Kind of reminds me of a pattern that I used to have but have been looking for, it was a baby blanket and started with grass and flowers on bottom and turned in to sky and hot air balloons as it went up.

If for row one I crochet into one side of the “V”, rather than the back bump. When wither perimeter round when finishing, I crochet into the remaining loops of the chain opposite each single crochet.
