Such a sweet and tasty solo by Jim Root. To me, this is one of their best written songs, even though everything they put out is amazing. I personally think All Hope Is Gone was one of the overlooked Slipknot albums.

The lyrics in this are amazing and the varying contrast in Corey's voice throughout the song really helps project it.

One of slipknots best songs with their greatest solo. I wish they would play it live. I wouldn't care if it was just once but as long as they did it some place like Knotfest or something like that I would be happy. It's just such a great song. Paul's amazing verse bassline, Corey's dark but melodic vocals and above all, Jim's astounding solo. It would be a treat for every slipknot fan

Back when I followed Slipknot, I remember my favorite 3 songs were never played live. Gehenna, Metabolic, and Diluted. Apparently they played Metabolic a couple yrs ago?

To me Slipknot isnt just Nu Metal. Its a mix with a lot of metal subgenres. They are Deathmetal,Groove Metal,Nu Metal,Experimental Metal and Doom Metal all combined. its just my opinion. you can say what ever you want. this is just how i hear the music.

I really like how Jim can put all these extra sounds into a song expecially this one, he adds in natural harmonics and a slide harmonics and it just adds so much to a song
All Hope is Gone is their best album in my opinion! I don't care how much time they spent on it, if it sounds good it sounds good. Really surprises me it's everyone's least favourite album when there are so many great songs on it!

Can we spend a minute here to appreciate Slipknot's original chord progressions and harmonies. They don't follow the bog-standard mainstream metal harmonies and I love that.
Almost 5 years ago, I broke up with my fiance and moved a whole state away (long story, bad relationship and situation) Thats when I rediscovered this album, and it helped me get through the pain of the break up. "Free my severed heart, give me you" That really spoke to me in a way like I needed to be freed from the ties to our relationship we once had. Amazing song. top 3 on the album.

When I saw slipknot back in 2009 I heard people in line saying they just got into slipknot.... I saw them once more in 2012. Saw them 6 times in total since 2004. Really wish I got to see them when Corey had his dreads like his first 2 masks.. I really enjoy this track though. :)

Butcher's hook is my least favourite song of slipknot, but Wherein Lies Continue is simply amazing, specially the chorus.
