@@marcj4992 I have used the 60" blade to scrap packed snow. It depends on how hard packed it is. If it is really hard pack the blade will trip unless you lock it so it doesn't trip. If the blade doesn't work effectively on the hard pack snow`then I will put on my loader and scrap it with the bucket. The key is to get the snow off the driveway before it get packed down but there are times when this is just not possible.
Thanks for watching John. The X748 has been quite a little workhorse since I've got it and I've had zero problems with it. This machine still amazes me in what I'm able to do with it.
@@X748SE probably the only thing it will need is to keep the battery charged and a new fuel filter. That is all I have to do to my lawn tractor, besides the normal maintenance items. I leave a Schumacher Maintainer on mine all the time, except when I need the extension cord for other things. It is a pulse charger - it will pulse charge the battery, as needed. It is always ready to go when I am. I ran it last week for over an hour mulching up leaves in the back yard. Mine is a Snapper SPX, 23.5 HP with a 42 inch deck. I have had it over three years.
Thanks for watching Mike! I use the blower most of the time and really only used the blade when the snow is really wet. Now and again I'll through the blade on because I love seeing the snow curl off the end of it!
WOW! All that weight on her and she was still spinning! I was out that day too (the only time, so far this season), but I was out at 0600, before it got too warm and packed!
Thanks for watching. It's amazing what a little bit of ice underneath the tires and an incline can do. Sometimes I don't get out soon enough. Glad that you were able too.
Thanks for watching! Hope that you have as much fun with the X758 as I do with my X748. Blew lots of snow without a cab on previous tractors but having a cab now certainly makes snow clearing more enjoyable. You won't regret getting cab.
X748SE saw your video on the front weight bracket you made for better traction,,I think it’s a great patten..I always use your videos for advice,,thanks again
I have basically the same set-up, except with 4-wheel steering. What I don't have is a chute exit deflector actuator. Is it in a kit form or did you design it? I am determined to have something on it this winter! What a great looking setup you have!
Thanks for watching and your comment. The chute defector actuator is something the I rigged up myself. Many people have done this. You can see how I did this mod and another in this video of mine: --> ruclips.net/video/tE819PnpUjE/видео.html In the description is more information about the mods I did with my snowblower. BOTH of them make the blower much more functional.
There we go! I just snowblowed 15 driveways for the second time this season! I haven’t had the time to record it yet. But keep em coming! And make sure to check out my most recent video
Thanks for watching. My tractor is from the last year (2012) they made the Ultimate series so it has the 904cc. The larger cc engine was used from 2006-2010 and from 2006-2008 it used MFWD and years 2009-2010 used HFWD. The 2011-2012 models had the 904cc engine and used HFWD. I know a guy who has two X748s and with one of the larger cc engine and one with the smaller cc engine. He says that the larger cc engine sounds throatier and is noisier and burns more fuel that the smaller quieter cc engine. All know is that mine sips fuel and I have had zero issues with it!
The JD 455 is a GREAT tractor. I'm actually on the look out for one as a second tractor to use with my tandem 17P dump cart. Loader will be on the X748. The 455s keep their value and still command a high price.
It’s nice to see you making videos again. I’m saving up for an X758, I can’t wait
Thanks for watching. I definitely saved for mine for a few years. You will not regret getting the X758!
@@X748SE Are you able to scrap packed snow with your plow? Does the hydro system on the 700 series make decent down force?

Great tripod shots, I like them much better than in the cab (those are good too).
Thanks for watching and you comment! I'll try to do more videos from the tripod.
Great video! Thanks for sharing...like to watch. I have a blade for mine and thinking about a blower. Looking forward to the next video...

Thanks for watching. Looks like you are putting your X739 to good use this winter. What size of blower do you have?
Damn I wish you were neighbor. I would 100% throw you $100 everytime you did this for me to help with the upkeep of your tractor

Cuz then you could do more videos lawn care and landscaping
Awe now I see what you mean. There will be some different type of videos coming up because I have a new lot to take care of and it will need so work.
What I meant to say was doing lawn care and landscaping work for other people and put it on video and put it on RUclips
Snow...what snow? :)
Thanks for watching. We were lucky to get a bit but most places around us are still green.
Have you ever thought of starting your own lawn care business?
Thanks for watching and no I haven't thought of starting my own lawn care business but maybe in the near future things may change!
You know like doing lawn care for other people with your tractor
I help out my neighbors when I can but I don't usually charge them.
With your own tractor that is
Absolutely with my tractor!
