Obviously you are a good dad and would lay your life on the line for them. Not all single dads have as good of success in bringing them up. I'm not a parent but I feel single dads don't get get the recognition they deserve.
I have an ex who told me once, that he couldn't listen to Rod, bc it made him feel some type of way. We'll, I grew up on Rod Stewart, bc my mom was a huge fan of his. Lost her when I was 22. So, what did I do? I played Rods music til my speakers bled, right in front of him, for the abuse he always put me through 😂
One of the sweetest, most touching, and inspirational songs of all time. A father's wish for his young son. But whatever road you choose, I'm right behind you win or lose... breathtaking. I saw Rod at an outdoor stadium concert back in '94 ... awesome show ... great memories !
I lost a dear sweet friend in college following a car accident. At her funeral the priest used these lyrics in his sermon to talk about her as she is "Forever Young", and she was very kind and giving, so this is what she wished for us all. I think of her every time I hear this song. God keep you in His loving arms Judy-miss you!
your friend will be resurrected according to the words of Christ. Ask Jehovah's Witnesses about this. They will help you find out the truth about the dead
Rod was my mother's fav too, I lost her 08-29-'90 SO I totally GET YOU. I hope you are doing better right now. It never "goes away", It does however gets easier. God Bless. 👍😊👍 ❤❤❤
Wholeheartedly dedicated to my son's Liam and Luca. May the good Lord be with you down every road you take. I love you beyond life itself. The both of you make me gleam with pride.
Few people comprehend how deep a parent's love is. God is described as our "Heavenly Father". As a Father of four, I understand only a fraction of His love. If my love is this strong as an imperfect man, how much more a heavenly Father with perfect love and affection. His love is so great, He sent His son to rescue us and the only way to be truly forever young. ❤
I’m 59 and my life is apparently going to end sooner than I expected but what a ride it was! Keep that spark of youth alive in your heart and you will be fine.
They played this song at my son’s preschool graduation…. Grown man crying his eyes out! I still tear up a bit when I hear this song… Great tune, with a great message!
Lost my son to brain cancer at age 9 in March this year. #foreveryoung. All of those in here dealing with the loss of your special person, my heart is with you. Music brings humanity together. Much love to each of you
Awww 🥺 my heart is with you. I lost a son 32 years ago, doesn't feel like it was that long ago. I have 5 other children who are all grown now and this song was dedicated to them years ago.
Brings a tear to my eye every time I hear it. Loved ones stay "forever young" in our heart. Thank you for this touching and powerful song, Rod Stewart.
My dad was dying of cancer and I was working night shifts , he would call me anytime in the night just to talk , then at the end of it he would sing this song for me . The morning he died I made it home 5 000 miles to see him and we talked and watch the sun rise and he told me to always listen to this song when I'm over thinking 🥺💔 I miss u daddy
He did the best he could to comfort you and prepare you for the loss. What a loving father. I know he is very proud of you. Now you live life for you both. Hang in there. You will be with him again one day.🌹
Whenever this song starts, I get teary already. But when I scroll down the comments, I literally cry. I dedicate this song to everyone that has has ever lost someone close. #Forever_young.
My parents and grandparents gave me this album as a graduation gift (along with a $500 check) . I’ll always cherish them for this song. Money comes and goes but to be truly loved no matter how many times you stubble and fall, that’s a gift that can’t be bought.
I lost my dad a week before Thanksgiving this year and my sister reminded me of this song---it was on the home videos my dad made of us growing up. Perfectly encapsulates his memory! Love you dad!
My dear friend we never lose anyone they are always with us in our hearts and they were called home for a reason and we will always be reunited when the time comes
My dad use to sing this song to me when I was younger child. I played this song at his funeral 😢. I haven't heard this song in almost 8 years. TODAY I'm finally listening to it again. ❤😢
May the good Lord be with you Down every road that you roam And may sunshine and happiness Surround you when you're far from home And may you grow to be proud, dignified and true And do unto others as you'd have done to you Be courageous and be brave And in my heart you'll always stay Forever young, forever young Forever young, forever young May good fortune be with you May your guiding light be strong Build a stairway to Heaven With a prince or a vagabond And may you never love in vain And in my heart you will remain Forever young, forever young Forever young, forever young Forever young, forever young, yeah And when you finally fly away I'll be hoping that I served you well For all the wisdom of a lifetime No one can ever tell But whatever road you choose I'm right behind you, win or lose Forever young, forever young Forever young, forever young Forever young, forever young For, forever young, forever young
What a beautiful song😍. I am shocked for words....that I never knew or heard of this song all these decades that I have known Rod Stewart. Its simply unbelievable. Beautiful Beautiful!❤
I was born in 85. This was me and my dads song. He always held me the same loving way. He passed when I was 12 and everytime I hear this I just picture being that kid loved by a father everyone said was larger than life
You will be fine... he made sure of that... the love of a Father, takes a man through his tough times.. always displaying self love before anything ..except God and his offspring.
I was born in 86 , my dad died when I was 12 , my mom is currently on her death bed... life is but a blink of an eye my man ! 😢.. cherish every moment people! We are not promised Tomorrow
I played this song at my wife’s funeral. She passed away in March 2012 at 45 from cancer. She loved Rod Stewart and we saw him live in concert about a year before she died. It would be our last “date” ever. She was in a great deal of pain and had a feeding tube but I could tell that she really enjoyed Rod’s (and Stevie Nick’s) performance. I love you Lorraine and miss you more every single day. Your legacy lives on in the four wonderful children you brought into this world. You will truly be forever young in my heart.
My dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s at 56 years old this year. I listen to this song and picture my dad being Rod Stewart, holding me, telling me about life and teaching me what he can’t anymore and it gives me hope. My dad will be forever young and I will always be proud of him no matter what the future holds. I love you dad, and thank you for everything.
I am sorry to hear couldn’t image having a parent go through Alzheimer’s that young. My Grandfather George had Alzheimer’s by the time he was 70 and it progressively got worse until his death at age 84 in 2014.
The lyrics of this song says it all....the things that are deep inside and unsaid.....it clears the clutter of all the arguments and misunderstandings which unfortunately takes center stage and adds to more. In fact, this is the perfect song and a healing one......for both parent/s and son / daughter who are going though a rough phase in communicating with each other. Thanks Rod Stewart, you have written a timeless masterpiece, and you will be forever blessed for having come out with this song which would have healed so, so many hearts !
This song helps me understand the love my father had for me even though we never got the chance to have a deep heart to heart before he passed, due to issues that seem so small now, as I age and become wiser about all of the "unsayable" things.
I took a video with my daughter in my arms when she was 6 months old, this song was playing in the background...today she's 30 and in her last year of residency to become a doctor...I'm a very proud father...
Hi Mary Good evening. I hope my comment didn't sound as a form of privacy invasion your comment tells of a wonderful woman with a beautiful heart which led me to comment I don't normally write in the comment section but I think you deserve this complement. If you don’t mind can we be friends? Thanks God bless you….🌺🌺🌺
When i graduated 8th grade, one of the teachers at my school sang this in honor of everyone graduating. Apparently, my dad, who is 43, had this sung at his graduation by the same teacher. It makes me so happy hearing this.
My little boy loved dancing to Rod music which played in my home 24/7. When he passed away at 18 months we played this song at his burial. We call it Markies song. Miss him much. This song comforts me . God bless Markus and Rod always!
My mom played me an my brothers this when we was young she died today I love you mommy for ever and always in for serving us well you don’t have to worry about that because you did it r.i.p mom
My condolescences,a year later, may God bless and grant you the strenght and peace to go on. Moms are one of the,if not the most precious treasures that love us unconditionally,God saw man and knew man needed a love that reflected His own love for us,and God created mothers.
I play this song for my boys all the time even tho they're so little. I think it perfectly encapsulates every loving parents wishes for their children. My only two prayers are they outlive me and I get to see em thru to adulthood. Nothing else matters. ❤
and at same time, these are such great tunes, and eventually mike and the mechanics the living years...... and some iron maiden, but damn, living years? wow, but also, my children wouldn't sleep unless they got Goodnight my angel, from billy joel, on recorder or voice, or whistle..... my god, how music molds us...... how.......... am playing goodnight my angel now, and my son behind me is humming it....... and man, he has a beautiful voice.........ever since the could understand speech.... and even at almost 15 he is singing when he thinks i don't hear...... i hear it as soon.. my God, i love them so.
My Dad who has now passed on sang this song to me when I was a little boy, and I have never forgotten or stopped listening to it. He still lives on because his song now lives on in his son's heart!
"Forever Young" May the good Lord be with you Down every road you roam And may sunshine and happiness Surround you when you're far from home And may you grow to be proud Dignified and true And do unto others As you'd have done to you Be courageous and be brave And in my heart, you'll always stay Forever young, forever young Forever young, forever young May good fortune be with you May your guiding light be strong Build a stairway to Heaven With a prince or a vagabond And may you never love in vain And in my heart you will remain Forever young, forever young Forever young, forever young Forever young, forever young Yeah And when you finally fly away I'll be hoping that I served you well For all the wisdom of a lifetime No one can ever tell But whatever road you choose I'm right behind you, win or lose Forever young, forever young Forever young, forever young Forever young, forever young For-Forever young, forever young
I still get the goosebumps I felt when playing (and singing along to my son) today he is 27 and we still experience the electricity between us when listening (playing to him as a baby) this incredible song.
My son just turned 15 and just passed away from a short, but hard battle with stage 4 cancer. I find it amazing how many grieving parents are here in the comments. I think we all feel the lyrics, in my heart youll stay forever young. To my sweet boy. Cameren Lane Hebden 04/02/2009 - 04/22/2024
I am so sorry to hear that. Your post breaks my heart. You are not alone. Stay strong. You will get brought this. Kindest regards and best wishes to you.
Ojalá puedas traducir mi respuesta. Mis respetos y mi solidaridad contigo. Pido que recibas toda la fuerza necesaria de aquí en todos tus días por venir. Solo eso. Paz. 😔
Ditto! My sister, Della, dedicate this song to me for one of my milestone birthdays! Reminds me of some lyrics I heard to a song recently; “we are getting older and the YOUNG MUST DO THE SAME”!
Check out, "Simply Man" by Lynard Skynyrd; will be Mother/ Son dance @ my oldest son's WEDDING in May. "FOREVER YOUNG", will be my youngest son"s when it's his time; also our Graduation Song (91')! PLEASE pray, I can stop CRYING, as I'm crying now😂😂😂
My son n I used to dance in my parents living room n I said to him this will b ur Wedding song for us.. that was when he was as 16 n the day of his wedding wat sons do u have for us Maybe m u know I Broke down only cause so many things we went thru 💛❤️
I always wanted to dedicate this song to my 2 sons. Unfortunately my youngest son died in an accident in Feb 2019 age 23. In Oct 2019 me and my eldest son danced to it on the "mother son dance". Love you both...always and forever ❤ RIP my sweet Chris ❤
We lost my dad over ten years ago. One gem of wisdom he told me while raising his finger to his forehead, he said “staying young up here is the easy part, but it’s the most important part.” He meant it. As a teenager, our house was the place all my friends wanted to hang out because my dad did the same stuff we did; he was one of the biggest kids I knew and we loved him for it. As long as he was physically able, he hiked with us in the woods teaching us the names of the trees along the way. Sadly his old body gave out, but he was always “forever young”. My brothers and I have all chosen different paths in life, but one thing we all have in common is our inherited love for life. I feel bad for the people who grow old before their time mentally. I’m in my 60s now but my wife says she still has one kid at home…one big one, but she wouldn’t want me any other way.
Wonderful words, they remind me of my dad. He was a farmer and then a soldier. He was tough but also a loving father. He taught me how to play rugby and how to surf. He guided me along the right path in life. I loved him and miss him. It would be nice to be forever young. God Bless
My daddy passed away not too long ago! He was special to my sisters, and I 😢 our mom passed when we were little. So he raised us on his on 3 girls. He always said this was his song to us❤❤❤
My mom played this song and sung it and told me it was her prom song she passed from covid this year and I hope she knows that the music she sang and loved is now my favorite music too thank you momma for the memories and music taste I’ll play it bc u made me forever young
The laws of physics dictate that Energy Never Dies... Though u miss her: She’s not as gone as u think. The stars come out at night for a reason... And even when it rains, that’s just her way of making sure everything under her keeps growing....🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
I am so, so sorry for your loss, and you have my deepest condolences. I am glad, though, that you have the song as a tie to your Mom. Hold onto that, come what may. And here's, one day, to a Happy Reunion. Warm Regards and Best Wishes, -Ken
My father passed away September 1987. I was so lost. When I heard this song, I heard dad. I still do. It pulled me out of the darkest place I've ever been.
Lost my dad November 1982 to bone cancer ,I almost did November 2018,80% blockage and a mini stroke, this song and several others remind how lucky I am
"I wasnt there that morning, when my father passed away, I didn't get to tell him all the things I had to say...." When my father passed in 2011, I really listened as I am right now and the emotions, memories, and tears of pain and joy just come out. Never forget that line. The power of music.
@@kevinanderson6792 at one point early in his career Rod Stewart only listened to Sam Cooke for years it was his only listening t any music It was years he said.he burned Sam Cooke into his brain and it sure paid off wow
I would sing this song to my baby when she was little while rocking her in my arms. It brings tears to my eyes cause the words are so powerful an I feel every word in my heart for her. She’s 14 today….time goes by so fast!!!😭 happy birthday 🎉🎁🎂🎈 my babygirl!!! I love you so much!!!! My forever young!!!💜💜💜💜
I feel this. I’m singing it to my 6 month old son right now as I play with him and he’s smiling. This song perfectly sums up how I feel about him and what I want for him in life.
Every time I hear this song, I think of my dad(who passed away in 2000), and my older brother (who passed away in 2007). I miss both of the greatly. When my mom passed in '17, I was fortunate enough to have a wonderful wife, and music, to help me cope. Thanks Rod, for the memories, and all the other great bands and musicians, as well.
Some songs you hear when they first come out and you like them, but, they're mainly just a song played over & over again on the radio. Then, years later, you hear it again and you can't believe how much more meaningful it is. Some songs, like wine, improve with age or maybe it's our own maturity that improves the song. Either way, Forever Young is one of the best songs ever written. Thank you, Rod Stewart.
I know what you mean, you go through the journey of the song later on in ur life. Makes you come back to it with a whole new perspective. I could apply what you said also to Iris - Goo Good dolls. Toy soldiers- Martika. and Both sides now- Joni Mitchell. Many more examples for others I'm sure.
My big brother died in 1990 in car wreck shortly after turning 16. I was just 13. He was a really popular kid for all the right reasons. Everybody just liked him. It turned out to be a really big funeral bc of the outpouring support of the community. My mother had them play Forever Young. Now, every time I hear this song on the radio bc of the distinct intro, my heart skips a beat and I get choked up. It's a beautiful song.
This is for my brother that passed in 1997 he was 8 and I was 9. I’m now almost 35 and my son is 16, I can’t imagine losing my son, I’m so sorry for the loss of your Brother, sending peace and love your way❤
@@andreacrouseslim1879 I've been there. I'm 45 in the parking lot thinking about my brother and crying as you posted this. Not a day goes by I don't think of him. So sorry for you. Nobody knows how deeply painful it is.
@@NewJerusalem77 I’m sorry your crying, I cried as well today, I thought of this song when I seen his initial in my tattoo, J for Joshua, he will be missed, as will your big brother and I hope you find peace. It’s not easy knowing our brothers are gone, wishing they were here with us, to hug to talk to thru hard times. They are with us though and watching over us, making sure we are okay. Thank you for your message back , I hope you are okay
I love this song because it was fashionable when I was 12 or 13 years old and I told myself that I would always be young and cheerful as long as I lived. Today I'm 49 years old and I still think that way 😜 This song has always been an icon in my life.!!! I like being Forever Young.!! And that's the attitude we should have for the rest of our lives !!!. 😍 Greetings from Venezuela 🇻🇪.
My dad died 18 years ago at 37 when I was 3 years old,I don’t remember him at all. His favorite singer was Rod and, thanks to him,my mom became a fan too so I grew up with Rod’s music. This song is beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time because I think about the moments I couldn’t share with him and although my mom gave me everything there’s a “hole” that nobody can replace or complete. It’s been a while since cancer took his life but as I get older,it hurts more.
@@jameshama Hello! Well, fortunately I’m okay. Of course I miss him every day and I always think about him too, it’s hard sometimes because I wish I could see him or talk to him as everything I know about my dad is because of my mom. It’s a weird feeling really, when I see pictures of him I feel so sad and can’t help crying but at the same time he’s like a stranger to me because I don’t know him basically. I’m fine and I have a happy life but he’s always on my mind. We have to “move on” after all!
I love this song, i told my daughter when she graduated from high school it was my song to her, she's 34 now where has time gone. Thanks Rod for sharing :) love from Kentucky U.S.A
I will always dedicate this song to my beloved grandfather. The one who always did everything he could to make sure I was happy when he was alive. He would always play rod stewart and it got to the point where I could only fall asleep if I was listening to Rod Stewart. Otherwise I couldn’t sleep. Unfortunately in 2008 he had a severe stroke, and he was never the same after that. He couldn’t walk properly, couldn’t drive, etc. In February of 2018, I lost him due to his dementia and Alzheimer’s. He was 70 years old. To this day I still listen to Rod stewart to sleep when I have rough days because it reminds me of my grandfather and it helps my pain go away🕊
Oh my gosh...these comments. They’re all filled with so much love n a haunting sadness...so heartfelt. It’s the kind of sadness that you can only feel bc you loved the person so much. I hope that whoever reads this is having a nice day and if you’re sad, that you will have a better day ❤️ This song was a hit when I was in the 6th grade..I’m now 45 and for some reason, I was yearning to hear the words ...they mean so much more now than how it made you feel, during your days of youth. I realize more than ever how life goes by so quickly n that our children grow up even quicker, n that sadly, our parents are getting “old”... Much love and healing to everyone who’s here bc they’re missing someone they loved ❤️
I dedicate this to my aunt Teresa who has always been a lifelong rod Stewart fan and she is currently suffering from terminal cancer so I felt this would be a lovely uplifting song for her and her family's comfort. 🙏💜
My heart goes out to you. I feel you, and I can understand you miss her so well. The only comfort I can give is to say that the missing stays, but in time you are going to cherish the warm memories you made together. They will comfort you and help you get back on track, by taking baby steps and living one day at the time. Two years ago I lost the love of my life, after being together for over 40 years. I was totally devastated, felt so cold and empty. Never expected to be a widow at 64. Now, 2 years further on the track, I can say life had its way of healing. Music and memories were my greatest comfort, next to my children ofcourse, and my grandchildren. I hope you have some great people around you to comfort you. Dear Dan, I hope that you have some good people around you and I wish you all that is good in this world.
That kid Rod is holding is very lucky. My Dad hated the sight of me for absolutely no reason. Im 61 now and never had children. I sure wish I woulda had a father that cared like Rod. Jesus has kept me sane through it all. I always loved this song.👍
You are certainly blessed to know the Lord! Take comfort in the fact that the rejection you felt - He felt. He died for us exchanging His righteousness for our sin. The great exchange! And His love for you is immeasurable.
Watched/listened to Forever Young one morning with my dad many years ago. It stuck with us both, and I never forgot it. Dad died a few days ago, following an illness. Thanks for everything, Dad. I'm in my 50s and he was in his 80s, but he left me WAY too soon.
Missing my little boy at the moment as I've split with his mum and she wont let me see him. I play this song and think about my little boy wishing I could hold him to cheer me up and stop the tears
Carl Brooks Go see a lawyer. The mom doesnt have the right to deprive you of your rights to see your son. Be there while your son is growing up. Make memories your son will cherish forever.
❤🎼❤ Sir Rod Stewart...❤🎼❤ ARTISTA GIGANTESCO... INCOMPARÁVEL!! Quanta generosidade em uma música... Impossível ser mais linda!! Rod Stewart é extremamente generoso.... E com certeza, ele é e também será UM LINDO JOVEM PARA SEMPRE.... FOREVER YOUNG!! Amo e admiro demais!!... ❤🎼❤
I was a single mom and when my two sons left home to start their lives, this was the song I sent with them !!!! Any time over the years I’ve heard the song I knew at some point through the song that one of my sons needed me. I was always right!!!!!! Now it’s November 2020 and I just gave it to my oldest grandson. This song speaks my heart. Live it and love it!!!!!🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

My Grandpa and I used to always listen to Rod Stewart in the car while we were driving and, as a kid, I could never understand why. Now that I’m older, hearing this song always brings tears to my eyes. It reminds me of some of the best times of my life/childhood and the amazing moments shared with my Grandpa. He was my best friend. I miss him every second of every day
This was the song for my oldest son when he left the state. Unbeknownst to either of us we asked this song to be played for the mother son dance at his wedding. I found a poster on line years ago with the lyrics. I purchased it and had it framed. After visiting him, right before leaving for home, I hung it on an empty space of the wall. For my birthday, that same son bought me ticket to see Rods concert this past August. As always, he sang, Forever Young. So meaningful. Melts my heart ❤️

I would always sing this song to my daughter when she was little. And, 2 days ago, she graduated from high school and is headed to college in the fall. Now, it just hits this mommas heart different 😪💛😪
I love this song too much. It reminds me of my Mom, she died very young at age 40. I am 42 myself, when I was approaching 40 yrs I was so scared and worried that I will die before 40yrs or at 40 yrs like my Mom. I shared my fear with few people and I prayed against that spirit of fear. From that day I declared that no premature death will happen to me or my loved ones, that I will live a full life like God intended when I came to this world. Now this minute I declare to you who is reading this ! That you will not die prematurely, that you will accomplish all that you have always desired, that your loved ones also will not experience premature death, that you will live full life according to God's plan and will. Stay blessed ❤️.
I needed to hear this. This weekend I turned the age my Mom was when she passed suddenly. I too declare that no premature death will happen to me or my loved ones. May I live more fully the added days gifted to me.
I played this song for my 3 boys back in the early 2000's. They thought it was corny because it wasn't rap music. I'm black and used to be hood and "affiliated " but i strive to be a better man EVERYDAY. I hope one day my boys will listen to the words and understand where i was coming from when i had them listen to the words.
I raised my two sons by myself as a single Dad. This always reminds me of how proud I am of them. Love you boys!
❤
Obviously you are a good dad and would lay your life on the line for them. Not all single dads have as good of success in bringing them up. I'm not a parent but I feel single dads don't get get the recognition they deserve.
So did I. I love mine absolutely too....
Me three...
Raised 1, 2 more still at home. My oldest has had full time job for last 2 years and stays out of trouble. Honestly, I am thankful for that much!
Meraviglioso ❤❤❤❤

Not really
I couldn't agree more...
❤❤. I Love Rod Stewart ❤❤
Good evening friend how are you doing today
@@leahharris5 ME, TOO!
I'm sorry for your loss ,, your friend is closer then u think ,, the kingdom of heaven us upon us ,, ❤❤❤

Sorry for your loss 🤗
Today is my Dad's birthday. This was our father and son song. He passed away three weeks after his 77 birthday on Dec 2, 2019. I miss him so much.
Wholeheartedly dedicated to my son's Liam and Luca. May the good Lord be with you down every road you take. I love you beyond life itself. The both of you make me gleam with pride.
Good evening cristian how are you doing today
Few people comprehend how deep a parent's love is. God is described as our "Heavenly Father". As a Father of four, I understand only a fraction of His love. If my love is this strong as an imperfect man, how much more a heavenly Father with perfect love and affection. His love is so great, He sent His son to rescue us and the only way to be truly forever young. ❤

My mom just died the other day I thought of this, she loved Rod Stewart.
Es hermoso el tema el video a mi tambiem me emociona😭
My dad was dying of cancer and I was working night shifts , he would call me anytime in the night just to talk , then at the end of it he would sing this song for me . The morning he died I made it home 5 000 miles to see him and we talked and watch the sun rise and he told me to always listen to this song when I'm over thinking 🥺💔 I miss u daddy

Hello friend ❤ glad you are here to remember the precious memories 🥰
I ve been singing this to my daughter since she could understand now she's 13 I'm single it at her high school graduation
May the good Lord be with you
Down every road that you roam
And may sunshine and happiness
Surround you when you're far from home
And may you grow to be proud, dignified and true
And do unto others as you'd have done to you
Be courageous and be brave
And in my heart you'll always stay
Forever young, forever young
Forever young, forever young
May good fortune be with you
May your guiding light be strong
Build a stairway to Heaven
With a prince or a vagabond
And may you never love in vain
And in my heart you will remain
Forever young, forever young
Forever young, forever young
Forever young, forever young, yeah
And when you finally fly away
I'll be hoping that I served you well
For all the wisdom of a lifetime
No one can ever tell
But whatever road you choose
I'm right behind you, win or lose
Forever young, forever young
Forever young, forever young
Forever young, forever young
For, forever young, forever young
Amen
Good stuff

One of my favorite Rod Stewart songs. Have loved listening to him for 50 years.......
Amo su música 🎶 y su bella voz
I played this song at my wife’s funeral. She passed away in March 2012 at 45 from cancer. She loved Rod Stewart and we saw him live in concert about a year before she died. It would be our last “date” ever. She was in a great deal of pain and had a feeding tube but I could tell that she really enjoyed Rod’s (and Stevie Nick’s) performance. I love you Lorraine and miss you more every single day. Your legacy lives on in the four wonderful children you brought into this world. You will truly be forever young in my heart.
Damn this brought a tear to my eye. May your wife rest in peace, we’ll all see our loved ones again some day.
😔 I'm sorry.
I do not know you, but I felt the weight of your grief. Blessings to you, sir.
That raised goosebumps on my arms, so young to lose the love of your life,RIP Lorraine😘

It's refreshing to see a dad be a dad to their son and not abandon them and force them to figure out life on their own
My dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s at 56 years old this year. I listen to this song and picture my dad being Rod Stewart, holding me, telling me about life and teaching me what he can’t anymore and it gives me hope. My dad will be forever young and I will always be proud of him no matter what the future holds. I love you dad, and thank you for everything.
In the new world your dad will be young again , read on the bible job 33:25 and believe it
God bless your father. He sounds like a great man. From someone that was not close with his father this does my heart well to read your words.
I wish him and your family all the very best. God Bless.
I am sorry to hear couldn’t image having a parent go through Alzheimer’s that young. My Grandfather George had Alzheimer’s by the time he was 70 and it progressively got worse until his death at age 84 in 2014.

Well I am 69 and spite adversity I feel full of energy and young thanks my Good Lord!
Good evening friend how are you doing today

Your father watches on you Piob..
Wonderful words, they remind me of my dad. He was a farmer and then a soldier. He was tough but also a loving father. He taught me how to play rugby and how to surf. He guided me along the right path in life. I loved him and miss him. It would be nice to be forever young. God Bless

I dedicate this to my aunt Teresa who has always been a lifelong rod Stewart fan and she is currently suffering from terminal cancer so I felt this would be a lovely uplifting song for her and her family's comfort. 🙏💜

My grandma loved Rod Stewart. She was my everything. She passed when I was 15 and every time I hear this song it makes me cry.
This is Rod...a hit after another...and, I just love him!!

I played this song at my wife’s funeral. She passed from
Alzheimer’s at 72. We were married at 18. I miss her.
She's still with you in the heart
Lost my daddy to this illness. There’s not much out there more painful than Alzheimer’s to endure and witness. Love and prayers to you.
God is watching over you and he loves you ! 🙏🏼💛
*Hugs*
That kid Rod is holding is very lucky. My Dad hated the sight of me for absolutely no reason. Im 61 now and never had children. I sure wish I woulda had a father that cared like Rod. Jesus has kept me sane through it all. I always loved this song.👍
This kid is his son?
That was not his child, it was a child actor, Alex Zuckerman.

You are certainly blessed to know the Lord! Take comfort in the fact that the rejection you felt - He felt. He died for us exchanging His righteousness for our sin. The great exchange! And His love for you is immeasurable.
I love you dear child of God.
Watched/listened to Forever Young one morning with my dad many years ago. It stuck with us both, and I never forgot it. Dad died a few days ago, following an illness. Thanks for everything, Dad. I'm in my 50s and he was in his 80s, but he left me WAY too soon.
WoW.... Feeling the same & dealing with the same ....parents passed in their 80s song is beautiful
I cried! I love ROD STEWARD❤Rod Stewart’s poster was on my ceiling over my bed!!!!

Esta canción me lo dedico mi papá... Y es una sensación difícil de describir cuando la escuchas, simplemente maravillosa.
Gracias Papá 😊🥺
I don't think even Rod Stewart knows how much lives and emotions he has impacted through his songs, especially this one.
Missing my little boy at the moment as I've split with his mum and she wont let me see him. I play this song and think about my little boy wishing I could hold him to cheer me up and stop the tears
@Josh S yes mate I've already got everything in place thank you. Just shouldn't have to be like this
I remember my dad walking into his 50th birthday party to this song. And hugging him so hard. Rip Dad
Carl Brooks Go see a lawyer. The mom doesnt have the right to deprive you of your rights to see your son. Be there while your son is growing up. Make memories your son will cherish forever.

Honestly, I love your posts so much and always enjoy reading them in my free and lonely time. I am really sorry for invading your privacy, but I would like to be friends with someone who could share such sensitive post content, which means you are a woman of integrity, I wanted to add you but sending you a friend request without your consent is inappropriate because I'm a public figure and also it wouldn't take long, I will appreciate it if you send me a friend request now so we can be friends and write better here on RUclips
I miss him every second of every day
He still lives within you. 💙
Read your comment. Tears in my eyes thinking about my son. He is 8 now and going strong with God Almighty by his side 24/7.
I am glad you had a grandfather to remember.

Hi Elle Good evening. I hope my comment didn't sound as a form of privacy invasion your comment tells of a wonderful woman with a beautiful heart which led me to comment I don't normally write in the comment section but I think you deserve this complement. If you don’t mind can we be friends? Thanks God bless you….🌺🌺🌺
What a great mommy your are that your son honored you like that, giving back :)
I would always sing this song to my daughter when she was little. And, 2 days ago, she graduated from high school and is headed to college in the fall. Now, it just hits this mommas heart different 😪💛😪
Good evening friend how are you doing today
Thank You very much! These thoughts and wishes were quite meaningful to me.May the Almighty bless You as well!
I have 2 boys myself , grown men now but to me they will always be my babies, I get you and your boys will too when they have their own kids ❤
Love and Light, you live the song! When one get the taste of lifting upwards, nothing can keep you down!:)
Tyran, you are a blessing
