Great video but it doesn't make sense that your comparing a camera that is around $250-400 to another that is 2,900 dollars. It's an unfair comparison. Especially when the t5i came out in 2013 while the Eos 5 came out in 2018. I do agree that the t5i shouldn't be used for professional work. It should be used as a beginner camera or camera for personal use.
The T5/T5i are great cameras for static photos. The only downfall is the low light abilities and movement. It can't handle a lot of motion for video, so slow steady movements only. As for light.. ehh.. You can always buy a nice wide aperture prime lens for it, that would help a lot. But it's iso is pretty "meh". It's a fantastic learner's camera though, the best results you can get out of it are going to be manual adjustments. It forces you to "get good".. Honestly think the guy who made this video was spoiled by high end cameras and is misjudging the Rebel, its an amazing entry level camera to this day.
I bought my T5i in 2013. It's now 2024. The shutter button on mine (and others') jams/won't depress now, and has in the past. I took it to a camera repairman, and he couldn't find anything wrong with it. Doing some internet research, it seems all you can do is use the live view and the touch screen. I did take 5 photography classes in a filmmaking course, but I'm not a pro.
@@briizcustoms9543 the lower f stop the better. so a 1.4 or 1.8 f stop will allow more light in then a 2.8 f stop. thus giving you a better low light performance.
Funny! you are comparing a crop sensor, low budget camera with a full frame camera costing almost three times more. So, you decided to make a funny video with the EOS R, you just got. Nice start, mate!
The hard truth is this man, when it comes to photography and videography, all equipment is expensive and you get what you pay for. You won't be able to get good pictures without good equipment. No, equipment isn't everything, but it does play a big factor in the quality that you get. If you want good low light, get yourself a lens with a low aperture (preferably f2.8) and a nice full frame sensor camera, not like the Canon t5i which has an APS-C sensor. As for the T5i, I'm gonna release a new video following up, so ask as many questions as you can!
The t5i is a great little camera, using it for RUclips is fine when you have some nice lights to help it along. 1080p 24fps is more than enough for basic work, most RUclips videos are filmed in 24fps anyway. Get a great lens for it and you are golden, you have FD lenses you can adapt to it also Vintage lenses you can also adapt to it. The biggest thing with the t5i is the ability to install magic latern and get 2.5k RAW footage to edit can take this camera to the next level for cheap. Not to mention with Magic Latern you will also get access to a bunch of new things like focus peaking as well. For my RUclips use, I use both the Sony a6400 and Canon t5i, also consider the t5i for a cheap webcam if you plan on streaming ^_^.
Is it really "fair" to compare a camera with an APS-C Sensor from 2013 and a FullFrame mirrorless of late 2018? Or does it really make Sense!? Absolutly NOT. The wider angle only depends in FullFrame vs APS-C! And modern APS-C kameras like the 90D allow much higher ISO. This video only means "content " but it's no help at all to decide wether the camera is good after the years or not.
New to this style of camera. Can this be mounted like a go pro mount? Or does it have the quarter 20 screw for tripod only. Please give me quick rundown on options I have for mounting
I found one for 250$ which is my budget and I am going to use it for bank fishing RUclips videos (so non professional just for fun) and a lot of good photography for portrait and nature. Would this be good for me?
Can mean several things. 1) Your camera may be overheating 2) Your SD Card doesn't have a fast enough write speed. 3) Your card may be full Those are the main three things that I can think of. I'd say that you'd probably fix that problem really fast if you get yourself an SD Card with a faster write speed.
Hey man, great vid🔥. What camera do you recommend for a beginner trying to start photography and videography for a business? Idk which one is the best in the canon rebel line to get .
Very late response now, sorry about that! I'd say for beginners, a t7i would probably be the best. Don't be afraid to invest in yourself, because others won't invest in you if you don't take that leap with professional equipment.
Question for you man. So this year I've taken my film making a lot more serious and started to use my gimbal to get more cinematic shots etc. After a few shoots already, I feel as if its time to move on from my T5i... Still consider myself a rookie but I'm debating on getting the Sony A7III Question would be, you think I should just go for the upgrade & not look back or you think I should master the t5i... my concern is that I've always used it for as you said, simple youtube vids.. but this year I've been doing different types of projects such as music videos, product promotion and even a piano course... time for the A7iii ?! Haha curious to hear your thoughts and great vid.
From what I'm hearing is that you are wanting to go professional and make some cash. Which in this case, my answer is an absolute resounding get the new camera and don't look back. The T5i is not good enough for professional work. You gotta get the good stuff, to make the good stuff. Speaking of courses...Well, you may see something from me in terms of that ;)
@@TheWillTran I would not say that I have seen professional photographers over the past 30 years and they were not using the latest 2019 cameras they were using old cameras and their work is phenomenal no one should ever buy the hype you need the latest most expensive cameras to be a professional photographer because guess what in 2 years there is going to be something bigger and better and you will eventually have to believe the work you did 5 years ago was not professional lol
The T3i blows T5i out of the water in regards to handling noise and low light for photos and video and T3i has the most intuitive layout I have ever used,it's just an ease no b/s camera that just lets you focus on your photos and not your settings.I know the diffrence because I owned both, the T5i is a chore and not fun to use.
I think Magic Lantern would help you monitor ISO better, but not necessarily "make it better." If that makes sense. I never used Magic Lantern because I didn't exactly need any of it. Plus I don't want to risk bricking my camera haha.
Yet another review based on video. SAY IT IS A VIDEO REVIEW!!! You are obviously bnot a photographer but a videographer. And you have to SCREAM at some points? Ridiculous.

I got one for mainly just decent pictures and just messing around and so far I’m pretty pleased with it for the price I paid

When it comes to better performance in low light, it’s all about dat lens yo. The kit lens unfortunately may disappoint.
What’s the best lens to use with it?

Bro as a skit channel I was thinking of buying one. Thanks for the review.
This video helped a ton, thank you
Can I use it for a home podcast with a minimum of four people
I have it and I use it in my photo booth. It’s like you said it truly depends on what you are using it for. I have the R for everything else.
