My husband's Aunt Carol passed away about 5 years ago. She LOVED Rod Stewart. Every time we hear one of his songs, we immediately think of her, and one of us usually says "hi Aunt Carol". She was such a neat ole lady. I could talk to her for hours, about literally anything. That was something i never had with my own mother. RIP ❤️

This song is nothing short of being absolutely beautiful. Rod Stewart is a music legend. Right now I’m actually in love with someone who is with someone else and this song fills my heart with emotion. I’m listening to it with tears in my eyes. Rod is right the feeling is emotional torture.
This song has a special meaning to me because it reminds me of the relationship I had with my daughter's father who is passed away from cancer a few years ago. We had a 6 year on again off again relationship with my getting pregnant after we had broken up for the last time but I can remember how much it hurt when he would keep coming around even when he was living with another woman and he would just break my heart over and over again until I finally got it through my head that he was never going to change. We ended up being much better friends and co parents than we ever did as a couple. Probably because he couldn't hurt me anymore. But every single time I hear this song it takes me back to my 20's all over again and I can feel the pain like it was just yesterday.
