Frida had no chance to learn a healthy bonding without parents on her own with working granny..
So she took glamour.. I cannot blame her .suffering from Low self esteem..
Many men choose a carreer over family life. Often it's hard to get both.

I think Agnetha and Frida’s personal behaviour destroyed ABBA. You are in love with ABBA’s joyous music videos and ignoring the fact that the boys rejected two incredibly beautiful and very talented woman, probably for very good reasons. Even Agnetha’s friend couldn’t hide the fact that she was/is high maintenance. The girls were both a big problem towards the end. It must have ripped the boys guts out having to put up with their tantrums.
@@smackcheeks they had alot of pressures from fame , fans and media it must of been really hard as well as trying to hold a marriage and family.
I blame Benny who divorved Frida while she still loved him. But very often we must swallowed bitterness in life for a better life.

Highly interesting and confirming everything I fantasized, fueled by all the lurid articles in the yellow press through all these years. Leaves you wondering how much is really true. They could have used better wigs though.
I wonder if they themselves approve of this. Is it possible, if you’re in the public eye, to have everything written and produced about you without consent? They even use the quotes as if they had been involved in this. Leaves a bitter taste in the mouth.
I really enjoy this documentary because it gives a lot of information I wasn't aware of. Like the status of the couples' relationships when they recorded and filmed different songs and the emotional state of Agnetha and Frida. It's obvious that the different group members were in different places in their lives and aspired for different things and for Agnetha being in a successful pop group that toured the world wasn't a dream but a nightmare while for the rest of the group, that was their dream coming true.
There is too wide a gap though between the appearance of the 2 actresses and the real women who were both very pretty.
I agree with you, I don´t care about the gap. But all the other things you say I agree. Even the growing rivality between the girls, I something I could see in some videos. About "Thank you for the music" it is sad that she sings: "I am not special, in fact, kind of a bore" it is exactly how Bjorn felt about her in those years. Even "thanking" for the music is a Bjorn thing, because he thanked the music because it gave him money and status, Agnetha at that point only wanted to be at home. And, if you see, there are any song about their kids. Any of it.
@@LauRa-re9un I always noticed the rivalry between the girls in videos and on the stage, and honestly, I always had the impression that it mainly came from Frida's part, maybe because she was aware of how taken the audience was with Agnetha striking appearance and probably because of her unhappy childhood and feeling not worthy.

A brave face & a joke often hides our true feelings. Understanding is the key, Women are more emotional, we feel that fear mush more than men.
Agnetha missed her children always so bad she was a good mother and she must have had support

Agnetha was in over her head. It’s not Bjorne job to keep her afloat though, he probably tried with all his might. No, she was an emotional land mine of which he needed to rid himself. He gave up everything just to be rid of her.. do you understand?
@@lightconnection1 yeah, I am jealous of Bjorn but, not with what he had to deal with. He had to walk away from ABBA because her anxieties and emotions were casting a dark pall over him. He must have felt so angry and beaten.. poor guy.

@@stanleybandos8195 one of biggest lies. She was a teen mom. In those days if you got pregnant you were pressured to get married. She admits she and her first husband were to young but she never "left her kids" she got a divorce and moved to stockholm to pursue her career but saw her kids all the time. They were at Benny a d fridas a lot. She never missed a birthday or Christmas. They took extended vacations. They were even with her when ABBA toured Japan. She provided them with a beautiful home, best education, what ever they needed. Yes they were with their father alot so they wouldn't be dragged around and could have friends and be at the same school. By the way Benny had to children from his first marriage too. He rarely saw or sees them. Why is Frida villanized. A bit of sexism??

Great documentary
The documentary says that the last time they appeared together was in 1982, but they also reunited briefly in 1986 (or 1987, I can't remember) and in 2016

I see a B57,B66 and a B47. and even a B29 or its variant tanker.
This was some Air force base, and NOT Boston-Logan.
Its an air museum in Connecticut.

ABBA was done by the end of the ´70s. It was a 70´s group, not 80´s. Another groups appeared, theirkind of pop was turning old, ABBA was going to end no matter what in the 80´s. They were in their ´30s also, getting old. They belong to the 70´s. I was young in those days, that was the feeling.
im from boston I think that flight was supposed to land in logan airport boston i dont remember a hurrican wiping out the airport ever I know they had turbulance and couldnt land

Why would painful reminders be wanted, a documentary or movie in ten/ twenty years. Those of us who care about them, don't need to see see her pain. Starting over again and again is very painful and lonely. We cant keep going back.

I doubt most of this is true, only the actual interviews with Frida and Agnetha. And the actors are just not right.

Some of it is true, Agnetha said in an interview that’s she would rather be at home doing dishes and with her kids rather than on tour

Yes Benny cheated on Frida (after 9 years of begging her to marry him and then he cheats) and got the woman , Mona pregnant. They had a son. Maybe Benny wanted kids and Frida did not?

I know that what I may say might trigger some people but in my opinion this documentary is completely one sided, this doc made Benny and Bjorn look like fools meanwhile we really don’t know what happened behind the scenes
I’m not accusing Agnatha or frida of anything but again we just do not know what really happened and I don’t think they ever talk about the divorces much and the band splitting up,
This doc didn’t cover everyone in the band fairly in my eyes
I think those men didn't know much about a good relationship. Only their Fame.
They were fairly young couples. Björn and Bennys next relationships worked out better.
And the producer really shouldn't do this to two great artists.

Benny and Bjorn had to give up literally EVERYTHING they’d built just to be rid of the two whining emotional women. It took Freda and Anna 50 years to grow up and now they’re sad because they ruined everything… jeezus

Where is the empathy for their wives' mental or emotional health writing a song for each marriage breakup which is like airing your dirty laundry. Taylor Swift writes about all her ex boyfriends. Absolutely shameless but even worse if you had to sing the other person's version of what happened.
