This episode triggered me. Mon Mothma asked if they have any evidence, while they literally have a complete scan of the massive ring ship. Did they forget about that???
@@_sawbonz_tbf it took a while for huyang to scan the ship. Regardless, I think the 2 dead X Wing pilots and their ships should be able to explain what happened well enough
Mon Mothma has always been spineless and impractical. Like when she self proclaimed herself as leader of the Rebellion after bringing the different Rebel squadrons together in Rebels Season 3. Then when Atollon was ambushed by Thrawn and Phoenix Squadron and all their ships and weapons faced total annihilation, thousands dead already after Commander Sato sacrificed himself in order for Ezra to reach her, she basically said "Oh you're brave, but I'll try to negotiate for fair treatment if there are any surviving prisoners." Yeah... buddy buddy to the people you are actively trying to destroy. Too fucking laid back when you shouldn't be. Saw Gerrera was right about her. She didn't help Lothal either, but a platoon size of Ghost Crew+allies saved the entire planet anyway. There's a reason why the symbol of the Rebellion and the New Republic is a combination of the symbols of Phoenix Squadron(Led by Hera) and Saw Gerrera's group. They pushed it forward.
You know what's funny. New republic was unwilling to send a task force to investigate a possible imperial operation. But are more than willing to send a task force to go after a general and fighter pilots taking a joy ride.
Teva is a solid charater, While unsuspecting he probably is a top tier pilot. I personally don't care about the Asian representation part here I assume all races are part of Star Wars. I think he plays the role of the solid heroic yet quite character doing the right thing no matter what.
It is a good thing when ethnicities that have historically had very little representation in media are present. I think it's bizzare seeing something like A New Hope, which has quite literally zero major characters that aren't white in it. Search up the cast list on Google, it's a mayo fest. It's a good thing that this is changing, and it's hilarious to me that some racist weirdos have some kind of arbitrary limit where if there are too many non white or openly gay characters, they cry woke. If there's a trans or non binary character, they'll more or less have an aneurysm. Pathetic.
Carson likely was a very fit soldier when he was in his 20's This may come as a shocker to some but its not uncommon for vets to get heavier when they arent in their prime or still serving...but their skills and knowledge remain. It would be foolish not to call/accept someone like Carson back to service, knowledgeable fighters with experience and likely leadership potetial would have been a big asset given the nature of the Galaxy and the Imperial's army (where most of the career leaders would be)
Fun fact Paul Sun-Hyung Lee is a life long Star Wars fan. Not just in name oh he's in Star Wars thus has to be a fan. My man has been a member of the 501st in Canada. He's a HARDCORE Star Wars fan. I'm glade one of us got this chance.
I love Carson Teva. He’s a good dude trying to do the right thing in an imperfect system. I relate to that as a youth housing worker in a LARGE nonprofit.
Other fans got exited when they saw the Luke Skywalker at the end of season 2 of The Mandalorian. Me? I didn't, but oh god how exited I get eveytime I see Mista Kim in any of the live action Star Wars shows. Paul is an amazing actor, youtuber, and fan of the series.
You posted this only hours after I was gushing to friends about his character. Mr Kim in an X-Wing! Best Disney Star Wars character. The answer to your question just before 6min is: Hope. A new hope.
Im loving the love for Carson and Paul Sun-Hyung Lee and im here to share and suppourt that. Carson es a great character that you just like to see make in this expansive universe.
Teva is a decent, honourable, compassionate, caring, thoughtful, hardworking, selfless, and all-round nice person who will always do what's best in any given situation.
Honesty never thought much about him but you’re right, he is the sprit of what the new republic should be. Helping people however he can is what troops actually need to do, not that it’s easy doing what you think is right when you have different orders.
Carson feels to me as the Modern Wedge replacement, Carson like Wedge is a veteran of the civil war, who is not affraid of bending rules to do what needs to be done. Wedge is my favourite legends character, and Carson is fast becoming my faveourite of the latest batch of shows.
What I like most about Carson Teva as a character is how much he mirrors some of the characters found in some 1970s TV series. He could easily be a supporting role in MASH or Baa Baa Black Sheep and he reminds me of Sgt Dennis Becker from The Rockford Files or one of the guys in the squad room in Barney Miller. Somehow, 70s era TV understood how to present seemingly unassuming characters in casually heroic roles, just doing their jobs, better than what eventually happens in the 80s when star looks take precedence over more interesting casting choices.
I never ever see characters with my name in anything, and now i finally share it with an amazing character like this in the mandalorian and ahsoka. Very cool to have some of my favorite characters from my childhood say my name
The Korean-Canadian actor who plays Carson Teva is a huge Star Wars fan. He absolutely is perfect for the role as Carson. I also thought he was hilarious in Kim's convenience.
Baggy flight suit? I just retired from the USAF in 2019 and not once in my 20 years did I see a single suit that wasn't baggy. Only Hollywood tailors suits for the camera. What he wore is authentic. ✈️
I've liked Carson from the start. He seems so real and grounded, yet he's such an extraordinary force for good. So great to see someone of a certain age showing how much experience blended with knowledge, integrity and courage can achieve. The guy confronted a Mandalorian covert with only two entities in it not likely to shoot him on sight. Din and the R2 unit who was Carson's Intelligencer. Who else but Carson would rely upon an old R2 unit with PTSD? The man's a genius.
I first saw this actor in Kims convenience on Netflix and when I saw him in mandalorian with no accent my jaw dropped cause that was the only the second thing I had ever seen him in. He does such a good job though.
It's Carson Teva's galaxy. Mando, Fett, and Ahsoka, just live in it. lol He's popped up in every series at very critical points. I think he might have flown in Rogue Squadron with Luke. He's in close proximity with Leia. He's a bigger part to this and it's starting to come together. Long live Carson Teva!
Depending on how the stories evolve, I can see Carson being there in the end, as in outliving many of the main characters. One of the guys who's been through it all and can pass on the stories and experience to the next generation, maybe along with Huyang. I hope so anyway.
Paul Sun-Hyung Lee was at summer con outside of Seattle this year. I cannot even begin to describe what a gentleman and fan and nerd that man is he was utterly delightful we got to go back and talk with him for a few minutes a couple times and just so wonderful I truly hope that they will do the Adelphi Rangers around him. I did tell him he's way cooler than his son. Sure Simu, is a superhero, big deal it's not like he's flying x-wings. That made him so happy we hear that he can't wait to see Simu and tell him I said that
Something to bear in mind that if you’ve survived the clone wars and the rebellion, including no doubt the Empire’s last stand a Jakku, you’re either really, really good or really, really lucky. Either way that makes you someone that any sensible military wants leading a squadron so it will rub off on the new pilots and polish them up. When the fit hits the shan you really want to have someone in charge who’s been here before and can tell you what to do to win. That’s also why a lot of Special Forces guys are comparatively old, they fight with their brains first and muscles second.
Maybe Carson Teva was one of the reason why the Resistance had any kind of force left when the first order pretty much wipe the entire New Republic Central force and command and seeing the possibility of the return of the empire after thrawn he followed Princess Leia with other retired former rebel forces to help them make garrisons in the outer rim and with his influence on former rebel pilots now probably training new republic pilots like Wedge Antilles help recruit forces to follow for Leia if shit hit the fan
Carson Teva is the guy the new guy needs to have there to show them the ropes. So much experience, so much wisdom and they're all fading aware everywhere.
Carson Teva is a fill in for Wedge Antilles. The "everyman soldier" who is the eyewitness to all of the big stuff that has/will happen in the current SWU.

Fear, FEAR, an old man in any profession where the expectation is to die young.
Carson Teva has become one of my favorite characters in all of Star Wars.
I swear if Filoni is able to salvage something out of the sequels he’ll have done something everyone thought to be impossible
Carson is the living definition of "Don't judge a book by it's cover".
I was hoping someone would talk about him! I enjoyed him in Ahsoka, he felt like a survivor and a bit of comic relief. Loved how he reacted when he was told about Jacen's jedi heritage
when we first saw carson i didn't think much of the character, didn't really think we would see him again either, but we just started seeing him more and more and now he's my fav X-wing pilot in star wars
Carson is honestly a great new character to Star Wars.
Alan, don't know if you know Paul's backround or not. He is a huge Star Wars fan and has several cosplays. The pilot suit is his personal cosplay. They gave him the helmet to go with it and it brought tears ti his eyes. Love your channel, keep up the great content.
Korean Santa😂
Kim's Convenience is hilarious!
He will make the PERFECT live action Uncle Iroh
You called it
This episode triggered me. Mon Mothma asked if they have any evidence, while they literally have a complete scan of the massive ring ship. Did they forget about that???
Hera doesn’t have it, Huyang did. And he’s gone with ahsoka
@@oXRaptorzXo and Ahsoka didn't communicate her findings AT ALL? This seems like lazy writing.
@@_sawbonz_tbf it took a while for huyang to scan the ship. Regardless, I think the 2 dead X Wing pilots and their ships should be able to explain what happened well enough
@@_sawbonz_ of course she communicated their findings. That doesn’t mean she sent the scan to hera
"Korean Santa Claus" You're crack'in me up Allan !!!
You know what's funny. New republic was unwilling to send a task force to investigate a possible imperial operation. But are more than willing to send a task force to go after a general and fighter pilots taking a joy ride.
I hate to say this but the new Republic sounds almost as incompetent as the biden regime. Not trying to be political, its just, man they suck
Like 99% sure the senator that was giving Hera shit has to be on the inside for the empire.
Carson Teva doesn’t need the New Republic, but the New Republic NEEDS Carson Teva.
Watching a interview with him and how much he loves Star Wars was really cool!
I love him! especially this episode. He’s so relatable, just your average guy with heart.
Carson Teva, He has a Wedge Antilles feel to him….. He has the dad humor too. Maybe his group was once part of Rogue squadron?
Teva is a solid charater, While unsuspecting he probably is a top tier pilot. I personally don't care about the Asian representation part here I assume all races are part of Star Wars. I think he plays the role of the solid heroic yet quite character doing the right thing no matter what.
I hope we eventually actually get to see his combat skills. Would be nice seeing him down TIEs in his X-wing:)
Pathetic.
It would be awesome to see some TIEs down Tevas Xwing, I agree
If they ever do a Rogue Squadron show or movie, Teva definitely needs to ride shotgun with Wedge.
Teva is an awesome character. It's an example of what you get when you write a character the right way.
I dont like him at all personally. What about him rings a chord with you?
One of the best reoccurring characters in this era of Star Wars
I’m totally with you, he’s been awesome. At first I thought his role in the show was going to be comic relief, but happy to be wrong.
All it takes is a dedicated man. 🙌
I never thought I’d love Teva so much, but he’s such a good character.
When I’m a lot older he’ll make a good cosplay haha
Teva needs to be protected at all costs
Carson likely was a very fit soldier when he was in his 20's This may come as a shocker to some but its not uncommon for vets to get heavier when they arent in their prime or still serving...but their skills and knowledge remain. It would be foolish not to call/accept someone like Carson back to service, knowledgeable fighters with experience and likely leadership potetial would have been a big asset given the nature of the Galaxy and the Imperial's army (where most of the career leaders would be)
I turned 51 today. I don't look or feel old at all. Team Carson! Love the character.
50s the new 30 lets goo!
Your joy comes through in this video. I could tell you respect this actor and love this character.
Real talk
Where's my Carson Teva action figure?!
I love Carson Teva. He’s a good dude trying to do the right thing in an imperfect system. I relate to that as a youth housing worker in a LARGE nonprofit.
I mean, maybe not, but he’s the hero we need and I love Carson since the start. I hope we see more of him.
I love this man, absolute bro.
"Thunder Thighs" 🤣🤣🤣 You're killin me Allan !!!
u got the best star wars commentary bro! love tuning in
Carson Teva is the Phil Coulson of the Star Wars universe
You take that back. Don't disrespect Coulson like that.
i have been so happy to see him as a recurring character in these shows. He's one of my favorite side characters.
Wonderful, superior analysis!
I personally want a mini-series just centred on the New Republic Rangers. Captain Carson Teva is awesome.
Honesty never thought much about him but you’re right, he is the sprit of what the new republic should be. Helping people however he can is what troops actually need to do, not that it’s easy doing what you think is right when you have different orders.
Carson looks alot like your typical old school veteran who's still in the game. Older, tireder, still in the game, still kicking ass.
Carson feels to me as the Modern Wedge replacement, Carson like Wedge is a veteran of the civil war, who is not affraid of bending rules to do what needs to be done. Wedge is my favourite legends character, and Carson is fast becoming my faveourite of the latest batch of shows.
I love the respect this video gives this underrated character!
He is a truly legendary character
He’s in the top three of modern Disney characters.
1: Hondo Ohnaka
2: Jimmy Woo
3: Carson “THAT GUY FROM MANDO!!!!!”
If you could, would you trade him for a canon Darth Carson?
That’s cool, ain’t no one named John in Star Wars. That’s why I ride for Obi-“Juan” Kenobi lol.
Top notch video from Alan!!
Captain Teva taught Wedge Antilles everything he knows about flying starfighters.
Seriously Teva is my favorite reoccurring character in the new shows
I've liked Carson from the start.
Captain Teva is just doing what's right and he helps in so many ways
I first saw this actor in Kims convenience on Netflix and when I saw him in mandalorian with no accent my jaw dropped cause that was the only the second thing I had ever seen him in. He does such a good job though.
You thought the accent was real?🤣
@@kevinzhang6623 no……..? Where did I say that?
This is the truest thing ever
It's Carson Teva's galaxy. Mando, Fett, and Ahsoka, just live in it. lol
He's popped up in every series at very critical points. I think he might have flown in Rogue Squadron with Luke. He's in close proximity with Leia. He's a bigger part to this and it's starting to come together. Long live Carson Teva!
Needs his own series the best
The Carson Teva actor is well known for being a huge star wars nut, it was Jon Favreau I think who hired him because he loved Kim’s convenience.
Dear LEGO,
We need a Carson Teva minifig if not a whole set featuring his X-Wing.
That made him so happy we hear that he can't wait to see Simu and tell him I said that
16:13 Grand Moff Gideon and the Hux family used Project Necromancer to create Snoke
I hope he comes out as an action figure !
Carson is the type of person that can stop a fight without even having a fight in the first place
"How do you do self defense?"
The idiots will say "fight"
The cowards will say "run"
But carson would say "talk"
Thanks!
Thank you!
Carson Teva should have his own show. I’d watch a procedural investigation following him
