AHIG is the best Slipknot album with Joey and Paul. It has the novelty of ST, the heaviness of Iowa, and the refinement of Vol. 3 all wrapped up in one kickass package.

Such an underrated song. Good stuff here. I know some people hate Slipknot, but I like them. They're unique, they're diverse, they don't conform to the rules of most metal genres. I usually listen to them in bursts, but after a while I can't handle it.

This is probably the best overall Vocal delivery put to a slipknot record the Singing and Harsh vocals are at the top. And Shawn and Chris do great backup vocals that sound like corey.

Breakdowns are mainly a metalcore thing, and yes Slipknot are metal, it's just most "metalheads" only think the 80s and older are real metal. They often insult by placing Slipknot into the 'NU metal' genre, which is bullshit on mainly levels, it's like comparing a Slipknot song to a A7X song they don't really mix. But yeah Slipknot is heavy metal, or as Slipknot has said before 'Metal Metal'

Honestly, I really like all the albums. Seems like starting at AHIG to present Corey’s voice changed and to me it sounds more full and deep as opposed to his former crazy powerful screams. So the music has changed a little as well to match up nicely. I find the lyrics of their last 3 albums to be more meaningful as well. Every album has some dam good songs though.
