The website Song Tell has this to say about the song: " "Fee Ra Huri" by Omnia is a song that features a repeated, nonsensical phrase that serves as the main chorus and title. The lyrics are in a mix of English and some made-up words, which are reminiscent of traditional folk songs. The song is mainly instrumental, and the few words that are spoken or sung are used to punctuate the music. The song appears to be an ode to traditional folk music and dance, as suggested by the phrases "Wack fol'a day" and "Fiddle daddle day." These phrases appear to be invitations to join in the dancing or to simply enjoy the music. The chorus, "Ho de fee ra huri," appears to be a nonsense phrase that could be interpreted as a call to have fun and let go. Overall, "Fee Ra Huri" seems to celebrate the joy and freedom of traditional folk music and dance. It encourages listeners to forget their worries and join in the festivities. While the song doesn't have a clear narrative or message, it creates a lively and upbeat atmosphere that is typical of traditional folk music. "
Oh dear i hope she gets better. not only is it amazing to see her play the Hurdy Gurdy (thank you) i also deeply care about peoples well being. I have never had the experiences to be that close to a band than with Omnia i feel more close to them than i feel with any other band!
I think this is the best song on the new album; and I want our Omnia back; the ancient, mystic, powerfull Omnia. This new era since the Wolf Love is ... broken.
Luka is now in a band called 'Rastaban' and doing absolutely fine! I think he is way better in this band, because this band suits his personality better (in my opinion). Before, this band was called 'Iliana'. (just in case, i am sorry if you already knew that ^^)
According to the blog, they were returning from a tour and Luka out of no where said he would have to leave the band, and he wouldn't name any reasons why. Then they decided to have a farewell show for him, which after a bit he said he would be unable to play in (his reasons were that it would 'be too fake and insincere', and apparently would not explain why). And after the show he sent a representative to the band to collect a debt he was owed, which Steve seemed very upset over in the blog.
And in Latin it means Everything, every culture, every civilisation, all together in an ethnic anthem of all people in the world. That is truly genius.
great song, good quality, thanks for posting! I'm trying to play the whistle part but that's pretty hard... Does anyone know where i could find some sheets? (or if it does even exist)
While this is "cleaner" than the previous version (which was more raw and less studio), I really do miss the bass, especially in the vocals. It filled it out better I think. But this one still has good energy. One of the things that originally distinguished them from their frequent concert partner Faun was that while Faun tended to have more female vocals (Olav aside), Omnia tended to have a lot more male voice, especially in the lower end. That's kinda gone now.
they used to be, it went weird after Luca left in my opinion, they went more "hippy" then pagan, still there have been songs I still like, toys in the attic is a good song in their new style :)

This song seems more....tame than the one I remember. Less Fey. I recall there being a more powerful drum line, like a bodhran, and the didgeridoo being more prominent.
No this no celtic music. They use a celtic harp and some loans to celtic (gaelic/irish) styles. Their music is influenced from all over the world and OMNIA likes to play with covers (Wild thing, The troggs, 1966) and several styles, so they do a rap, a reggae piece, even one country and western style. But they put it all in their way of making music, adapting, translating, transposing, playing with it. One piece ist a afghan folk piece.. you might not get aware of that. On one piece they seem to use a totally own language. OMNIA IS dead professional und they live what they claim to be. The reggae pice is not my personal favorite, because it is reggae but nevertheless it IS a good piece of work. Like all of their doings
@LordDennings I believe he and Stenny had some huge fight which resulted in Luka leaving the band and them not being friends anymore. Don't know what the fight is all about. The Raventimes edition about that issue was mostly about bashing Luka and making it look like it was all his fault.
@LordDennings I'm not quite sure, A friend of mine told me there was some friction within the band. I don't get the raven times, so I missed the part where they explained why/how she left. Though that would be only 1 side of the story. So sorry, Can't help you with that.
@armivalkyrie You are very welcome! If you enjoy this song, check out the older albums aswell. I have them on my channel! This is a remake from one of their first cd's. The song is named Fidhe ra Huri. Greetz, Elf0Fantasy
if you listen to alot of celtic-folk music, you'll notice the do little spurts in between verses like "diddly-aye dee-aye" etc. thats all he's doing, cept he made a whole song out of it
Acho que te encontrei, encantadora Sra. Maddox. Muito obrigada por me dedicar um folk tão interessante quanto Omnia Fee Ra Huri. Dançaremos até que Apollo faça brilhar o Sol.

From what I gathered so far Fee ra Huri means "the Day changes the Child".
This song makes me wanna turn into a fairy and dance around in the woods.
