- In this Godot 3D tutorial (version 4.1 used), I talk about how you can use Spacescape to create amazing procedurally generated space backgrounds you can use to design levels in the Godot Engine.
I talk about the basics of using Spacescape and how the projects are setup using layers of noise to form more complex scenes. After that we go over how to convert the exported cubemap into a Godot-supported panorama.

What a life saver! I’m getting close in my prototype of needing a sky! You proved at the right time. Thank you!
THANK YOU!!! this will be very helpfull
Super useful tool, thanks sharing it!
Glad it was helpful!
This is so damn underrated :O I have been wanting such a tool for so long. I wish there was a tool as well which lets you paint the skyboxes (Photoshop supports this but meh...). Thanks for the tutorial :)
THank you for watching! :)
My goodness this was useful! Thank you
Your back 🎉🎉🎉
Am back!
this is very helpful thank you
thank you
Everytime I hit "download" the screen goes black for a long time. Nothing worked on Firefox but eventually it loaded on chrome! I was worried nothing would work for a moment there. If other people are having issues with the speed just wait a minute for the download to load or switch and try on different browsers for the Cubemap to Panorama converter
oooo thanks for this
Thank you for watching!
Nice!
Do you happen to know how to make it so that the star/planet can be close ie big but still be behind the ship/space station?
all my images are 4096x4096 but it keeps saying: not rendered: resolution of images not equal, please load ALL images same size(when all loaded it render)
This is in the online converter?
Hey there! I did your juiced-up first person character controller tutorial, then applied this to it, but the sky is all black, and I cannot see the sun anymore. The imported pictures are working fine, so the problem must be inside the project. Do You have any ideas how to fix it?
Does anyone know which version of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable is used for Spacescape?
Spacescape is not available anymore, the website is down...
Still there, the link was just broken I guess so I just updated it
@@legiongames2400 Thank you!
In Godot 4.2.2 this is no longer the case. I don't even know how to do it. Because they change so much in each version
create a world environment go to its properties and where it says sky there you can change the material
hmmmm setting everything to 0 in the converter didn't work
If there's a seam still try to figure out which face is causing the seam and try playing around with the settings
This seems like a cool program, but it just keeps crashing. It seems to mostly happen when I try to add a new layer or move a layer up or down. 😞
