Took me some time, but finished the build of the Schumacher CAT L1 Evo 4wd buggy. Pickup this kit at: www.discountrcstore.com/Schum... #Schumacher #CATL1Evo
Love the video , maintenance wise this car is really not for everyone , eager to have your drive review for this car. good luck Razor . I suspect that you will be building the new losi 4wd car when it comes out , Most of your subscribers are waiting for this I'm sure. Keep up the good work.
It's a beautiful Piece of kit my friend, very nice build, can't wait to see it in action , great info to, really enjoyed every minute of this video 👍🥰😎👍
I can't believe you found the build difficult. Schumacher builds are an absolute pleasure with no fitment issues ever. Any time I think they left out a part, it turns up on the floor. This car is incredibly stable to drive. The belts really don't have any issues and dirt is not a problem.
Kevin Wentzel sounds like never has to be changed to rarely. 2 bent turnbuckles, 2 missing o-rings, and a shock cartridge that doesn’t fit over the shaft.
I know they tend to have good handling but it’s tough knowing that the ability to get parts quickly is limited. I guess you’ll need spares before heading to the track!! I wish you luck with it and will like to see it on track.
Hey man I've got the same v3.1 esc and something that you can do if that plastic case breaks on you or if you just want that nice aluminum feel is get the case for the xr10 160 amp. They're kind of hard to find, but I found mine on monaco rc. Took a bit to ship but got here no problem and now my 100 amp looks like one of the sleek sexy 160 amp aluminum esc's
Those m4 thumb screws won’t strip at all. If you race in loose dirt you can remove the rear belt cover so dirt goes straight out the back. The coating on the shafts is Kashima, the same as the option shock bodies. The o rings on the hexes are very durable, never broken one in the last 5 years. All carbon parts in the older kits KC KD KF2 L1 had green protective film on. Worst part for sure was the gluing the diff gear flange on, been doing it for years so no big deal
Razor RC we’ve had a look about at some of the kits and there is quite a lot to choose from! We don’t mind the difficulty in the build. We’re just trying to figure out the style for us 🤔
When u do a review. I would appreciate can one of those vs d418 and b74 and tlr. I have d418 gonna probably put 2 418 together for the kid so we can race each other now. I love being different I dont mind carrying 4 different parts bin at all.
I just built this kit, They didn't include the 2.5mm tiny screws for the carbon plates for the electronics at the end of the build. I ended up using the bleeder screws instead even though they are button not flat flush style. Also I had 2 matching carbon fiber -pieces left over that there is no mention of them. They almost look like they may be wrenches to help with rod ends but I dont think there would be 2... Did you have these left over and if so do you know what they are for? I know this vid is old but maybe you can remember
I'm trying to find a 1/8 team associated truggy RC8T3.1E , I see on RC tech you have sold some things...i have been trying for awyle to buy a used rtr/artr obviously wo Tran/rec what ya got in the closet lol
@@RazorRC love to see the collection ! It's a really cool part of the hobby. I get all excited showing some of my stuff off , especially when someone's really interested. Lol
Belt driven buggy's are starting to become a thing of the past witch isn't really a surprise, they still by far the most common set up for on road, but there's just to many parts for of road, I was also under the impression that the belts were prone to slipping with the newer high powered motor's .
@@LittlefootAdventures I'm not saying they don't exist, I'm just saying that you don't seem to be as popular as they once were, I've never had one myself but from what I've seen and read is that belt slippage can be a problem.
@@tonyallen8626 I understand what your saying although my team sct 4x4 is from like 2012 it is one belt not 3. I have it power up with a 4.5 turn motor. Belt drive definitely not a thing no more for offroad. I would probably never see one at my track unless I picked up myself. It all team associated techno and very little tlr and my 1 hb and 2 yokomo. So different is good in book gives you something different to talk about than the team and techno breaking axles.
@@LittlefootAdventures I i haven't seen or heard anything about ether of those manufacturer's having problems with braking axles, now if I do I won't be as surprised. And there were have the benefits of talking about something different, that been said, belt stretching and then starting to slip isn't an uncommon conversation..
@@tonyallen8626 I have seen the tekno break and the b74 break. Right at the wheel pin spot. Now I'm wondering if it from over tighten the nut maybe. It seem to happen to the same 2 people at my track.
Oh boy im a experience kit builder but man that looks like a pain to build lol. Never really been a fan of triple belts to much bearings and parts to fail for offroad.
Kenneth Jeffries only 2 belts, this car on astro or carpet is a missile, well worth the agro of greasing some side gears once a month. I also run a 5.5 and not broken a belt ever, I know people that race indoors with a 4.5 no problem
Got my kit ready to go and have marked up the manual as per your review👍
Thanks ... and keep the 1/10th racer reviews coming in 2021
Great tips on the diff. This is somewhat not clear but all good now as I’m building a new cat L1 Evo
Good review, I just completed a build myself. The buggy is eye candy!
Great video, looks like a cool buggy!

great looking build. Wonderful video, very informative.

I used to see CAT XLS cars regularly racing in mud and never had a problem :) This looks super nice though.
this car is beautiful and heavy
Great video 👍👍

Another great review.
You need one of those long boss motor pinion :)
according to USPS they were delivered to my house Saturday, but never arrived. I think the guy forgot, hopefully it shows up tomorrow!

Nice... I’m thinking about getting a kit to help teach my boy how to build.
RC Carnage nice! I recommend something 2wd without a lot of aluminum. Will be easier to build.

I remember those, I think they're wrenches to help with the shocks or something, don't worry about them.

what are your thoughts on the new losi dp pro and tt 4 pro?
Maxx Davidson should be good trucks, they fixed all of the complaints I had with the original Tenacity
@@RazorRC how competitive would they be if they were raced

I still run a belt drive sc 10sct 4x4 factory belt no slipping yet so. Cant wait to see the drive reviews for it.

It looks like Schumacher don't make it easy for their customers!!
I'm surprised how poor this car is. Antiquated drive train, bent parts, missing parts, what happened to Schumacher ?
