Iam from the UK it struck me how well kept this cemetery is we have a grave in our town that is the grave of luitenant Arthur brown who crashed his Thunderbolt saving our town and it occupants he was American god bless him we look after his resting place
I was just reading about Lt. Brown and was especially touched by how wonderfully your community has honored his memory. It must've been a great comfort to his family to know that he is in such a beautiful, and loving place as your town.
Grave Explorations his family come over every so many years it was so very sad the area were his plane went down was quick sand so the plane is still in the quick sand as it could not be retrieved
It's a dream of mine to one day take Grave Explorations to the UK. If it should ever happen, I would love to go to your town and document this very touching story. Thank you again for sharing it. I wish you and yours all the best.

Seeing I'm a newbie and catching up on your past videos this was awesome, love the back stories takes alot of time researching the names on the headstones. I do genealogy not just for myself but other people as well, love the hunt (I'm basically nosey anyway 😀) and just charge them for postage. So thanks for all you do for a very interesting and informative regarding the Cemeteries.
I had no idea the cemetery was even there! I’ve eaten at The Original Pancake house on Lincoln Ave for decades only to find out here that the original entrance was on the opposite side of the street before it was relocated to Sycamore on the north side.
I've got to tell you that your work is better than a lot of professional documentaries!!! You do such a wonderful job of researching and your narration is nothing short of impressive. I'm totally hooked!
I finally visited yesterday while we waited for our table at Original Pancake House nearby. I wish the old entrance were still there as it’s directly across the street. Now you have to walk all the away around to the Sycamore entrance. Lincoln Ave used to be called Center Street. When Anaheim was founded, it was bounded by North, South, East, and West Streets with Central (now Lincoln) bisecting it. The cemetery was outside the city as it lies east of East street.
Graves of little babies always upset me, maybe it's because my mom lost her first born son at 7 days old from intestinal strangulation then lost her second born son at age 7 when he drowned. I hope they're both Resting In Peace with my dad.
Seeing the War graves makes me wish I could afford to go to where my Uncle Sapper (Canadian Engineer) Robert Charles Dionne is buried in the Netherlands, specifically Bergen Op Zoom Canadian War Cemetery. I have my grandfather Raymond William Dionne who served Canada not once but TWICE and my uncles Raymond James and Ronald Norris Dionne buried here in Canada where I can go visit but uncle Robert Charles--he's out of my reach except on Google Earth but I can't find his grave using that.
I wonder if you've ever seen the small Brand Family Cemetery, in the foothills of Glendale. There's a remarkable pyramid there. I saw it as a young man when I lived nearby many years ago. Something about it has stayed with me ever since.

Talk about a city of the dead! Yes, most definitely, I'm thinking late summer or fall. However, I think I would need about a month to cover it. Fortunately, I have family in the Bay Area.
Long before I started filming my cemetery visits I had the opportunity to explore a few in PA and NY. I would LOVE to get back East and the South at some point. The problem is I wouldn't know where to start. In a couple weeks I will be in the Midwest filming in several locations. If all goes well it should be a biggie. Stay tuned....
I think if you ever get the chance to come over to the uk, and research the place Norma talks of you would fill one video! We have a number of similar places scattered all over the uk, and a number are close to the air bases occupied by US servicemen during the last war. A lot of that surrounding property where you live used to belong to a farmer and Civil War veteran named Erwin Barr (I hope I have the name right). He also donated the plots where William Crandall and the other are buried.
I LOVE HISTORY I REMEMBER AMERICA BEFORE 1960S' ..STORES WERE CLOSED ON SUNDAYS ...LADIES ALWAYS WENT OUT IN DRESSES,HATS,GLOVES, AMERICA HAD IMMIGRANTS VTHAT CAME TO MAKE IT A BETTER PLACE..BUT I LOVE THESE STORIES OF PIONEERS.
In Germany if you are buried in a paupers grave you do not get a headstone. It is like you do not exist. My mother knows where her boyfriend is buried because she asked but they are not really allowed to tell you.
IN CARROLLTON ,MO IS A CEMETERY WITH PIONEERS THAT STARTED THAT COUNTY ...NAMED CARY CEMETERY..I WISH I COULD GO CLEAN IT UP AND FIX THE HEAD STONES. REALLY FINE FOLKS THERE MEN SERVED THEIR COUNTRY LOVED THE LORD..THEY WERE MOMS' FOLKS GO TO 1790S'.
The Civil War wasn't about ending slavery, it was about states' rights. if keeping slavery would have won the war, Lincoln would have supported it. It wasn't a moral issue to him either way.

7:43 you sure got that right. My friend died in her sleep and was buried here in 2011. She was only 44 and from one of the original German families.
