I too used to listen to certain music during my "black hole" years. Ultimately psychotherapy and later medication pulled me back to the life I had left. Now, age 77, all's well. So don't ever give up; there is help - you just have to ask for it.

This song got me through so many dark times as a child. I would listen to it over and over on my walkman at night not really understanding what it was about but the emotion in George's stirred something in my soul. It comforted me to know that real love and emotion of that magnitude could be possible. One of the few voices that brings me to tears. Forever missed.

But I discovered George Michael this year thanks to Mariah Carey's cover of this song... I was literally just becoming so obsessed with this man. For the past few weeks I started watching all of his videos and learning his songs.... including the stuff from his Wham! days... I was even brave enough to play his music for the first time in the car with other people...literally the day before he died. As an inspiring singer-songwriter, he had become one of the only male vocalists and writers who really inspired me. I just knew that I'd get the chance to tell him how much he meant to me.
