      Leaving work and throwing the top back relieved all my stress from that day. I didn't need a trail, but I'm
      certain that would have been great too. I've had three and we are without one at this time...that needs to
      change.

      I just drove from Ontario to Nova Scotia and after a week, returned back to Ontario. Great drive the whole way and never once felt like I would loose my sanity with a 9yr old, 6yr old and a 3 yr old in the back seat. They all had space and room to move, room for pillows and blankets. Did I mention the drive was straight thru!!! I was always ready to stop and grab a hotel for the night if need be, but everyone was good to go. My wife and I both pleasantly surprised with the results.

    I have a 2019 2 door JL Sport S, I daily drive it and love it. I’m averaging 24 MPG and it’s so comfortable. I hate to say it but I’m actually looking forward to snow soon.
    I can have a bad day at work but my one hour commute driving makes you feel happy driving this thing. The Jeep community is awesome. It doesn’t matter how big, what you’ve done to it, 2 door or 4 door or ages of them. Everyone’s Jeep is their own style and wrangler owners are great, you get this with no other brand.

    I absolutely love my 2019 Jeep Wrangler! I got a 2 door since I never really have passengers, don’t really need much trunk space, and honestly was scared to be driving a “big car”. But now that I’ve had it for about 1 year now, I definitely am looking for a 4 door maybe in a few years. I am obsessed! Jeep life & never turning back!

    • @michepriest
      @michepriest 3 года назад +1

      I’ve been going back and forth on 2 door vs 4 door. If you never really have passengers or need much trunk space, what would cause you to want to go 4 door?

    • @scalefreakgaming
      @scalefreakgaming  3 года назад

      Well…I have a 2-dr, and I want a 4 door.
      I don’t know many 4-dr that want a 2-dr.
      I feel like, I would never get into a 4dr and wish I had a 2dr. But I would totally get into a 2dr and wish I had a 4dr.

    • @michepriest
      @michepriest 3 года назад +1

      @@scalefreakgaming what are the trade offs? Besides space. I’m thinking a 2 door would be more fun to drive, no?

    • @scalefreakgaming
      @scalefreakgaming  3 года назад +1

      @@michepriest I will answer this based on my personal experiences. This is the Internet, so I expect someone to chime in and tell me I’m wrong.
      1. The longer wheel base of the 4-dr is easier to drive as a daily. I find that is gets tossed around a little less on the bumps, and the steering radius is much more…normal.
      2. A comment about the steering. The 2-dr wheel base is very short. When you turn a tight corner, it feels weird because it turns to quickly. It almost feels like it can turn on top of itself. I life in Canada, so I’m in snow for months of the year. In the snow, the 4-dr is WAY more stable and predicable.
      3. If you are going Offroad, the 2-dr can feel a little scary when you are making steep climbs or decent. Because of the shorter wheelbase, it’s more likely you can flip backwards. Or at least limit you because you think it will. With the 4-dr, you can climb better, but there is the chance that you may turtle on the rocks if you drive over something and get caught on your skid plate. I will 100% take getting the skid plate caught over the feeling of flipping.
      4. More room is always better. You never know when you are going to have to get something that you could use a small truck for. It’s nice that way. You have the available room on the 4dr.
      5. People love Jeeps and always want to go for a ride. More people in the 4dr.

    • @michepriest
      @michepriest 3 года назад

      @@scalefreakgaming this is super helpful, thanks! One of my concerns was flipping. Not that I do any off-roading, but safety, specifically flipping, was something that was giving me pause. What you’ve said makes sense. 4 door for me it is! Thanks again

    1st first: your family is just BEAUTIFUL! I love seeing that little dude napping so peacefully! 🥰.
    Ok I drive a jacked up 97 Sahara on 33’s with modified fenders ( I had no choice, it had damage when I got it.) Black soft top, black windows, typical PNW machine.
    When I first had it, I was teetering on the bumper at night at the AutoZone putting in some oil, and another girl Jeeper in the nicest Rubi pulled up and asked if I need help and ducked me! It’s a small town out here, she said us girls need to stick together and help each other out. She made my night!
    I also get swarmed by other girl Jeep clubs, I’m thinking about it.
    Now the other car I’ve had where we swarmed other drivers in play, was murdered Minis. There was a group of us and we did it to any new mini driver we found. They would usually laugh. It’s good fun.
    This is one vehicle where we like em all! Old or new, I appreciate them all. And of course out here in the vineyard, I’m off road ALL THE TIME, and man if I see a puddle, I’m like a bad dog! I’m going in that thing to play! Unless I have somewhere I have to be, I’ll come home covered in mud! I actively seek out fun!
    I’ve had JEEPS for 25 years, I still have much love for my XJ’s, I have a 95 Arctic white 2 dr. Same 4.0 inline 6 engine 4x4, but I drive my wrangler.
    Maybe one day I’ll get a used JKU, mainly just for space, but I’m not getting rid of this rough bull, I love my Jeep! I hope to have him for the rest of my life!
    See ya out there ✌️

    I just sold my F150 and bought a Jeep gladiator Rubicon in Sting Gray . Switched the tires for 37” Cooper AT3 XLT at the dealer (very light tire for their size). No lift required.
    I could not be any happier. It’s getting 19.9 mpg (better than my F150) hand calculated so far and has plenty of power. The bed isn’t big enough for a contractor but it holds my 4 wheeler just fine and it was on display with a sport bike in the back so I know that fits as well.
    I can already say that this is my favorite vehicle I’ve ever owned and I’ve owned a lot of them. I used to own a TJ and it handles, drives leapyears better than it and is completely capable of taking 4 people and all their gear wherever they want to go for a week or more.
    If you’re considering one, do it.

    I absolutely enjoyed your review. As a former Jeep owner, I totally understand what you mean about the culture (especially the "Jeep wave"). With my current car, I assumed that others with the same vehicle would give me a similar wave. But instead, they (the other owners) seem to be competitive. Whenever I had my Jeep Wrangler, it did not matter how customized another Jeep was or if it was stock, the other "Jeepers" and I always had pleasant conversations sharing our adventures with our Jeeps. I had a gentleman in his late sixties pull up at a gas station with his old military Jeep and we ended up going across to the Tim Hortons for a coffee where he gave me the complete history of the Jeep. Also, it was nice to see footage of our area in Niagara. Once again, great video - now I am inspired to trade in my car for another Jeep!

    • @scalefreakgaming
      @scalefreakgaming  2 года назад

      That would be so awesome to be able to just do that. Starts with a trip to the gas station, (which happens a lot) and ends with a great conversation over coffee

    I bought my wrangler 3 weeks ago and I love it. I have watched hours of video on them before I bought and am still watching, every now and then I find a nugget I didn't know. I hadn't seen anyone mention how the back gate covered the panel where the bolts go. I wondered what would stop that flap from opening and the bolts bouncing around when doing some off-roading, now I know. My wife and I head to Niagara from Belleville every summer. I am really looking forward to it this year, maybe I can find some of those roads you referred to.

    Terrific family review of the Jeep Wrangler. 👌

  • @eno2870
    @eno2870 3 года назад +5

    I've owned a 2012 JK for like 7 years now. Absolutely love it, even though the 2012's had a lot of issues (sensors, heaters.. lot of things that failed). I'm actually trading it in on a 2021 Rubicon right now, which will end up being essentially identical down to the color.
    Wranglers are outstanding all purpose vehicles. They're big enough to fit a lot of passengers comfortably. They have a ton of cargo room, as much as a truck with a canopy if you fold down the back seats. They're great in bad weather. They're convertibles. They're very off road capable. They're built to be modified.
    Honestly, they have basically all the pro's a person could ask for and only a couple of cons. The gas mileage is terrible, they have the aerodynamics of a shed (wind really pushes them around), and they are noisy inside as a result of the lack of floor insulation and whatnot (there's removable carpet, and under that is just the metal body of the car.. with a drain hole for water, should you want to literally hose the thing out.). That's really all there is.

    • @scalefreakgaming
      @scalefreakgaming  3 года назад +1

      HAHA! A Shed!! I love it.
      I ended up buying an 2004 TJ Unlimited (LJ). I have a 71 Litre tank that I average 300km per tank. So I get it.
      Congrats on the upgrade. I know that 3.6L engine is way better.

    Thanks for the review, and I have always loved the Jeeps regardless of what people may say about the newer models. I truly believe that a vehicle will respond to how it is driven, along with regular maintenance. I lost mine a long time ago due to finances, but always missed it every since.
    For me, I treat all of my vehicles with Lucas oil products and never seem to have any problems.
    For now, YUP, I am that guy that sees you in a shiny Wrangler, or Gladiator Jeep truck, and I am totally green with envy!!! I don't care what people may have to say, these are some highly awesome, sexy, beautiful, and super capable vehicles! In fact, I would bet that many of the naysayers are more jealous than anything. Feed those babies some Lucas, and they will run forever - Transmission too; Just keep all the tires the same size on the outer diameter for the constant AWD models - Never use a tire out of size for those, and all should go well.

  • @GrafDevelopments
    @GrafDevelopments 5 лет назад +6

    I have to say, at the very beginning of the video, when you said you weren't going to do any off-roading to put the jeep through a real test, I thought you wouldn't like it. I didn't believe you would "get it". There was no way you would get the true feeling that we Jeep people get.
    However, you GOT it. You picked up on the culture right away. When you buy a Jeep, it's not simply a vehicle, it becomes a way of life and as all these other people are my witnesses, I promise you your family will change so much about who you are and what you do from now on. Your weekends will be different, your vacations will immediately change, and you will feel like part of a large, extended family.
    So with that, I'll give you a big Jeep wave and hopefully I'll see you on a trail somewhere.

    • @scalefreakgaming
      @scalefreakgaming  5 лет назад +1

      Thank you this note. And yes, it’s everything you just said. It’s an amazing experience.
      For my family, this time with the Jeep was an ah-ha moment. The moment we realized, “THIS is what we were looking for!” “THIS is that family thing we can enjoy for years”
      It’s something we can do with a group. It’s something we can do just us. I have been bit by the big. Need me a Jeep.

      @JayJay Me too, same scenario. I was early to mid 20s and had a Scrambler. Great looking Jeep. I use it as a truck and figured if nothing else I would have 4 wheel capabilities when it snowed, which in Dallas is rare. So, I never got to really have fun with it.

      Obviously, these things aren’t cheap. I have been tossing around the idea of getting a JKU for a few years until I can afford a JLU, but really...it’s the JLU that I want.

    • @aircooled0801
      @aircooled0801 5 лет назад +1

      The JKU's are super awesome as well. We had a new leftover JKU Rubicon demo as a loaner for a couple of days until they gave us a JLU Rubicon loaner while waiting for mine to arrive. It was a great Jeep. Definitely two totally different Jeeps as far as refinements, design and features, but still very similar at the core if that makes sense. My youngest daughter has our 2007 JKU X. It's not a Rubicon, but it's KILLER!!! I don't believe you can go wrong either way, and when you're ready to move to a JLU, the JKU will probably still be worth what you paid for it. Amazing how well these bad boys hold their value despite there being a million on the road.

    Tremendous review! We have a 2018 JKU (so a lesser version of what you reviewed) and have taken it from Washington state for three road trips (so far) down to Disneyland, Tucson, Las Vegas, etc. It's a great daily driver (as you mentioned, doors off/tops off are pretty simple) and comfortable for long road trips, too. The Wrangler affords so much flexibility for families (we have 4 of us) that you can enjoy driving it during any season, in any environment, and adjust accordingly. That's worth some coin to me, and add in the culture component you mentioned, and it's the best vehicle I've ever owned, hands down. In fact, I got the jeep grill/windshield logo tattooed on my forearm after owning it for 6 months, as it was that big of a game changer for me/our family. Youngest LOVES pulling up to school and just jumping out the doorless Jeep, for example.

    I live on a farm and work in tech and have a 2009 jk unlimited she is now 10 years old and let me tell you it is an amazing daily driver and also an amazing vehicle to use off-road and around the farm. I've only ever had to do general maintenance on it. Daily driver for 10 years with zero breakdowns what more can you ask? Being in Australia of had to add a sunshade to the top to allow me to have a top off during summer.

      That’s awesome to hear.
      We also had to add the top to mine to keep the sun off us. It was fun at first to be completely topless, but...skin cancer is a major concern.

    Just started my research on jeeps in general. Will be looking for purchase in the spring and trying to find out which Jeep will be best for me. Daily driver in WI, won't be doing much off road if any

    Recently bought a 2019 Rubicon 2 dr as my daily driver. Its great! Super easy to park and I don't care if it gets dinged in a parking lot, or gets rock chips like I do my other vehicles. I yanked out the backseat the first day so plenty of room for dogs too. I say definitely get white. I had a black JK, a silver TJ (2006) and a blue TJ (2000). So far white has been the best choice. Hides scratches and water spots well. I cannot think of a better all around daily driver.
