    I find that a big smile right before your presentation also helps... Even if it's not exactly natural, it goes a long way in putting you in a more comfortable state.

    Some items re timeliness. When you negotiate a presentation time have the host tell you what time is good for them, don't fall into "what's good for you". Do not show up late then tell your audience you value their time. If you are inclined to apologize for something do it only once and don't endnote it.

    So many RUclipsrs do this and it's not even a live presentation--Garbage presenting even after the editing process. I really hope they all see this!

    • @alexanderlyon
      @alexanderlyon  2 года назад +1

      Yes, I've seen RUclips videos where it takes several minutes to just get the idea the video is supposed to be about. Channels used to be able to get away with that when the options were limited but so many channels out there now are just crushing it. Lots of competition means that videos have to add value from start to finish.

    I almost died laughing at the technology part, haha. You nailed it! Biggest sign of a lack of preparation is fiddling around because of easily foreseeable technical glitches.

    Direct and to the point. That was really quick and useful. In actuality, I've seen so many people chat about tangents before a meeting that the discussion runs on for another 5 minutes or so.

  • @nimageofmine

    Right to the point. That was super quick and helpful. In reality, I have seen so many talk about tangents before the meeting that drags for another 5 or so minutes before the actual meeting starts.
