I have no idea why slipknot didnt do more with this song. They could have released it as a single, made a video and most importantly, played it live but for some reason they did none of these things
This was written by Paul Gray and reading Shawns POV it sounds like this was a massively tough song for him and it probably means too much to them to try and get success from it, I think they just wanted Paul’s voice to be heard, but I agree it is a beautifully dark and emotional song, a true masterpiece
