!
I really enjoy these videos. I wish they were longer. Even if it was just more walking to or from the location, to see more of the area.
Very cool. Hope Satoshi enjoyed the Kaya Toast! I have never tried it but it looks yummy! 👍😎
That big slab of butter! 🤤 😄 I’d love to see more shopping videos. Doesn’t have to be anything special, I just love to see everyday things in other countries. The bike and train ride videos were fun too.
I absolutely love ittttt the kaya in singapore is amazinggg
6 years back at Changi airport somehow ended up having this without knowing what it is ❤️ after years still my favorite ❤️❤️❤️
always enjoyable :) would like to see what other food you are enjoying and places you thought were interesting!!
I've always wanted to try kaya toast. Maybe someday! Until then, I can live vicariously through your videos.
You can make it yourself! So easy and simple recipes. Very same with custard, but change the milk with coconut one. And add palm sugar. Just search it :)
You make everything look sooo good. 👍🏽
I absolutely miss Singapore because of these toasts 😭. I ate them literally everyday, they are so crispy and delicious 😋 I wish I came back to SG and ate them one day...
I love your videos they are my Zen. Thank you!
That looks soooo delicious!!
The food was amazing when I tried it in Singapore City.
Toast is one of my favorite parts when it comes to breakfast in the morning.
My favourite breakfast item. Sometimes I like it with steam bread instead of toast.
This looks like a cool little spot to grab a quick bite for breakfast!! A great way to start anyone's day!! Great Video Thanks 4 Sharing!! :)🇺🇸
I was there in Dec... Really loved kaya toast! Yummmmmmmyyy it was 😍
yakun kaya toast for breakfast... Yoshinoya for lunch.. both are yummy and light... Missing those singapore days..
The best Kaya toast in the world, next week I be in S'pore again after covid I'm returning back to visit my Uncle & Unty. UnFogetable Kaya Toast.
That cup of tea us so small! I would probably would want to drink a 12oz. 😋
Everything looks so good!
with the weather so hot in Singapore, it's tough to drink such a big cup of hot tea!
@@ernestkj i know, but i would want to drink it cold, like a cold coffee.
Mmmmmm! Crunchy, squishy, salty, and sweet--all the important food groups! ツ
I usually watch one of your videos before I eat my breakfast or dinner...it helps make me hungry. 👍
Classic kaya toast with half boiled eggs and coffee!! Mmmm!! One of my favourite simple everyday breakfast!
I love coconut. I kinda grew up on Yeo's coconut spread, so I think Kaya is similar. Brings back memories... I'm used to bread that isn't that dry though. That condensed milk tea looks great too.
I find Ya Kun made them too dry. They have pillowy steamed version too! Complete opposite🤤🤤🤤
I just wish the egg whites were cooked a little more, but that’s just a personal preference
i can totally agree looks too watery
The point of the eggs being watery is to dip your toast inside and eat them. I scramble the eggs and soy sauce even more than shown on the video and dip away
L V I noted that it was a personal preference, I like runny egg yolk, just like the whites a tad more done. Eat them however you want
me too, and my local ya Kun auntie will help
me cook them a little more for more firmed creamy eggs for my child’s safe eating...... u need request ya
Thanks for sharing your breakfast with us be safe and God bless you all
Omg I miss Ya Kun Kaya Toast so much. Everytime I go, I have to get it at least 3-4 times lol
You had me at eggs and coffee 😋
Welcome to Singapore !
I really miss this Kaya toast
I've visited the oldest branch of Ya kun kaya toast hope you can check it out. It's a must try food in Singapore, cheap and good food.
" taking baby steps so I dont sweat like a pig " ,,,,,, classic !!!! I love you guys !!! Hugs from USA! =^..^=
Looks yummy! I'll have to see if I can find that jam here in the US.
Hey boo available amazon
yummy - in Canada we know those as poached eggs - soft boiled eggs are served in the shell which you crack the top off and spoon the very soft egg out OR if it’s a tad firmer you can peel the shell from the egg and slice the egg in two (like in bento boxes) - whatever you call it that meal looked yummy 😁🤗
Kaya toast set, is the perfect breakfast. I can’t get it here in Australia, so I am going to have to make it myself.
In Australia too!! I want to try this 😍
Nice and yummy.
I have had Ya Kun Kaya Toast N times...but it seems that urs taste better 😁
I would like to see u in Malaysia. A foodie's heaven ❤️👍🏽
I wish I could try every breakfasts of every countries
i really miss it
Will you come to America? Arizona to be exact ! If you haven't seen the Grand Canyon it's really something you should see at least once in your life time ,, it's a life changing experience! If you come you should try the traditional indian fry bread and all the cuisine that goes with it ! Much love from beautiful Arizona!!!!! =^..^= p.s. I LOVE YOUR VIDS THEYRE SO GOOD!!!
It's my favorite breakfast in singapore
Anything want to eat so far look's great to me .
I'm hungry but I'm watching this at almost midnight. the toast looks sooo delicious, though I haven't heard of kaya jam. I wonder if it's available here in the Philippines.. Hmm... 👌👌👌
Hi! I love your videos, been watching them for many weeks now. Just subscribed :-)
Kaya toast was my favourite food in SG!
Thanks for subbing!
This is way better than any MacD’s breakfast.
McD's*. It's not "Macdonald's," it's "McDonald's." Don't know why people say "Mac."
you went back 😊
I did!
Oh u been to Singapore 🇸🇬 awesome nice place right
Near my office .... welcome to Singapore
You ate it exactly the way a Singaporean would. This video is Singaporean-approved.
So that's how you eat it! I ate the eggs and toast separately (in order of appearance), eggs first and then toast afterwards. Next time. 😊
But you are correct. I eat them separately and I'm Singaporean.
Esther Tan it’s a preference. No right or wrong
I’ve never eaten a traditional sg brkfast before even though I’ve lived there for so Long XD
Yum!!! I'd love set A... Uber Eats... delivery? LOL
It’s best to have it there while the toast is still warm and crispy and the butter cold.
I’ve never tried kaya, but I Googled it, and it said that kaya was a “dulce de leche like coconut jam,” so I do believe I would love it! The toast looked so sakkuto! ☺️ Thank you for sharing boys! Oh, and brother.....you have cute toes! 😉
Oh yes. Very much like a southeast Asian dulce de leche
I spy with my little eye, Satoshi-san making a video in the bg!
Haha yes!
Try mutton murtabak at Zam Zam and ask for the fish curry.
I have Ya Kun opposite my house and we have it for breakfast so often that we are sick of it. 😅
👍👍👍
Kaya toast, is the breakfast of the Gods.
Should try the steamed version too! Soooo fluffy. My personal preference cos the toast is too dry for my taste😂
Yesssss i love it too! Soft pillowy bread with melty butter and lashings of kaya... 🤤
Cheong SL I agree the steamed version is better
@@kangpae45 I'm having cravings liao🤤
@@simplyme3306 i hope ur office or school nearby has a yakun haha
@@kangpae45 nooo😩😂
Dip toast in tea ✅ dip toast in soft boiled egg ❎
Yay you have videos of Singapore! Love how you are eating the kaya toast correctly (dipped in the eggs) and glad that you enjoyed the food! It is one of my fav breakfast
Chilli crab!
My brothers I love ya to pieces but there ain't no way in hell I could eat those eggs. You can have mine. I'll just take the tea. ☕🍞🍳🤪
Haha. We’ll eat them for y!
I'm not a huge fan of soft boiled eggs but you can have them hard boiled too. Just tell them when u order.
Unsalted butter is so creamy..anyone knows the brand is?tq
Our currency is almost same as Singapore so easy to work out. That is a yummy brekky, the bread is quite different, good thing I'm waiting on Uber eats watching this. I bet Satoshi enjoyed it, nobody loves condensed milk in coffee as much as the Vietnamese. Thanks
I prefer my butter spread all over my toast so I get butter with every bite, also I could never eat eggs this raw, reminds me of a child’s runny nose 🤮 I’m glad you both enjoyed your food though.❤️👍🏻👵🏻🇺🇸
Try butter kopi next time
Ya Kun is the rich family in Lion 🦁 City 🌃. This is a very common breakfast 🍳why , could be iconic breakfast for Sing 🎤.only God know
Wait... which outlet was that again?
This is Ya Kun in Kampong Glam area
Ya Kun has A LOT of outlets in SG
The toast looks a bit like Melba toast, certainly looks nice. Think I’d need my egg done a little more though, lol
Try heap seng leong. I like it better than ya kun kaya. But yakun kaya is very good
this toast with hot teh tarik is fire!!!
By the way, I get hungry for a Peanutbutter Jam Toast... 😋
Um m those eggs could use some more cooking
May I know where is the exact of these location ,thank u
This is Ya Kun in Bugis
@@IWillAlwaysTravelforFood oh ok ,thx for ur information
What food you see in Singapore all is origin from Indonesia and Malaysia
@@huggybear441 India and China yes. Other is bullshit
Yang kesini gara2 liat liquid the o rama kaya toast
Kita satu hati...
I don't understand why they would give you the eggs before the toast just to let the eggs get cold. Maybe it's cultural, but in my experience, we eat fried and scrambled eggs hot. And, I would want them cooked longer, but again, just my personal need.
Up
To tourists vising singapore, Skip your dinner, eat like shit here. Im talking soft boiled eggs, kaya butter toast, french toast and either milo or kopi. Thats the shit
Sukiyaki
Singapork? Breakfast. Are you sure?
@@huggybear441 are you high?
An employee of a tea shop was charge of that buzzer because one of the customers didn't return the buzzer. They buzzed the customer but forgot to return the buzzer.
Toast & tea, definitely
Snotty eggs, I'll skip thanks
Got Milk ?
Sub!! ♥️ ♥️
The addition of soy sauce to the poached eggs was a mistake ... This is essentially a Singapore version of a British style breakfast ... However the butter should not have been frozen! Avoid this place ...
Everybody in Japan is now a food blogger, lol. Just look the guy on the other side. He’s also filming.
Ps. Those eggs looks super gross and way too runny. 🤢
The eggs look nasty and look like it been sitting in cold water.
Eggs over easy is not that hard to cook and the chef seem to mess it up.
Overpriced coffee and toast.
Those egg whites are not cooked... That would put me off eggs for at least a year if I was served with that sliminess 🤢
