    🌸According to the cold rainy weather in March, the cherry blossom forecast changed a lot after I published this video. Tokyo will have record late blooming this year, and it's expected to bloom on 27th in Tokyo (as of March 26), which is 1 week to 10 days later than the forecast. The full blooming date will be around April 5th.

    I would also recommend plum blossom season which starts in mid January and go on through February. Not as many trees as the sakura but still, there are some great spots in Tokyo. I find the weather is a bit more stable in winter than during sakura. Also Atami has an early sakura as well, from end of January. 💮

I will be staying for 5 days before going to Osaka, Kyoto, Hiroshima, and possibly somewhere else in the area before I come back to stay at or near Tokyo for the remainder of my 2 week trip. Do you know if I have to pay to see them at Hirosaki Park? I see they're accepting expensive reservations for a viewing picnic, but all I want to do is see them: that's it.

Do you know where i can see what buses go to narita station and their schedules? also do you know if the sakura has started blooming at sakuranoyama? I am worried there will be no sakura to be seen tomorrow.

    Question, do the predictions get more accurate when it becomes mid-March, or do they remain the same that have been published in February? Is there a way to check more accurate predictions as time goes on?

      Prediction will be updated. I have a link in the description to the app. Sakura Navi, and this one let you see more location focused forecast and updates. At this point today, some companies have different predictions, but almost the same.

    Hello, great video. Do you have any idea about the blooming time in higher altitude areas such as Lake Kawaguchiko? Forecasts don't show dates for these areas, and the information online is very different, some say Late April, some say Early.
    I originally wanted to plan a trip where I can see the blossoms BOTH in Tokyo and Kawaguchiko - but I learnt that it is much colder at Kawaguchiko so I will have to choose one or the other.

    • @tokyokenchan
      @tokyokenchan  6 месяцев назад +1

      Hello, thank you for watching. Yes, about a week later than Tokyo. The forecast I saw says the FULL blooming date around Chureito near Kawaguchiko is April 8. 👍

    • @whole.milk__
      @whole.milk__ 6 месяцев назад

      @@tokyokenchan Thank you for your reply! May I ask where you found this forecast for Chureito? Also, in the video you said that the flowers are nicest even 13 days after the 'full blooming date' - did you mean 13 days after the first bloom/flowering date? Because for example, this year in Tokyo the first bloom is forecasted for 18/21 March, and full bloom is forecasted for around 28th. So is the best time to visit 28th, or even later?

      Oh i see, thank you! So can I ask one more question then... do you think I can catch some Cherry Blossoms in Tokyo on 4th April,or will they have mostly fallen already? And then go to Chureito/Kawaguchiko on the 7th/8th? I can't go for too many days and I hope to get a chance to see in the blossoms both in the City and Countryside. @@tokyokenchan

    Absolutely, it's essential to be respectful when photographing cherry blossoms. Manipulating the branches can be seen as disrespectful, as cherry blossoms hold cultural significance in Japan. It's best to admire them without disturbing their natural state.
