Thanks! I was wracking my brain as to how to do the tops and fronts, and you've shown me to do odd stairs first then even stairs next! So simple yet it didn't cross my mind.

Terrafuse is hard to get in the United States. Easier to find something similar at a nearby concrete business. Terrafuse actually suggested I tear out my steps and pour new. It wasn’t anything near the disrepair from this project or other projects I’ve seen on RUclips.
The first method seems like it would last. The second has been done to my home and is chipping everywhere. Were my workers using the wrong product?. I live in Canada
Yes, probably using the wrong product. This product was designed in Canada. It is meant for this application. We have lots of “after” videos on our channel. Thanks
What do I need if my front steps are leaning towards one side more? So basically I have a wall up sidewalk then three steps to my front slab then my door. But my step have a half an once dip and cracks along the front slab here and there. The previous owner tried to fill the crack but my steps look detached. I can see metal.
Sounds like an involved process, but you can do it with this material. I can chat with you on the phone more about it if you’d like 👌 Pictures are always helpful too
I used a bonding cement for the tops of my 2 steps and on a corner which cracked off. Then I put quick set cement over top and made a mold to fill in the corner. Now I am spraying with water waiting for it to set, then I guess fill in what settles. I haven't put quick set on the top step yet? Can I leave it with the bonding cement? Its getting late so I figured I would finish in the morning.
with a resurfacing product you do not have to keep spraying water during the curing process bc there is none. forget about the quick set as that is a product for new jobs not repairs. you can get use a product that requires the acrylic bonder like CementFix, Ardex, Patchcrete or use a product like Terrafuse that has a bonder already in it. just mix the product and apply to a moist surface and trough/float it to the desired thickness and finish.
Another one!: I have windows with poor slope. There's room to make one over the wall. About 4in w x 1in h. Do you think it's a good idea? Or the slope will end loose?
@@TerrafuseInc where u get that i need to do part of my basement that i made hole for pipe repair and than want to tiling it any link for that product please thanks

This product is designed specifically as a concrete restoration mortar, and it will hold up better than concrete. It requires no sealers or curing procedures after installation.
I have some concrete stairs that were covered up with wood. The wood is now falling apart so I am planning to remove it. I think the stairs underneath are ok, but sagging in the middle/worn (not necessarily crumbling). This product looks like it could do the trick, but I don’t have a grinder. How much cleaning/prep is needed and what equipment would I need? Trying to figure out if it’s worth the tool investment to DIY this.
You can use a pressure washer. You just have to be sure there is no loose, deteriorated concrete left, and it is all clean and porous. Imagine painting a new coat onto flaking paint, it won't last.
What aboutif it has a long deep hollow hole almost the width of step with no way of framing it from within since it is enclosed, the hole is about 3 inches from riser part and about the width of steps on the top step (concrete precast top step of 4 or 5)
Can this be used to resurface a cracked driveway? given there are a couple islands of 1/8 inch settling... Can I simply smooth the surface over the the various cracks and slight height differences.. ?

It is designed for concrete, and is a very rigid material, with zero flexibility. If you are filling deeper metal pans with it, it will work, but can't be applied as a thin overlay onto steel structures.
I don’t have any loose concrete. Just an entire concrete staircase that has settled towards basement creating a crack all the way from top to bottom allowing water to seep into basement 🥲

You can add pea gravel usually sold at a landscape supply. Add approx. 30% by volume to your mixes. The product fills about 1/2 cubic foot/bag with some rock added, so you'll have to calculate your total volume needed. It will probably be more cost effective to buy it from us directly, and have it shipped to you, if you are doing bigger volumes. 1-403-243-3000

It seems to me like removing material like this with a hammer drill is rather excessive. i would think hitting it with a masons hammer should remove most of the bad material and give good feedback on how strong the remaining material is. Also i thought mortar was for brick and stonework and Portland cement was perfect for this kind of work.
This is for a long term, permanent restoration. I agree, you only need to remove the loose, broken, deteriorating concrete, but these steps had no structural integrity left in the concrete. If you don’t go deep enough with the removal, after a few years, the concrete will fail underneath your restoration. These steps are not typical though, most you find won’t be in such bad shape!
Portland cement does not bond to cured concrete. TF structural is specifically designed to chemically and mechanically bond to existing concrete structures. It doesn’t need or use added acrylic polymers to “glue” it in place.
You can just use a 5" diamond grinder, there are many different makes/types that will work well, but I highly advise a dustless system with a vacuum :)
